A rep from Cymax Business, CymaxTK, has responded:

“Hello Kim,

On November 17th, you had placed an order for two “48 inch wide” Hutches, both of which we show a successful delivery on November 22nd. On November 24th, you had let us know that the wrong size was ordered and that you needed a “36 inch wide” hutch instead.

We had then provided you with two return labels so that we could assist in facilitating the return. Please note that the manufacturer charges a 50% re-stocking fee and since this was a Buyer’s Remorse return, the original shipment costs would also be deducted from the refund. Original purchase $629.98 .

On November 24th, without any closure on the above mentioned original order, you placed a new order for two “36 inch wide” Hutches, which we then show a successful delivery on November 29th.

You and I managed to connect to address the issue at hand. You had mentioned that someone had mentioned to you that we would waive the re-stocking fee should you place a new order. We had also discussed the fees and the reasons thereof so that everything was clarified.
After our discussion , we had decided to refund you a total of $457.55 of your original cost by reducing the fees as a kind gesture of customer appreciation. We also provided you with a 10% discount/refund on the second purchase of an additional $49.60.
After agreeing to our resolution , you seemed to be content with the outcome and had shared with me that you were satisfied with the outcome.

While we apologize for any issue that arose, we were happy to address them with you. We hope you enjoy your purchase.

Wonderful customer service!!!

"I would highly recommend Cymax. The service was great. The desk was shipped and received very quickly. I received an email checking to be sure I received the desk, I assumed it was automated. When I had a quick question about the assembly I was pleasantly surprised that it was a real person, and she responded immediately. The assembly was as easy as assembling as desk could be, I had no issues. One of the pieces had some damage during shipping, when I informed her of the issue, I was shipped a new top immediately. The desk is exactly as I expected, and the quality was great. It took longer than it should have for me to choose the right desk, but I am thankful I chose Cymax. "

Punished For Their Shipping Mistake

"I ordered 3 sets of Safavieh dining chairs pictured in off-white/linen colored upholstery, with cherry wood legs. It appears that the chairs sent to me were in "oyster" color with black legs. I was forced to pay $243 shipping cost to return items as a result of Cymax's mistake."
