UPS returned the speakers to them. 5 months later-no refund. They promised a credit, tried to order with the credit but the items were never available. Cancelled the order. They promise everyday they are going to resolve this. 5+ months later still do not have my refund!!"
"This company isn't a company at all. They've never laid hands on a single product - they are a website, that's it. All they do is take a loan out on you while you figure it out, or worse. To be safe online - use a credit card people. You can get the chargeback, the bank comes after these people, and you have your money back right away. Also, cancel your cards afterwards.
This guy should be shut down soon enough.

Yes, he shipped a package out after I ran the chargeback. Note that UPS reports the package at a weight of 2 pounds. Go look up the shipping weight for a viper5901 alarm - amazon reports its 4 lbs, and I ordered 3 modules to go with it. It is not physically possible he put my full order in that shipment, he is just trying to cover his tracks. He is also now reporting I used a stolen credit card, also false. I canceled my credit card immediately after I ran the chargeback, he probably tried to charge it again unsuccessfully. I will continue to update as to whether the gentleman decides to commit any further fraud on the issue. Should he try pushing the stolen credit card issue I will be filing criminal charges of fraud."

"I will have to agree with everyone else on this site. They absolutely SUCK!! I placed my order on the 23rd of June and spoke with someone there to tell them the urgency of me getting the items as I had a boating trip planned for the following week and needed to do the install. I was told everything would ship that day. 2 days later I had not received my package or a tracking number. I emailed them asking what was going on. I was told the problem was being resolved. The next day I still had no tracking numbers. I called them up again and asked what was going on and that I needed the stuff now. Once again I was told over the phone that my items would ship that day and I would have a tracking number that night, nothing. Once again I called them after the weekend to see what was going on and to cancel my order. All I got was a message saying that due to high volume of calls they were only responding to email. I sent them a nasty email and told them to cancel my order. All of a sudden they replied and gave me a tracking number. I checked the tracking number on UPS.com and it said the package was shipped and that the weight was 6 lbs. I ordered two amps that weight about 10 lbs each a subwoofer that weighs atleast 12 lbs and a CD player. They are horrible to work with. I wouldn't let them give a stereo system. I switched over to woofersetc.com and they are awesome!!!!!!!! Prices are very close but GREAT service."
"I ordered online with no trouble. Price looked good, shipping seemed about right. After two weeks I had not received a shipping confirmation number. I e-mailed customer service and a reply came within a few hours, "Still waiting for a tracking # on this order. We apologize. This should be back and shipping within a few days or less. Please look out for it, and let us know when you receive it." After almost a month and several e-mails later, it turns out that they did not have the product in stock and the manufacturer was taking their time shipping it. I requested they cancel my order before 30 days was up (credit card charge back time limit). No date was ever given on when they might get the product or ship it. Very disappointed that this was not in stock, and that no delivery day was ever given."

I ordered four speakers and an amp totaling over $790 on May 26th and I still do not have a tracking number! I have emailed "Robert" seven different times inquiring about the order to where the responses are very short and do not help except buying them more time. Forget calling them...what a joke of a company lol
I found out what this company (and many others) does to operate by talking to a REAL Customer Service Rep from Crutchfield... ..they buy damaged items by the pound when other companies have damaged products during shipping from overseas. They get your order and hold your credit card captive until the defective pallets are sold to them that happen to contain the items you "ordered/requested". That is why many of these companies sell products with the serial numbers scratched off. The original companies (JL/Rockford Fosgate etc.) scratch the serial numbers off so you cannot maintain a warranty on these products because they are damaged to begin with. This is also why you will not get a tracking number-it's because they never have the items to begin with, they just wait for a faulty shipment to buy the items that just so happen to be the ones you wanted. Sometimes they also sell products with just the "shell" of a good name, but the interior of the item is not the same as the trusted name.

