"I ordered a sofa. It was supposed to be delivered on the following Monday. I didn't receive a phone call the night before or day of delivery. During the delivery window, I get an email saying "missed delivery". After 2 hours on the phone, I find out Costco provided my phone number incorrectly to the delivery company. They called the wrong # and spoke to someone who said they didn't order a sofa. So the sofa was rescheduled for the following Monday. That morning I get a call from the driver saying parts are missing. Turns out, the entire sofa is missing. Sofa is rescheduled again for the following Monday. Monday morning comes around, no phone call. I call Costco in the am told it will be delivered that day and provided a 2 hour window. I leave work ( unpaid) to wait for the truck. It never comes. I'm told they called the wrong # again. At this point, I've wasted 4 hours on the phone and 6 hours unpaid work waiting for the sofa that never came. I cancelled my order and bought a sofa from Macy's which is better quality. The sofa was delivered 3 weeks early. I have asked to speak to a manager to share my experience. Nobody is ever available and the promise to have a manager call back is empty. I will not shop at Costco again."
"on 20th of march I went to Costco Ipswich, QLD to buy some stuffs , I Requested cashier, i want to use my two bank cards to make payment . she didn't allow me to do so. Her supervisor involved , He want to check my membership cards, Driving license , Bank cards, though they check membership card at the entry point and before starting scanning, i don't mind they checking my membership card several times. But they don't have any authority to check my bank card, Its like insulting customer. Though they charge for membership but don't show any respect to member."
"“I’ve been a member with Costco for more years than I’d like to admit and have spent a lot of my hard earned money with them. BIG MISTAKE! Sure you mostly get polite employees on the phone but then you get lucky like me and end up on the phone with an employee in their logistics dept. interrupting an upset customer (yes I was upset) and then proceeds to talk over me demanding I talk to her with respect!! Seriously? That’s rich. Considering the reason I was on the phone was because diff staff PROMISED to call me back and failed to do so and this was to correct a botched delivery. Condition of delivery remains to be seen because I still don’t have the gift that was supposed to be a white glove delivery for my moms birthday. Well there goes that birthday surprise!! As for that white glove delivery.... it’s been dragged through the mud and covered in tar! So next time Costco is advertising white glove, I’ll keep the extra $180 in my pocket and pick it up from the warehouse! That way I don’t have to hear lame excuses and promises of phone calls that don’t come to fruition! So yes they’d get a zero if it were available!"
"If Costco can't get their head out of their a** and start putting their warehouse inventory online, then they should ONLY be an online outlet. Just went to my local warehouse that "may be available at your local warehouse", only to find out that they don't. That was my last venture to a warehouse. If you don't deliver it for free, I'm not buying. Sam's Club has it all over you in that respect, and that'll be my choice from now on."
"Joshua K. Via chat assisted me with the return and account credit.
The process was easy with Joshua's assistance. Professional and knowledgeable."
"Placed an order for printerand it went thru ok.get a message 4 days later stating there was an error on credit card info, placed order again and get the same response. Costco now has over $600.00 of my money held up and say that they cannot release my funds for several days! If my orders are cancelled, why wontthey release my funds back to me? WHAT A JOKE! NEVER AGAIN WILL I ORDER FROM COSTCO! They made the mistake and now I am being penalzed from my bank for it! And the best part... They are all a "call from home" operators Had to go thru 5 diff operators and the last 2 acted like it was a joke!"
"Please don't order ANYTHING from Costco.com They are completely incapable of providing ANY correct information on inventory, shipping, etc this is the 3rd time they have misrepresented their abtility to correctly process orders and the umpteenth time going round and round on their cue if not being outright being disconnected. I under stand that the Warehouse model does not work right now, no curbside pickup for example. But being honest regarding capability when taking your money is only keeping with supposed customer service.
I have canceled my Executive Membership that I and my Company held for more than a decade."
"I was pretty satisfied with this and it was a good price for the features. First gaming desktop and I've heard a lot of good things so I'm looking forward to a great experience!"
