"Seems like the dealings with DCCA are all the same. Money is taken instantly then no word from the company then the classic e-mail run around. So far I have gotten the (it was a special order, and has not shown up yet.), (We will get it done.),(Should be within 1-2 business days.). I just felt like im never going to get my items so today I officially asked for my money back. Hopefully I will get a fast response to my request. But for anyone who is thinking about buying from DCCA because of their great prices think again. I think its one of those to good to be true deals. I just wish i would have done my research prior to purchasing from DCCA. Lesson Learned"

fine... so i found some items that i liked and figured i would try out this company... ordered 400$ worth of gear... waited my 10days... emailed the company to find out why i had not recieved a tracking number... o the amp is on backorder... so i give them a LIST of acceptable units to ship just adjust my charges... nothing still... found this website and now am kicking myself in the rear... if its not shipped by end of week ill request a refund... we will see how that goes...
ok so i asked for a refund on 6/16/10 and still have not received my money back 7/6/10. i have submitted complaints to the BBB in california and the FBI online fraud department. I also opened a dispute with my bank. this company still refuses to refund my money. I ordered an Alpine IDA X305 on 3/16/2010. In the middle of April, after a huge number of emails back and forth (there is no telephone customer service) and no product shipped, I thought maybe DCCA is having some bad luck with this particular product. On 4/23/2010, I paid more money to upgrade my order to a Pioneer AVH-P4200DVD because Simon told me over the phone (they do have a dispute line that someone might answer if you're extremely lucky) it would go out immediately. Well, now it's June. No product.
After countless emails back and forth (with many if not most responses from DCCA containing lies), and even a fake shipping label emailed to me on a product that never shipped, I asked for a refund. I still haven't seen a refund or a product shipped.

Still no refund despite being told that they issued it. They even sent me a "order cancelled" email as supposed proof of the refund.
I still have no money and no product. I can't shop at the stores that actually are reputable because of these scumbags.

After one more week I requested a refund and followed the refund procedure still no refund. After over 30 emails asking for my money back guess what happened? Nothing still no refund. "DCCA is without a doubt the worst online company I have ever heard of, let alone dealt with. If you want to disregard all of the warnings posted, and listen to the lame excuses presented by DCCA, go ahead. If you want your product in a timely manner, if you want a good product warranty (many audio/speaker companies will only warranty through an authorized dealer), if you want good service, and if you want a refund in a timely manner if necessary; DO NOT USE DCCA. It is not worth it to save a few bucks. I cancelled my order on April 21, and it is now June 14 with no refund; just a string of promises after promises. I had to get my Bank involved in order to try and get the money. The IRS should probably have a look at these guys, and try to figure out what they do with other peoples money for so long without returning it or providing any product. Hmmmm, should probably give the IRS a heads up since such deceitful and fraudulent behavior usually has deeper holes. The bottom line, find the next best price besides DCCA. File a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC); as well, submit them to the IRS as a potential pyramid scheme company that takes your money and keeps it for several months without any product or refund. I waited 2 weeks before emailing to ask for tracking; only then did I learn that the item was back ordered so I cancelled and asked for a refund. I purchased a kenwood deck kvt-614,and ipod adapter (shipping two to seven days) from Dealer Cost Car Audio which I have yet to receive and have officially canceled the order (after countless emails and lies) and have not been given a refund yet.It does not take 3-7 days
to issue a refund as they will say.
According to the research I have completed, almost every case is the same; place order, credit card charged immediately, item is on backorder or some other excuse, promises of item coming in and shipping in one to two business days, no shipping confirmation, no product and more lies that the product has not come in and will ship in one to two more business days.
I have disputed the charges with my credit card company whom were very interested in pursuing these scam artists after checking their ratings/reviews with the Better Business Bureau. My credit card company seemed happy to handle the situation after checking Dealer Cost Car Audio's business history and consumer reviews.I am now in the process of filing federal charges as well.
If anyone else has any problems with this company, do not wait, file a dispute with your credit card company immediately and report to
the BBB.

Dont believe this people when they say they have refunded your money(credit card).I have called my bank every day to check to see if they have even received a refund requestto reverse the charge for my card and evey day it's the the same answer....NO. They send you a E-mails saying we have refunded your money it's now out of our hands and up to the bank....NOT. So i will tell you and everyone by mouth, and all internet message boards i can find not to deal with this company.
I am still not done with Dealer Cost...Not until i get my money back.

"Where do I begin?? My husband wanted a new radio and speakers upon his arrival from Iraq. He made home at the end of December and only had an amplifier. He only received $500.00 of an order totalling about $2100.00. He was informe that due to the holiday's the rest of his order was on backorder. After not hearing anything for about a month, he contacted them. Of course you can't reach anyone on the phone, so he emailed them. Someone named Robert was emailing him saying, what do you want us to do. Um duh...send my merchandise. So he said give him a refund and they said it will ship in 1-2 days, so he said okay. 3 days passed and no merchandise. We then began emailing them for a refund, they kept saying someone would call and no one called. Finally got someone on the phone, and they said a manager would call in 30 minutes to cancel the order. Still no response so I began emailing them last night. All I am receiving back is short phrased emails which is ridiculous. It is almost time for my husband to go back to Iraq, and still no speakers or radio for his truck. I talked with someone named Simon today who said that he was working on the refund call back in a couple of hours. Called back and he said call back in another hour. Of course when I called back no answer, and now the phone's are busy. I do not understand why it is so hard to just give me my money back. I believe this may have to end in COURT!!! I do not recommend this company to anyone......you will end up with no merchandise and no refund for it!!