"Just like almost everyone else who wrote a review about this company, I had a terrible experience with them. They sent me an order confirmation with a tracking number and everything. Six days later UPS still did not have this order in their possession! When I emailed them they said it would update in 1-2 days when I told them it was supposed to arrive at my door in one day they emailed me back saying it could take 3-7 business days for the tracking number to scan/update! How could it update days after the package was supposed to be in my possession?! They told me the order went to their shipping department so according to their records it had been shipped. So I emailed them again asking them to check with the shipping department to see if the package had actually shipped. They emailed me back saying the package had shipped and was on it's way to me as we speak. I called UPS and they told me they did not have the package in their possession!! When I told dealer cost car audio this they said the product was on backorder in one of their warehouses! How could it be on it's way to me but on backorder in one of their warehouses at the same time? They charged my cc immediately of course! I emailed them letting them know to stop shipment cancel my order and refund my money immediately! They said they would try but couldn't guarantee because they gave me a tracking number already! I told them that if I didn't have the money back in my account in three days I was filling an affidavit of fraud with my bank as well as going to the local FBI office and reporting them to the BBB. Well I told them this today I haven't heard back from them yet so we will see. STAY FAR FAR FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY THEY ARE GARBAGE!! I ordered the same item from sonic electronix and they shipped it out the very same day! The tracking number they gave me for my order was real and UPS verifies they have the package in their possession and is on it's way to me with a delivery date!! Use sonic electronix they are awesome!!"

I ordered my product in march, didn't hear anything for 3 weeks which is when I emailed to ask what's up. Was told they were out of stock but will ship it in a week.
2 months after the original order I still have no tracking number, they marked my order as shipped then said they actually hadn't in an E-mail and they have also refused to give me a refund.

"Sadly, as many others have written these guys are a scam. I placed an order with them for a Sony marine head unit on 4/7/2009 and was pleased the next day when I got an email stating that my order had "shipped". The email even included a UPS tracking #, so surely that meant my order was on the way, right?
Wrong. These guys simply lied about the tracking # -- they never shipped anything and the UPS website never showed any update to the status other than "billing information received".
I stupidly waited a week to email the site and ask WTF was going on. To their credit, I did get a quick response saying, "Oh, gee, that unit is out of stock but we'll be getting more in just a few days." Six days later, and still nothing (now 12 days since I got the "shipped" confirmation email w/ tracking number).
I had read the other negative reviewed about Dealer Cost Car Audio before I placed my order, but I figured their price was low enough that it was worth taking a chance. Oops.
These guys are just classic scammers. Do they cheat every customer? Probably not, but they have needlessly delayed my new stereo project for nearly two weeks by sending me an email with a fake UPS tracking #, so now I'm back to square #1 and will have to take my business elsewhere.
Do yourself a favor -- don't be a sucker for the low price....folks like this will just waste your time, so don't make the same mistake I did."
"I have had nothing but headaches from this online store. I ordered a subwoofer amp for my car audio system and received it no problem within the normal shipping times. About 2 months later the amp shorted out and I sent it back to them for warranty replacement. I had moved to another state during this and notified them of the change of address. Well, they still sent the replacement amp to the old address, and would not send another to the correct address. The people at my old address (I know them very well) never received an amp at that address. I don't belive that this amp was ever shipped! This was last December 2008 and it is now APRIL 2009. I get nothing more than one or two word responses via email when I try to contact customer support. My overall experience has been very dissappointing with this merchang. I will never buy anything from this online store again. BUYER BEWARE. The replacement amp is supposed to arrive today (at the new address). I'm curious to see how long it lasts. I suspect that the merchandise is re-furb, although they claim that it is new. Hope this helps."
"I ordered a pair of Infinity 9623i's from Dealer Cost Audio on 3/3. Shipping notice arrived next night with a tracking number. Credit card billed on 3/5. On 3/6, UPS still only showed "Billing Info Received", but no pickup. Product never shipped. It's 3/12, and I had to call my CC company to get charges reversed. Once I notified them, I got an immediate cancellation and an email stating that they did this to beat my CC dispute. Unscrupulous!"
