"I already made several orders from DX and overall i am more or less satisfied with provided services and support.
Though for some of my orders i had to wait for weeks before shipment (i disabled the option "Ship available items first").
I would recommend DX to use trusted delivery service (PostNL) for the orders which contain items with Lithium batteries. All my orders with Lithium batteries were returned to DX and then re-sent using other delivery service.
Also it would be great to have an ability to manage the orders which were not fully shipped and be able to choose which items to ship next so total price of the package will not become less than $15 (and therefore get TrackingID).
Despite of the mentioned above CONs I am going to continue to buy stuff at DX.com!"

"About 20% of this stuff is utter garbage - reasonable odds at the price for rural customers, but they won't publish a negative review, so don't bother looking at those. My "1800" mah batteries only hit 900 in a careful test, and they rejected that review, and all the others I put in with few stars. Those batteries were rejects, not the cream of the crop, re-labelled by a crook. Two different USB ports are useless, for different reasons, "daylight" bulbs are purple, lighters fall apart, etc. Extensive correspondence produced only further frustration.
My advice is to treat "customer service" as a cyborg with limited english, very few options and almost no time, designed to make you give up. If you are the kind of person who loves to complain persistently about every detail, demands even nickel refunds, and is not put off by stupid liars, this is your company. Show no mercy. "

I have never experienced such a long wait time for shipment.
I understand the deal with Chinese New Year but there needs to be an automated dialogue box or similar during the order process so that customers don't get too cheesed off.
I am a loyal customer; once I start shopping with a site I stick with it. But if the first order is a shemozzle of an experience then I rarely return.
To not contact your customers at all or be available in some way shape or form is just bad business.

Ordered on 1/31. Today is 2/25. I have not receive the order yet. No response to the tickets that I opened. The chat and phone is unavailable. This looks like a scam. Response to DX's rely below: Is this a joke? You are repeatedly asking me to close the Paypal dispute in your ticketing system but do not provide any resolution regarding the item. Today is 3/1/2015. The item still has not left the origin. The tracking number is RI296194601CN.
You say post office on Holiday from 2/14 through 2/24. Ok I believe you. But you also say that the item item is shipped on 2/3. So, why has the item not left origin between 2/3 and 2/14? Why has the item not left origin between 2/24 and 1/3?
Update: 3/8/2015. The item still has not left China. Paypal decided the case in my favor and refunded my money. DX, as of today you have 797 1 star reviews - do something about it - get your act together."
"The DX web site is very good and still being improved. Responsiveness to service requests is very good, with any problems being addressed quickly and efficiently. Most of the many products available appear to be of good quality though sometimes descriptions, especially technical details, suffer slightly from Chinese English. Postage is free if you are happy for a long wait (about 3 weeks to Australia) or you can pay for an earlier delivery.
I make these comments after ordering many items from DX. In every case the service received (apart from delivery times)was as good as, if not better than, the service I receive from Australian online stores."
"Product arrived with no hassle, however it didn't function properly - not something I was lead to believe from the reviews on the site. As it didn't cost much, it wasn't a big deal - I just chucked it in the trash and wrote a detailed review of it - rating it poor - and submitted it to the site. However this review has not been approved, weeks later - and the only reviews of the product on the site are all still positive. So people will continue to buy this sub-standard product from them in the future, having been mislead by the carefully selected ratings. Not cool."
"I bought batteries from Deal Extreme two months ago and they still have not arrived. I got in touch with DX several times and every time they asked me to wait another two weeks. Last time I got in touch with them last Thursday but they have not replied. This service is therefore not up to the mark."
