"To add to what i wrote before: It took 4 days for me to actually be credited back the refund. It was NOT processed immediately. I was also shocked to see 4-5 new reviews all from new users within the last 5 days. All have one post and one review. It's almost as if they are registering to counter the bad reviews.

Product was ordered on March 8th, 2009, was in stock, and i received an order confirmation after the credit card was charged. No word for 5 business days so i emailed on March 14th and received a reply stating it would ship on Tuesday March 17th. Today, March 18th 7 business days later, i received an email stating that the ups shipping label has been created and billing information received. I emailed Dakmart to find out if they can expedite the shipping since it was shipped via UPS ground. You would think because of all the delays they would do this out of good will. The question was ignored and instead i was told it was processed on Tue. 3/17 and shipped already today Wed 3/18. I became irritated and demanded a refund because of the discrepancy on the shipping. UPS is claiming it has not left the facility and i am being told its shipped on its way. The only good thing was that i received a full refund and no restocking fee.

Bottom line - The shipping wait was inaccusable and no reason was given for the delay. The committed date of 3/17 was never met. I've really been dealing with only one rep and he seems to be the only one answering emails/phones, Dan Kalesky which is probably why its called dakmart. Either he is too busy or this is a side job.

As if it ever shipped....

"On February 4, 2009 I ordered a refurbished Denon receiver from Dakmart's website, only later to find out that they did not have the item in stock. They charged my PayPal account for the full amount on the day of the order. On February 10, 2009 I contacted Dakmart to see if my purchase had been shipped. At that time I was informed that they were "awaiting replacements from Denon." On February 18, 2009 I requested a refund, which was credited to my PayPal account on February 23, 2009. Dakmart was selling these same units on eBay when I placed the order on their website. It appears that they will fill orders on eBay before the orders on their website. One positive note, they did answer my emails very quickly, and refunded my money as requested. "

"I just want to put the record straight and give credit were credit is due. I couldnt be more pleased. I ordered a pair of Sennheiser headphones on Friday and they arrived perfectly 2 days later on Monday. Oh and by the way these $60 headphones cost $6.98 - are you kidding me. Even if they are factory reconditioned by the manufacturer (came in Sennheiser packaging) they are still a deal. Thank you DakMart!!!!!"

"I placed my order and received a confirmation. I soon received an email that the item was not available and they would let me know when it was back in stock. After several weeks, I have not received any further notice. I checked the website today (1/6/09) and the item is listed at three times my original order price. My order still shows up as pending in their system.

After my first order was held up, I decided to order a similar but different item. I received the same notification - item not available at this time and they would let me know when it was in stock and could process my order.

After about two weeks, I used their website to send them an email. I asked about availability of four specific items listed on their website that I was interested in buying. I never received a follow up to my inquiry.

DAKmart advertised a NEW Sony RDR-VX525 DVD-recorder and VCR combo unit for a very reasonable price, comparable with refurbished 555 units available elsewhere. I figured I'd rather get the last-generation device, new, than the more recent one refurbished, so I ordered from them. Upon arrival, it turns out they sent me a REFURBISHED 525; I should have gone with the honest vendor instead and gotten my money's worth. Very disappointed."
