"I ordered a Brother MFC-8950DWT laser multi-function printer 3/12/2014. They advertise free shipping. However, on 3/21/2014 (9 days after the order was placed) I received a phone call from a guy that said that it would cost almost $90 to ship it. I cancelled the order immediately and ordered it from a popular, reputable site for $1 more...with free shipping!"

"Definitely the best with the most. I have been searching for some time for the exact printer I wanted, like the one I had, and they are the only one who could furnish it. The staff was so knowledgeable and helpful, easy to deal with. Even when there was a slight problem with the equipment after shipping, they took are of it immediately and to my utmost satisfaction. Kudos to Copyfaxes - I'm now a customer for life for my business."

"Can you say "Bait and Switch"? This company has deceptive retail practices. I ordered a printer - they subsituted another model with out notification, and charged an additional $199 for toner that is included by the manufacturer. Supposedly you agree to this when then call to ask you if you want toner and drum and advise you of shipping charges. Shipping was slow, my credit card was billed prior to the order even being sent to the warehouse and I had to repeatedly ask for an itemized invoice. Very frustrating. Note: I order many many printers and other IT equpment each year for several offices and have never had such a bad experience. Zero stars!"

"I ordered a paper shredder from CopyFaxes on May 31, 2012. I received a confirmation e-mail saying "Shipping(Call for free shipping)" with a price of $0.00 on the invoice. By June 5, I hadn't received shipping information or heard back from the company, so I called customer support. I was told that shipping would be an extra $36.50 for standard ground, and that free shipping is only available on orders of 5 or more items. The price was still reasonably competitive, so I agreed. I received my item on June 14 in new condition, as expected.

However, I gave this seller a low rating for the following reasons:

1) No shipping confirmation
2) Misleading advertising for "free shipping"
3) The fact that I had to call them to complete the order. If you are going to have an antiquated online system where a phone call is required, at least have your customer service call me.

The only reason that I didn't give them one star is because the item came in the promised condition, and for a fairly low price. However, I could have saved some money going with a different retailer had CopyFaxes been more honest up-front about their shipping costs. Overall, I am happy with the product and the price I paid, just not with how this company does business.

"Purchased a refurbished product then was told it was probably only good for parts. Had to upgrade to remanufactured to get what I needed. Very confusing. Buyer beware. Also free shipping means waiting a month until their truck swings down from NJ. Weird stuff. However, by the time the conversation was over, I purchased the printer for a similar price to what I could get local. Saved about $5. Not worth the difference IMHO."

"I purchased a product listed in stock at a certain price, gave my credit card etc. Got a call stating the item was in stock but gave me some line about me having to purchase a toner, which I insisted I didn't need or want, bringing my price up from advertised price of 999.00 (stated ask for free shipping, which I also didn't get) to 1237.00 with a toner a shipping. I purchased the item for 1039.00 shipped, with a toner. Don't tell anyone, I have been an Authorized Panafax Dealer since 1987...I know the toner/drum comes complete in the box...and there is no "end user" or "dealer" box.....what a bunch of bull. Poor way of doing business...bad for repeat business."

"I ordered a 60" Samsung LED. They offered free shipping and the lowest price. I received a call informing me the TV would be delivered but the free shipping was only possible with no guarantees the TV would be operable - I therefore agreed to pay a delivery charge north of a 100 usd. A couple of weeks later I was called and given a tale of woe and how the TV was not available. These boys do not know how to run a business - The price maybe low but the product and service is a no show - strong recommendation to not consider these brash New York operators! 1 star is the least I can give them - they deserve less!"
