Great customer service

" My most recent purchase was not what I expected from Crutchfield. I ordered a stereo including installation gear and accessaries for a Ford F-250, but was sent items for an F-150. Customer service rep's were helpful, expediting the correct dash panel etc. I have been installing Crutchfield gear in my vehicles, including motorcycles, since the mid 1980's, and I believe this to be the first time I've had to deal with this type of issue. I factored this into the 5 star rating. I will continue using & recommending Crutchfield, gladly! "

Receiver Purchase

"I bought KEF LS50 and recommended wire (from Crutchfield) with banana plug. When i got my order i figured out that KEF LS50 doesn't have banana plug connection so i needed to disassemble banana plug on one side of wire."

Shopping good - install not-so-much

"I haven't ordered from Crutchfield in eons... It was super easy to order - put in make and model and get a great variety of options. Suggested add-ons were helpful but not conclusive. So shopping experience and variety was 5 stars. Shipping was 2 days as promised.
Most of what was delivered was of great value and just as I'd hoped. HOWEVER - the install instructions were a bit too simplistic. They didn't even touch on the magnitude of work involved in installing a new car stereo.
My wiring harness was missing a wire. In my case, it was the dreaded solid white wire (aka, the driver's side speaker wire). Of course, one doesn't realize this until one has the car in 47 pieces and the dash sitting on their lap.
So I IM/chat customer service who cannot help - I need to call. I call and poor Jack.... Jack got an earful from me - to his credit - he never changed his calm tone and took my expletive peppered rant like a champ. What could he do besides send it out to me? I look to see what is being sent... IT'S A WHOLE NEW WIRING HARNESS. Um... I spent half my life attaching orange to orange and grey with black to grey with black... I am NOT un-doing that... so I'm hopeful that I can remove that one wire and pop it into the harness.
Moral of the story? Jack, you're a champ. Crutchfield's selection is good. The ease of shopping is good. The deal is good. But if you're not an experienced installer, the "install instructions" are crap and not having necessary parts is unacceptable. The 3 speakers and stereo that I have hooked up sound way better than the original 1998 double din cassette/CD/radio with blown speakers... so, there's that.

Perfect Execution

"I looked for one thing in a new stereo. Bluetooth. It's really all I needed. How did I buy a stereo without it? Do they even still make stereos without Bluetooth? Apparently, they do. But that could well have been my fault. The order page doesn't claim to have it. Though the reviews say it does.

That said, They included everything I'd need to install it for free, as well as instructions on how to install it. Even instructions on how to remove the old one. It didn't come with **** splices for the wire kit. But I already had some since they're very common for people who use electricity. Though if you don't, you won't have them on hand.

The delivery was super fast and even came with tracking so I knew where it was the whole time. Really could not have executed the delivery better. Installation was exactly like they said it would be.

I now recommend Crutchfield to my friends and family. I almost never recommend companies to anyone so it says a lot that I would be willing to do so.

Great support and help

"Talking to a representative at Crutchfield is always a great experience. They always have the knowledge I need and answers to my questions. The website has a ton of information about my vehicles.

I was shopping for a sub to replace my stock sub and my specialist was able to answer questions I had based on a YouTube video I was watching. Would always buy my audio equipment from Crutchfield.