"If there is one thing I learned this year, it is not to order appliances from Costco. I will tell everyone I’ve ever met how horrible this experience has been. When you spend nearly 5k on a kitchen set and are promised delivery, installation, and removal you might expect quality. Instead I feel like I must have ordered a junk set of appliances from some hole in the wall down the street. And worst of all, somehow I feel like the bad guy still.
We ordered appliances in July. We knew there would be a back order and delivery may take a while. After a month of no news, we were told we should receive them in September. On the September date we did get a delivery, but they were not the crew who installs, so we had to wait some more. When the install crew finally came, they found the microwave had a defect and they couldn’t put it in. So we waited some more. A few weeks even. With my old microwave on a counter because the screws stripped when they removed it. Then the day came for the microwave delivery and again, it was just delivery without installation. Throughout this time, there have been many phone calls, some polite and some irate. And many reschedulings.
Costco themselves have tried to remain helpful and did give us a $100 credit at one point. But the vendors you choose to you are reflecting poorly on your brand. It’s insane to me how terrible an experience we had from such a reputable company.

"I tried to walk in and was stopped by Jo-Anne and was told I was too young to be there even though I had my costco membership in my hand. She then proceeded to raise her voice at me and tell me that i wasn't allowed in because of my age, let me say you have to be 18 to have a costco membership and I am 20. Then proceeded to grab out for my card even though we are in the middle of a global pandemic. Do not recommend going because they are rude and didn't listen and wont listen to health and safety."
"I’m having to cancel my order today after 3 weeks past delivery date for my washer and drier. I have a potty training toddler this is so frustrating!! 3 weeks without a washer and drier is ridiculous! Shipping and customer service has been terrible. 2.5 hour waits on calls and no one is willing to do anything about getting my order moving. "
"My Costco membership has saved me so much money."
"This delivery system that Costco has chosen is unprofessional and irresponsible. Not to have any contact with the customer in the scheduled times was frustrating to say the least. No tracking number to follow your order was another factor. Nor did Costco give you name of this delivery company. To be contacted an hour and half after your scheduled time is just not acceptable. Costco handling of this delivery system to their customers is unacceptable and Below their standard. What a huge disappointment "
"So... Due to Covid, Costco is no longer putting air in people's car tires. Because suddenly, three months after Covid hit, they care. Yes. They care. In fact, they all of a sudden - magically even - care SO MUCH about everyone's safety and health that they want to reduce the contact between people and customers to eliminate any possibility for a Covid outbreak. So they've set up a station whereby people who pay $155 a year for a Costco membership and who buy Costco tires for the specific reason of having Costco maintain them, can fill their own tires. Apparently tires are now a Covid threat.
Because usually before I go to Costco I spend some up close and personal time getting intimate with my tires. I talk to them, breath on them, maybe accidentally pant or sneeze on them, or cough - maybe - on them, touch them - tires need love too. I don't know; it's possible - I mean it could happen that I might accidentally lick them if I get too close, just because. You know how things can go with tires. So, I can see how the kindly people at Costco would be concerned that their employees might get Covid from my tires.
I am thoroughly disgusted and disappointed with Costco's latest excuse to back out of providing good customer service under the guise of pretending to care about their employee's and customer's health.
Dear Costco, if you truly cared about your customer's health, you would have had a jumbo size container of Clorox wipes by the pin pad at every checkout counter at every Costco across the country from day one, because if Covid really is the threat that you are pretending it is, your credit card pin pads would have killed hundreds of thousands - if not millions - of people by now.
And FYI, spotlighting one of your customer's complaints about forcing your customers to wear a mask THREE MONTHS INTO the so-called pandemic, is a despicable way to utilize fear, hate, and mob idiocy to shame a person who is voicing a fair concern about your tardy and pathetic store policy, and the worthlessness of masks as documented by OSHA on their website.
If I could give zero stars for customer service and using Covid to go as cheap and low as a store can go, I would. "
"We have been Costco members since '09, and continue to be members thanks of the staff of the NW SATX Warehouse. Always have what we are looking for and new products to keep us coming back. Case in point, the purchase of a computer in store was about $200 less than online. "
