"I am so glad CostCaptain sent another email to do a survey, because I deleted the first email. I purchased a computer mouse over a month a ago, and I must have signed up for a subscription at the same time. Exactly one month after my purchase I received a charge for $29.00 to my bank account. I was not thrilled about this, so I emailed their customer support team. I received a response that same day. Explained to the agent my issue and she canceled whatever it was that I signed up for and refunded the charge. The whole issue was handle extremely quickly, very professional, and with absolutely no hassle or grief. I am very, very happy with their services and the product I received. If I need anymore computer products I am definitely going to CostCaptain. Good customer service is a make it or break it deal for me. I have cancel cell phone contracts and paid the early termination fee over bad customer service. That is how serious good quality customer service is to me. I have never been a person to do feedback or surveys, but to let others know about how much I appreciated the services and how great my experience was makes it worth my time."

"This website was incredibly unprofessional. The first thing that happened was after placing my order with 2 day shipping the item sat in a queue for 4 days.

Finally i sent a very nice e-mail asking what was the expected time frame on it since everytime i checked my order it said "en route to carrier" apparently it takes 4 days to get it to the carrier. After inquiring about it, i did not get a message back instead my order suddenly changed to being sent out.

If you do have to order from this site, it's a good idea to send them an email after 24 hours, don't go through a support ticket, actually e-mail them.

"I order a tv from cost captain a week ago. I purchased the expedited shipping. The order says it is still pending and I cannot get ahold of anyone at the company. I have called their customer service number four times and waited on hold for fifteen minutes just to leave a voicemail which never has been returned. I have emailed them to no avail. Nothing is working I wish I would have bought the tv from somewhere else or they would just contact me and tell me the problem."

"I placed an order for a HP K8600 printer. I paid an extra $12.99 for "expedited shipping". (Apparently "expedited shipping" just means they will try to ship it out in 1-2 days, not that you will receive it in 1-2 days)
Three days later, their website still showed my order as "Processing". I contacted their customer service. They responded apologizing and stating that my order had been transferred to their carrier that day and a tracking number would be sent me when it was available. I also asked that my $12.99 (expedited shipping fee) be refunded, but they said that they could only refund $8.00 of it.
Five more days later, I still had not recieved an email with the tracking number. So I contacted them again. This time, they claimed that my order had been cancelled due to no availability. I was never notified of this cancellation!!

They lied to me and screwed me around for 8 days. I will never order from this website again.

04/09/13 - Just as a follow up I still have not received a refund for my order!!!! SCAM!!

04/10/13 - Finally received my refund!!! It only took 4 weeks. It may be time for Cost Captain to be demoted.

"I placed my order on Wednesday, March 6th. Almost immediately, I received an email letting me know that Costcaptain was experiencing a delay in shipping, and I could cancel my order if I needed to. I contacted Customer Support, who informed me that the item had actually shipped, though no further information was given. For the next 5 days, the package was listed as "en route to carrier", but not shipped. I had no tracking number to confirm this.

After contacting support again, they informed me that it shipped, and suddenly my order status changed and I saw it was scheduled for delivery.

Upon receiving the package, I found that I received the wrong item! I ordered a computer case without a clear window for an extra fan mount, and received one with a window. The item description made no mention of this, and the one picture for the item did not have the window. This is a fairly minor issue, so I don't think it's worth paying extra shipping costs and waiting for the correct one.

However, my experience with Costcaptain.com was so haphazard and misinformed, I can't say I would ever feel comfortable ordering from them again. They may be a few dollars cheaper, but it's worth the extra money to go to someone reputable like Newegg or TigerDirect so you know exactly what you are getting and when.

Currently this is what my order status states on their web page. I have made 3 phone calls and been FORCED to voicemail each time. Each time leaving a DETAILED message. I have received no response. I have filled out the customer service form TWICE and received no response from that either. My order was placed on 02/23/13. This is my last ditch effort to get my order. I will contact my bank tomorrow and request a refund due to internet fraud by this company.

"I ordered a Roxio HD Game Capture Pro for my son's birthday. Their prices were great and since my son's birthday was in six days I paid for the 1-2 day expedited shipping option. 2 days before my son's birthday I sent a panicked email because it was still not showing as shipped. I could not find a phone number to contact them anywhere. Even though 4 days had passed before they processed the order, they did respond well to my email and sent the package next day air. I didn't have it for his party, but it was waiting on the steps when we got home. As long as time is not a factor I would do business with them again. Although their lack of a contact phone number is not optimal."

"I ordered adobe Photoshop CS6 extended in the Mac version but they sent the Windows version. I have left messages and sent emails over several days now and no one has responded. They do not have the Mac downloadable version on their web site, so I'm wondering if they are out of them and sent what they had. Very frustrating. Guess I'll have to call my credit card company but I'd really rather resolve it.

Follow up: I received a quick email from Costcaptain after I posted on this site. Their response was not correct because it said that I could return it, then an email said adobe does not take returns, then I found out that they would not return it because I had opened it. My fault for not being more careful for what I ordered. They thought it was unfair to rate them so low, so I would give them a five for everything but being more clear what you have ordered (my receipt only had a partial description because the description was so long it left off the MAC part. I would also give them a low score on follow up to their emails and messages. BOTTOM LINE: I would recommend them for price and speed of delivery, but BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN YOU ORDER AND DOUBLE CHECK YOURSELF BEFORE PLACING THE ORDER.

"I ordered from costcaptain.com a motorized outdoor tv antenna. The site clearly stated it was in stock, so I ordered and paid for the shipping. 3 days later I get an email telling me it isn't in stock. After emailing them numerous times i finally heard back a week later saying they had a replacement item if I was interested otherwise it would be another 3 weeks. So I called them and suddenly while on the phone with their rep. they find 19 of my original item in stock. I supposed to be expedited and get here in two days. Have contacted the better business bureau after seeing all the negative reviews online about the company. They have several reports about this issue with this company as well as bait and switch accusations. I will never order from this company again. I don't recommend anyone to order from them. And if I still don't have my item in 2 days as promised I will be contacting the proper authorities to place a class action suit against them. Cost Captain Sucks!!! Beware!!!"
