"It's pretty sad to see all the negative reviews of Dealextreme. I've ordered some in the past, and like 8 of the 10 packages (without tracking number) did arrive in good condition, 2 are still not here, after 2 months but it was cheap and didn't have tracking so it was worth a gamble, i'm still hoping for those to arrive sooner or later. Now i ordered 2 phones of 80$ each, which is quite alot of money for me, and after reading the reviews from here i really start to doubt if they will arrive, and if not, the tracking number is enough for them to solve my problem, but again, from reading the reviews here i start to question it.

It looks like the staff does reply to negative reviews, to disproofe they are a scam, but my problem is that there are way too many of them. Dealextreme is so big, yet they do not provide the highest level of customer service to make buying from here comfortable, so i suggest them to work on this. I also like to point out that i once had to contact the customer live chat, and the guy i was talking to sounded really moody, which made me feel uncomfortable.

For the people who bought stuff and didn't receive what they expected, all i can say is READ THE REVIEWS, dx has the biggest product offer of all chinese webshops, and yes they do sell alot of junk brands, but i do not blame them for this, all i can say is check the reviews, and lookup videos on youtube of this particular product and unboxings from dealextreme.

Overall conclusion:
Dealextreme is not a scam, they provide low prices and usually it arrives. But i think that they can do way better on their customer service and also on keeping track of expensive items, to make sure they arrive to every single customer without issues. A 5.7 out of 10 rating is not really looking promising, and i think everyone reading this will think twice about buying here.

"The main reason I like to buy at Deal Extreme is the great number of products available, there are several options in every category.
Another reason is the customer support. This year two shipments of one of my orders unfortunately got lost. They promptly solved this situation, resending those items.

"I took a chance and spent $30 on something based on the pictures of the item on dx.com. The item that I received did not have any of the features (Night vision binocular, Range finder telescope) that were shown in the pictures and that were listed. I am surprised that it has such high reviews despite the pictures on the web page being obvious fakes once you see the actual product. I guess that the cheap price should tip you off that if it sounds too good to be true it probably is. I tried to write a negative review and explain the false advertising made on the web page but the site would not let me submit a negative review. I guess that it would hurt their sales if everyone found out the website is full of lies. Next, I tried to chat with someone at dx.com and they basically blew me off by saying that they will "pay more attention". I told him that I wanted them to correct the website so that they did not take advantage of anyone else and that I would be monitoring that page to see if it gets updated with the correct information for the product. Remember, if it sounds and looks to be too good to be true, it's not!"

"I ordered from them a Mennon Lens Hood 186848 at a good price. But unfortunately it did not arrive before we went to Spain, where it would have been nice to have.

When I got back from there, a card from the post, was on the mat, saying, a package was waiting at the depot.

Straight over there without unpacking to find that it had already been returned. So my problem is, that when I send a mail to ****@**** I get a long list of Failed to connect, Timed out. I have come here to see if they can be contacted through this means. I have no doubt that I would have posted a five star here, had the package been kept longer by our Post Office, instead of returning at such a short storage time

As the money has been taken out of an account that is not normally used by PayPal, I would like for the item to be sent again.

I have now updated the information, by sending a screen grab of my Paypal and Bank statement showing the transactions, to ResellerRatings to comply with the request from DealExtreme
Even though at the time of posting, I thought that the order number and date below, was all that was required

As of today, 17th December I've not seen a reply, where as most mails get answered by DealExtreme in less time, than I've been waiting. Could it be that the answer is hiding somewhere else?
