"This company is notorious for selling crap. They make thier money by inflating shipping rates, and reselling returned items over and over again. I purchased an Item from them through Ebay, when I complained, I was told that bargan depot doesn't sell their products on Ebay, yet if you look at "bargaindepot04" on Ebay, you with find that they have 2715 current auctions. Don't use this reseller!"
"I bought something from this company on ebay. They call themselves "Bargain Depot." The item was advertised as "works great" and it does not work at all. I can see the remains of a previous RMA sticker on the box, so I have PROOF that they sold this at least once, had it returned, and sold it again without testing it.
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!"
"This company sells under the alias Bargaindepot04 on ebay. I know this from the Better Business Bureau of TN. (www.bbb.org) They are continually scamming people of high shipping chargesm, incorrect items, mis-representations and other scams. They are near impossible to contact directly and always give automated answers. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY, unless you like giving money away. I have talked with 10+ people who have had the same problems with them. Check out their ebay feedback (bargaindepot04), it sure is amazing that 3877 people left negative feedback if this is such a good company????"
"Run away from this merchant as fast as you can. They are misrepresenting the merchandise they are selling, most of which is likely as bad as the junk the sold me (a phone described as in perfect condition, that had no handset at all). They sell on eBay as bargaindepot04 and their shipping charges are hugely inflated, so that when you go to return the item (which you will want to do because it will not be what a reasonable person would have expected based on their description), you will be out $10 or so in inflated shipping charges even if they do send you a refund on the purchase price. The amount in question will be just small enough to make most folks just write it off, and since it is supposedly shipping charges, it will be difficult to recover anyway. And that is the heart of their scam. They get the item back to sell again and again. They make $10 or so on each sale. And they sell 5000+ items a month. Calculate that out and they can make $50,000 a month selling and reselling the same defective useless crap. This is a very well thought out scam, that is clearly working very well for them. Look at how many people here are all saying basically the same thing. Hopefully all of them have reported these guys to eBay, their local DAs, and their credit card companies. This is a good old fashioned con dressed up for the new millenium, but the smell is very familiar, and it stinks. They are the worst people I have ever dealt with on eBay. And make no mistake, this is the same outfit that sells locally in TN and on their own website under the name ConsumerDepot.com "
"Consumer Depot is a legitimate business, but not a trustworthy one. I ordered and recieved (after a long game of phone tag with their inept service associates) an obviously used and non-functional laminator which had been billed as "new." Although they do send you the products you order at good prices, they are nearly impossible to reach, and not pleasant to do business with. I would probably not order another product from them."
"Deliberate misrepresentation. Printer described by BargainDepot as new/open box. Printer had been used long and hard, which was obvious by looking at it. Turned it on -- loud screech of metal against metal. Box had been taped shut a number of times -- probably sold and returned a number of times. They undoubted charged the $24 shipping fee each time, rendering their fraudulent transactions profitable, at least for them."
"Simple transaction. Pick a laptop from their website, bill to my credit card and send to my business address not my billing address. I jumped through every hoop, sent every form, got them a real live bank person to talk to. They never released the order after 7 days. No live people to talk to by phone. Email support was less than helpful. Basically, an AWFUL experience. I almost expect my credit card to get billed anyway... that's how little I trust them. I will be watching for that."
"BUYER BEWARE!!!
I have had one of the worst Ebay experience ever with the so called Bargain Depot! I won a bid for a All-IN-One Copier/scanner/printer/fax machine, a "NEW" Brother MFC 5100C.. I paid the inflated shipping.. the package arrived.. I opened it and it was a "USED Brothers 3000" not even close to what I ordered! Not only that, it was a used and a broken unit to top it all off. I sent them email, after email, only to get a automated response. I sent that package back to them "Had to pay my own shipping to send it back.. RIP OFF!!!" I talked with the people at FEDEX and they warned me about this company. The women at FEDEX called "Consumer Depot" because they were listed as the account holder for Bargain Depot and the women on the phone said that they have nothing to do with Ebay... "LIES" She continued to stick by her story until the women at FEDEX got the truth out of her. The phone number to them is ***-***-****. You won't get any answers out of these guys, they will tap dance around the truth. BUYER BEWARE!!! BUYER BEWARE!!! BUYER BEWARE!!!
Now I know how they make their money, you receive a wrong or defective product, and it back "pay your own shipping" and then they either keep your money or refund you, either way you get SCREWED!
