"Dealer Cost Car Audio is a horrendous two man company. I placed an order on 9/9/09 and never received any type of tracking numbers and shipment data. More than two weeks have gone by and they kept giving me run-around over the phone and through e-mails telling me the items will be shipped by the end of the day. This happened 7 consecutive days. I have filed a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau and notified my credit car company. Never buy for them! Buyer beware!

Furthermore, when I would call I would be on hold for up to 15 minutes until someone would answer...only to be put on hold again after asking my question of "when are my items being shipped!" They would then put me on hold indefinitely never to pick the phone up again. They messed with the wrong lawyer. They should be put out of business! DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!

"Not taking enough time to read the negative reviews and BBB complaints, I placed an order with this company 10 days ago and was immediately charged for the product. A UPS tracking number was provided but remains with a “Billing Information Received” status, meaning the product has not actually shipped. I was assured the item was in stock and would ship by September 18th. 7 business days have now passed and according to their answering service, I may cancel my order. I sent an email requesting cancellation and full refund within 24 hours (as promised by their answering service). They have yet to respond. Unfortunately, they have 30 days to fulfill a refund request by law. From the looks of things, these are criminals functioning barely within the bounds of law. Should this indeed be the case; based solely on principal, I will take necessary legal action if necessary. "

"I ordered mechandise totaling over $500 on September 8. On Sept 11 I called, as my card had been charged, and I hadn't received any shipping info from them. they advised me a couple of items were not in stock, but would ship by September 14, at the latest. On September 18 I called again, as no shipping info had been received. At that time they said their suppliers were backedup, and didn't mention their first excuse. On September 18, I sent an email asking they remove the two items they had originally said weren't in stock. No response. If they haven't ashipped my order by Monday, September 21 I will cancel order. Sad display of customer service. At no time have they attempted to update my order with any info. Buy at your own risk seems appropriate, if you need your equipment in a timely manner. "

"Please do not do business with these scum bags! I ordered a sub and an amp from them for $410 on 8/10 then just like all of the other reviews that I have now read I went round and round trying to get my order shipped and finally cancelled it on 8/26. Its now 9/13 and I still have not received my refund. When I talk to Dealer cost car audio (by email because its way to hard to try and get them on the phone) they say they have sent the refund back to me. I have not received anything from them other than a hard time. Now i have had to file a dispute with my credit card company. So who knows how long it will take to get my money back if i get it back. Dealer cost car audio has great prices but I guess you can sell cheap when you don't really send anything to the customer!"

"Buyer beware!

If all the items you purchase are in stock, then you might not have any problems.....BUT!!!!! If anything you purchase isn't in stock....GOOD LUCK!

I was told multiple times that everything was instock....they weren't.

I was told multiple times that everything that I ordered had been shipped....eventhough 3 items were on back order!

Was lied to MANY times.....either because they are liers.....or because they just didn't care enough to actually check on anything before they responded.

They boast about responding to all questions withing a few hours....this is true....but if the response is total BullSh@!% Whats the point?

After approximately 1.5 months of waiting for the remainder of my order....the guy upgraded a sound dampening kit that I ordered(only because he still didn't have what I wanted in stock) TOO LITTLE TOO LATE!

I will never even consider doing business with these folks again!

"I wish I would have read the reviews here before ordering from these people. I ordered 2 JL rca cables a month ago. My CC was charged within min of course. After nothing for the first 2 weeks. They said they had a slight delay on the JL wires. Well after waiting 2 more weeks I finally sent a email saying to cancel my order. But what do you know. They magically got the item that day and shipped it out instead of cancelling my order. I have a tracking # and it will be next week b4 my wires arrive. Didnt help since I needed the wires 2 weeks ago for a competition. If you can wait a month if not possibly more. Than go ahead and use these people. But if I were you. I'd order from somewhere else. I already ordered the same exact wires from another company and got my stuff within a week and half. I'll NEVER use these people again. Thank god I didnt order anything expensive after reading these reviews."

"I cannot recommend that anyone purchase from DCCA. My customer experience was poor. They did not provide accurate information to me about product availability and really made no effort to help me. I had to constantly probe them about when the product would ship and never got a clear answer. Ultimately after more than 30 days, I canceled the order and did get a prompt refund, however.

