"Dakmart is a local (Fort Lauderdale, FL) company, therefore, I was able to pick up the item (a Denon DRA-397 refurbished receiver) and avoided the shipping cost for a heavy item. Actually I had ordered the DRA-297 model, but Dakmart was out of stock, so they offered me the 397 for $25 more. Not bad considering there's a $100 list price difference between the two models. The unit works fine, as you would expect from a Denon, and I feel I got a great deal."
"I ordered a B Stock Denon Receiver from Dakmart. They are listed as one of two "authorized" B stock resellers on the Denon website. Despite the many warnings on resellerratings.com against Dakmart, I viewed them as my best possible chance at getting the B stock unit that I wanted. The service from Dakmart was flawless.
Given the reviews I had seen, I called after placing the order to confirm that the unit was in stock. I left a voice mail and typed an e-mail quickly. Within 5 minutes I had a call back saying that they did have units in stock, but that I had used an unverified address for my PayPal account and that they could not ship it. (I was shipping to my work address, which was indeed unverified.) I also got a reply to my e-mail from a different person saying that my order was received and the units were in stock.
While I was annoyed with this, I appreciated the attention to detail on the security side and viewed this as my problem not theirs.
It took some effort throughout the day through PayPal to get the address verified and confirmation sent to Dakmart. However, once it was done all was well. The unit shipped the following day and I received it in great shape and in working order 4 working days later via UPS Ground.
I spoke with the salesperson (Patrick Singer) 3 times while I worked out my address situation. He returned a call promptly once, answered the phone when I called another time, and called me the day it shipped to tell me that the address had been verified and that the unit was out the door.
As far as I was concerned the website clearly defined it as a B stock unit. This was not hidden at all. Of course I went there searching for a B stock unit, so got exactly what I expected.

Dakmart often advertises products it does not have in stock - they do not identify items as "out-of-stock," or otherwise warn buyers.
If you order on-line, before calling Dakmart to confirm the item is in stock - you will risk: never receiving the item, long delays in receiving the item, being sent a replacement item, and difficulty obtaining a refund of amounts you may pay on-line.
ALWAYS CONTACT THEM TO CONFIRM THE ITEM IS IN STOCK BEFORE YOU ORDER / ONLY PAY VIA A MAJOR CREDIT CARD, WHICH WILL REFUND YOUR MONEY, IF YOU DO NOT RECEIVE WHAT YOU ORDERED (e.g. Mastercard, Visa with such warranties).

"Wow, I wish I had read all the reviews before deciding to bid on a Dakmart item on ebay. When I won the item, I paid promptly only to have my payment refunded with no explanation. I paid again, because the item showed that it was still available, but again, my money was refunded. This time, Dakmart kept $10 of my money. There was still no explanation. I sent 3 emails inquiring about the item and finally got a terse response 3 days later stating, "Stop paying. No longer available." They couldn't even take the time to write complete sentences or apologize for their error. I have since called twice and was told to email "Dan" with my concern. "Dan" was supposed to contact me the same day (both times), but I have yet to hear from him, if he does actually exist. "I "purchased" a watch online from DakMart, only to have my money refunded to me within one day with no explanation (I paid via PayPal). I was unable to contact anyone about the wherabouts of my product, if it was in stock, if it even existed. No one was willing to reply to my emails, and no customer service number was available to be called. I was very disappointed and frustrated. The ony help I recieved was from the kind people at PayPal to muddle me through this stupid experience. I do not recommend this site for purchases."
"I bought a " NEWIN" DVD sony DVD player. NEWIN box? No newin means refurbished. It is there on their ebay site but ya gotta hunt for it. We called and asked about newin and they said its someones name and were rude as they could be. I hooked up this refurbished sony dvd played and yes you guessed it. It doesn't work. Its gonna be a nightmare trying to get this resolved. And it was only 4 dollars cheaper that new. STAY AWAY from these people."

USPS has record of scanning the delivery but the local deliver person doesn't remember delivering anything to my house. I filed a lost package claim with Pat Singer at Dakmart. I confirmed on the phone that he received it and I received an email that a replacement would be shipped. I never received anything. I contacted Pat Singer again and he "found" the claim in his email inbox and said he would file it. I didn't receive anything and they refused to refund my money on two different requests. PayPal buyer protection is the only way I was able to get my money back.
I will never do business with them again.

"I ordered over $480 from this store, the shipping and handling is ridiculous (esp when it's through USPS). They charged me over $120 for the shipping and handling altogether. On top of that, I called in today, and found out the merchandise was never sent out. It's already been 4 days. They customer service person told me she does not know when my package will get here, and the only thing she could tell me was that it was going to be sent out asap. I thought what a BULL---today is MLK Jr day!
I will have to wait and see what the merchandise look like when it gets here."

My refurb receiver was shipped as promised on the phone, received in like new condition and works fine. 90 day manufacturer's warranty included - DAKMart states they extend it to a year, but I hope not to test it."
"My experience was largely positive! I used this vendor for the purchsae of a Denon AVR-4306 home theater receiver. Since Denon will only honor its manuracturer's warranty on products purchased through authorized vendors, I was limited to only a few online vendors for my purchase. The fact that I was looking to save money by purchasing a factory reconditioned unit further limited my choices. DakMart was the only vendor that showed any availability of this particular model. For refurbished units, I would assume that availability and inventory levels can vary considerably, so I was expecting to need more patience than usual for this order.
At the time of my order, there was no indication on the DakMart Web site that the product was not in stock. Their Web site is not as good as many other online vendors that I use for ascertaining the precise status of a pending order, so I had to call on two different occasions to get an update. Both times, I spoke with perfectly friendly individuals, whose explanations did not raise any red flags with me. I have dealt with a slimy online vendor or two over the years, and DakMart never made me feel like I was dealing with the slimeball types who insist on selling the buyer overpriced accessories and extended warranties and then claim no product availability when the buyer declines the up-sell. DakMart was not this way at all. While I would have preferred a Web site that would tell me exactly where my order stood, my communications with the company were pleasant, informative, and did not require lengthy hold times.
My order took about a month to arrive at my door. The explanation was that a supply of those units had arrived at the vendor in damaged condition due to an improper shipping box type that had been used by mistake by the manufacturer. I obviously do not know if this was true, but the explanation was quite detailed. And the friendly customer service person apologized and volunteered that if I determined that I could not continue waiting for my order, that he would be happy to cancel my order and issue a refund. Since I had no other vendor options for this particular model at a refurbished price, I elected to wait. My order shipped right around the time they told me that they expected the replacements for the damaged units to arrive. It arrived on schedule and in good physical condition. Packaging looked good and was virtually indistinguishable from factory new.
I have not yet connected the receiver, but now that I received my product, I wanted to quickly report my experiences. I was very skeptical when I placed my order, based on the feedback from others, so I wanted to be sure to share my largely positive experience right away."