P.S
This crook goes under the Ebay name of BargainDepot04 and also surplusdealz05, I'm not sure what other accounts they scam from.
"
"I was able to get this companies Phone # - I called them and the completely lied to me. saying that they did not sell things on ebay. They refused to discuss my order. Told me they were a different company. This company has like 3 different names. The one listed here. Bargain Depo. Auction Logistix. They are all the same I assume fraud must be involved if a company refueses to take responsabilty for a mistake. My item was never even shipped, I paid and the charge did not go thru. I tried to contact them to find out why, and no response. Martin Fike is the owners name. Please Dont buy from them."
"They sent me a display model Epson 3170 scanner - a hollow plastic shell with no electronics inside. They promised that it was inspected by their technicians. Sure. It never worked. It can't be made to work.
Terrible customer service.
They don't have a working email, you have to submit a "webform" which they might eventually (and incompletely) answer. Until they block you because they don't want to hear from you anymore.
They don't have a working phone number, you only can listen to a recording which tells you to submit a webform! Do not buy from them.
Also DBA as bargaindepot04 on eBay. WHOIS shows Bargain Depot help page (http://216.248.27.60/bargaindepot/contact.asp) belongs to Consumer Depot (216.248.27.52) at 3332 Powell, Goodlettsville TN 37204. It's the same address as Bargain Depot uses for returns, so there's absolutely no doubt that it's the same company. They have IP addresses from 216.248.27.48 - 216.248.27.63."
"I can only agree with everything stated below.
I ordered a dvd burner on their web site www.consumerdepot.com and the thing would burn but not read anything.
I live in Nashville and try to return it at the store (Same address as I was supposed to ship it to). Rude as can be. Didn't work. Had to ship it.
Trying to get in contact with them is no use either. They keep sending automated emails to all your questions and phone support....The "girl" kept telling me. "I'm not sure how they do it"...Well, who is then. Finally got my money back though....NEVER AGAIN. "
"WORST EBAY EXPREIENCE OF MY LIFE. THIS COMPANY IS A TOTAL RIP OFF. ORDERED PRINTER. CAME DEFECTIVE. RETURNED WITHIN TIME LIMITS. NEVER GOT A REFUND. CAN'T CONTACT THE INTERNET PART OF THIS COMPANY. MR. FIKE IS A TOTAL CROOK. NEVER BUY FROM!!"
"The cheapest purchase I ever made on the web - quite literally. I was concerned after reading reviews, but for $2.50 with shipping (checked my statement... that's all they charged as stated) what did I have to lose? Order placed late Friday of Memorial Day weekend, it shipped Tuesday.
I was out when FedEx came yesterday - it's here today. Brand new 6' SCSI cable that everyone else wanted $15-$20... I plugged it in, it works great, I'm happy."
"In my 5 years with ebay these guys rank as on of the all time worst sellers. I purchased a Sony DVD burner from them mainly because of their feedback rating and return policy, feeling confidant that in case the item was defective I could get a replacement. When the item arrived it was poorly packed (came in the original box with half of its internal packing material missing). Upon inspection the drive had a cracked door ether from shipping or previously. I installed the drive anyway to use it and the door was not operative and needed the assistance of you hand to get it opened and when a disc was burned, it was un readable. I received the drive 6 days after the sale and was concerned that I would miss their 7 day return policy, especially since I was leaving out of town on business. I emailed the company explaining my situation only to receive an automated response to my mail that never addressed my issue. Needless to say I missed the cutoff and when I called them (it took several calls over a weeks time to get a hold of someone) was treated with arrogance with no regard to customer service. From what I have read in this forum and from other info on the web, I can only come to the conclusion that I was had by very cleaver scam artists that pose as a legitimate company with an artificially inflated feedback rating. Do yourself a favor and take heed of the comments from me and the other poor soles on this forum, DON’T BUY FROM THEM!!"
"Do not buy anything from this company. Their honesty is in question. I ordered a scanner from them. It worked two days and broke. It had an unusual noise when I first started it up so I suspect it was bad when they sent it to me. Their guarentee is 14 days but in my attempts to return the item I have had no luck. They do not have a phone in the return section and the only way to complain is by email. My last email was answered but their reply was that it is to late now. I am past the 14 days. They had it in their possesion within the 14 day period but they returned it to me because a return number they required on the outside of the bpx was covered up by the UPS label. I ended up with their broken scanner and am out the money with no recourse except hire an attorney of which I am considering."
