"This is a review of Dealextreme's EU direct site. I have been a long time DX customer for at least 6 years, ordering from them at least 2 or 3 times a year from their traditional site. I thought I'd give the EU site a try because I needed something shipped quicker than the usual 4-6 weeks that it usually takes. The estimated delivery for my order was 9-11 business days on their site. It is now 16 business days (24 full days since my order was placed), and my shipment has not even arrived in my country yet based on the NL post tracking info. Again based on the tracking info, It took DX 7 full days just to ship my items out after the order date which is ridiculous. I did not realize this until after my order was placed, and it is partly my fault, but DX does not have an EU warehouse like many European customers, including myself, might think. Instead, when you order from their EU direct site, the items still ship from China, and are then sent to an NL post depot in Holland for final sorting and delivery. Some Chinese retailers have items in stock in Europe...Dealextreme is not one of them. I don't see the point in their EU site given this. The prices on their EU site are higher than their traditional site, and the tradeoff should be faster delivery, but as you can see it is not. I also want to mention that I signed up for their newsletter using 4 different e-mail accounts so I can get a measly $5 coupon as promised. I have never received even one coupon. When I e-mailed them to see what was going on, they asked me to prove that I signed up by sending them screenshots of my newsletter signup confirmation. Really? Never again from these people. There are plenty of other options out there.
I expect a typical "sorry for the inconvenience" type reply from them below. They will not offer any solution but will provide plenty of runaround. I will just file a Paypal claim and let them deal with their "customer service" department.
EDIT: It is now January 30th, one full month after my order was placed. The tracking info shows that it was received in my country on the 29th (contrary to DX's claim that it was here in my country on the 16th (that was simply untrue)). It will probably get to me by next week. That will be over a full month. Again, there is no point in ordering from DX's EU Direct site, and as far as I'm concerned there is no point in ordering from DX period.
EDIT 2: Got my items today 2/3/15, exactly 23 business days after my order was placed. Again, EU direct says 2-4 days handling and 9-11 days shipping for a max of 15 days. I could have gotten the stuff cheaper from their regular site and probably would have received in the same time frame."

"I have ordered many times last year at dx.com (the last is at 12/2/2014). All the items arrived safely at my place. I have to admit that two of the orders take longer time to arrive, but they did arrive. The items' quality are acceptable, considering their cheap price. There are, of course, other online store with much more various items than DX, but I find that DX is the best store for cheap items."
"Last week, I bought 17 items, 15 of which were MVP. I placed the order on a Saturday and the 15 MVP products were shipped the next day. That is impressive. The other 2 items had a 7 - 10 day lead time and shipped in 6 days, again impressive. I would however like to point out that my previous order with split shipments was a nightmare and took forever because of DX not having stock of certain items.
The quality of most of the items is very suspect but I suppose you cant expect much considering the price you pay.
Best advice I can suggest if you plan to take a leap of faith and order something, is as follows:
1) Buy only MVP products if you can.
2) Do yourself a HUGE favor and pay that bit extra for expedited shipping. My products arrived with DHL less than a week after I ordered. In past experience, airmail with tracking number takes about 3 months and without tracking number took up to 6 months.
3) Read the reviews to see if the product is as described/pictured and see what others think about it. Some products exceed customers expectations, and others, not so much.