Waited a few days and checked on my order, UPS had only received the electronic information not the package. They blamed Kicker for the delay but said a few more days. I placed an order October 2009 and it was never shipped to me. I tried emailing them but all I got were "we're checking on it" and "we're looking for the tracking number" etc. Finally, after two months, I got fed up and requested that they call me. I talked to a manager who told me that he would cancel the order and I would be getting a refund. He also told me to email the department again to obtain a cancellation and refund receipt. Apparently, they don't know what that is because, six months later, I have yet to see any proof of the cancellation and the refund still has not been credited.
Many many many emails later and still nothing. They've ignored two requests for a phone conversation and keep telling me that they "are trying to see why" the refund did not go through. I have kept all email and phone records of my dealings with them and if I do not see a refund on this month's credit card statement, I will file a complaint with the IC3 and will get a lawyer involved.
Edit: Well, received an email from the company after posting this review. Told me that they would take care of this problem as soon as possible IF I remove this post. I told them that I would when I saw proof of the refund. Haven't seen the refund and they have stopped replying to my email. I guess it's time for me to contact some people...."
"**BUYER BEWARE!! DO NOT BUY FROM DEALER COST CAR AUDIO!!** *THIS "COMPANY" IS A SCAM!!
On April 28, 2010, I ordered a Kenwood KDC-MP342U head unit from these crooks, using my VISA card. The money was taken *INSTANTLY*. A week went by, I hear nothing from them. So, I email them, and they tell me that my order is "backordered from Kenwood." So, I called Kenwood, and of course they know nothing of this "backorder". Also worthy of note, is Kenwood told me they have had MANY COMPLAINTS about Dealer Cost Car Audio, and that DCCA is NOT an authorized seller of Kenwood products. This makes the warranty VOID, even though DCCA claims "three year warranty". Next, DCCA offers to send me the Kenwood KDC-MP345U, the newer 2010 model. I respond to DCCA that I do not want the newer model, and to please cancel my order.
After emailing them several times, they finally agreed to cancel my order. This was on May 5, 2010. I assumed that with the cancelation of my order would also come a refund. Nope. It is now June 10, 2010, and I still have not received a credit to my VISA card. I have emailed them numerous times. They respond with strange things, such as, "can we reinitiate refund?" and, "work with us directly," and, "Send it back through the systems again." They even sent to me an email confirming that my refund went through. So, I asked, why do I not see it on my credit card statement? They respond with, "Very odd. Let us know. We will have to reinitiate manually." What does that mean?! Credit card refunds are instant!! They tell me it takes "2-3 + business days to go back".
Once I realized that I had been ripped off by an internet FRAUD, I searched for websites that review companies, and found this one. Man, do I feel stupid for not doing a little research on an online vendor that does not use PayPal. I have learned my lesson! DCCA will also learn their lesson from this, as I have filed a complaint with the FBI, IC3 division. I have also filed a dispute with my credit card company, VISA, and they have promised to fight for me to get my money back.
**THIS is the WORST ONLINE SHOPPING EXPERIENCE OF MY ENTIRE LIFE. I have purchased numerous items from both Ebay and Amazon, and NEVER had ANYTHING like this happen. BEWARE Dealer Cost Car Audio will TAKE YOUR MONEY INSTANTLY, then play a cat and mouse game with you for weeks, so that they can hold onto your money for as long as they can, probably to get you to wait until your credit card dispute period has passed. DO NOT BUY FROM DCCA! THEY ARE THIEVES, CROOKS, FRAUD!!!

*UPDATE: Friday, June 11, 2010. Within THREE minutes of posting my review here, I received a call from DCCA. But I missed the call. It was a different number than the one I had been calling/the number they provide on their website. So I tried calling back three times, only to get the same old recording, "...we are receiving a high volume of calls blah blah please try back later or email us..." So, I check email. Sure enough, DCCA emailed me saying they tried to call me, and that my refund has been processed, providing a transaction number ID.
Next morning, I get another call from DCCA. I spoke to a young man (maybe 19 years old, or early 20s) named Simon. He was very nice to me on the phone. He even apologized. He promised me that my refund had been processed the day before. I then asked him why it took so long for them to process my refund, and why it took my filing a dispute with VISA? He says, "We had a problem with processing your refund." I told him that DCCA needs to get their act together, because people are filing complaints with the FBI. He told me that DCCA processes over 30,000 orders per month. He admitted that communication needs to improve. He then said that when the FBI calls him, he laughs at them, and tells them that the refund disputes have been settled. Well, that is just great! Thank you, FBI, for DOING NOTHING. My dad always told me, the Federal Government is WORTHLESS. HE WAS RIGHT.
It is now 8:40 AM, Friday, June 11, 2010. I just checked my online VISA statement. NO REFUND. I WILL GIVE TWO MORE DAYS. IF I STILL DO NOT HAVE THE CREDIT FOR $103.99, THEN I TAKE FURTHER LEGAL ACTION. IF, HOWEVER, I DO GET THE CREDIT, THEN I OWE SIMON AN APOLOGY. *I KNOW THAT SIMON AND NATHAN WILL READ THIS. Apparently, it does indeed take 2-3 days for credit card companies to process a refund. I apologize, publicly, just like I said I would. As someone mentioned earlier, it would seem that Simon is one of the few truly honest employees at DCCA.
I want so badly to completely remove my review, but what bothers me, is that it took nearly six weeks for me to get my money back. That happened only after writing a negative review here on Resellerratings.com. And if not for all of the brave souls who posted bad reviews and valuable information right here on this very website, I would not have known what to do; I would not have my money back right now. So, to anyone reading this, if you want your money back from DCCA, write a bad review, and they will call you within minutes to process your refund.
After weighing all of this further, I may edit or remove this review in the near future. I hereby retract my previous statement that DCCA is a "scam" and a "fraud". They did come through with my refund. "