"This company is nothing but 2 guys ripping people off!!! "Nader" is the phone man and "Robert" is the so called manager. They sent me a defective amp and they refuse to warranty it. My order took 3 months to get and just like others have written, I got the run around for than entire time. Now they just make excuses and lies and can't keep up with what they are lying about. They rent a mailbox at a strip plaza and work from home. DO NOT TRUST THEM AT ALL!!!!!!!!!! "

"I ordered an amp, head unit and speakers from Dealer Cost Car Audio. All the items were listed as "in stock". My credit card was charged right away and I was given a UPS tracking number the next day. 1 week went by and no shippment, UPS said the tracking # was invalid. I sent an email to dealer cost and they said everything was on the way. A few days later I only received the amp. 3 weeks went by and no shipments. The sales staff was polite but never delivered. The refund was a hassle but i eventually got it, had to remind them to also refund the tax which was then sent promptly. Use this company only if you can wait a couple of months for your products. Other than that you get the service you pay for. "

"DCCA charged my credit card for 3 things I ordered (12" sub, box, and capacitor), and shipped me 3 items I did not order (different model/brand/size/shape/color) - even after I e-mailed and they confirmed all items ordered were in stock. I received a partial refund on one item. The speaker box I received was used and damaged. Robert sent me another, but it was the wrong size. Full refund received for the speaker box. It took a month to receive my initial order. I received a tracking number over a week before the order actually shipped. Frustrating to deal with, poor communication, awful order filling, but willing to work with you if you have the time and patience. I am a very patient person and I lost my patience. Robert refunded me enough to make it feel like I did not waste my money at DCCA."

"Order placed online on 07/05/09. My credit card was processed for the entire amount. After not receiving any shipment confirmation email, I contacted the company. I received a reply to my email stating the order would be shipped by the end of the week. This went on for 4 weeks. I never received any emails from DCCA, only untimely replies to my emails. Each one with the same update, the order would be shipped by the end of the week. I finally spoke with "Nader." He said he was within management. He assured me the order would be be shipped by the end of the week. That never happened. Finally on 08/12/09 I cancelled the order. I got tired of waiting for their false promises. In the confirmation email I received from DCCA, it stated the refund would be processed within 7-14 days. It's over 14 days, and I've received no refund. I emailed DCCA on 08/26/09 to get the date they processed the refund. They avoided giving me a date. All they wrote was it was completed. Their customer service is terrible, and their communcation with customers is worse. They deserve to not be in business. Don't buy from them. If you've torn your car apart and are waiting on their shipment, you're going to be upset. Don't make the mistake I did!
09/23/09 - I'VE BEEN REQUESTED BY DEALER COST CAR AUDIO TO UPDATE THIS REVIEW. AFTER FILING A BBB COMPLAINT, DCCA RESPONDED TO THE BBB THAT THE REFUND HAD BEEN PROCESSED. I RESPONDED TO BBB STATING THAT AS OF THE DATE OF THIS WRITING (09/02/09) NO CREDIT HAD BEEN APPLIED TO MY CARD. DCCA RESPONDED WITH A STATEMENT THEY CONTACTED MY BANK AND CONFIRMED A CREDIT HAD BEEN APPLIED. I FIND IT HARD TO BELIEVE THEY CONTACTED MY BANK. I DID FINALLY RECEIVE A CREDIT ON MY CHARGE CARD ON 09/03/09.
IN ALL THE EMAILS, THEY DISPLAYED NO SENSE OF GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE. IN READING THE OTHER COMPLAINTS FOR THIS WEB SITE, I READ THE SAME STORY OVER AND OVER. THEY HAVE PRODUCTS AVAILABLE FOR SALE ON THEIR WEB SITE, THEY DO NOT HAVE THEM IN STOCK, THEY TAKE YOUR MONEY, AND THEN MAKE PROMISES OF DELIVERY THEY CANNOT KEEP. BEFORE WRITING THIS COMMENT, I CONFIRMED THAT THE PRODUCT I ORDERED IS STILL LISTED ON THEIR WEB SITE. I DOUBT THEY HAVE IT IN STOCK.

"As of August 24th we still have not received our order and we placed it online July 30th. We too received a response from "Robert" after we emailed the first time and the other email we sent has gone unanswered. We believe this company is a scam. After waiting 35 minutes on the phone the first time we finally made verbal contact and were told our order for over $300 was still in the warehouse (at this point two weeks had passed) but they would ship each piece (a total of 3)separately- one Thursday, then Friday, then Monday. We got the first piece but the other two never showed so I called again. This time I only waited 10 minutes but the man said the other pieces couldn't be sent yet because the distributor was behind but he would get them to us the following week. Now were they in the warehouse or not to begin with? Well anyway guess what...we're still waiting and today when we called twice we never spoke to anyone. The voice message said it was a 30 minute wait and we called later only to be disconnected twice. Had we read the reviews first we NEVER would have ordered from these people. Now we want our money back for the merchandise we haven't received and if we get it we assure everyone out there that we'll NEVER order from this company again. In this case cheap prices are too good to be true and not worth the hassle or worth dealing with a dishonest business.

EDIT: Since writing this email we decided to cancel the remainder of our order and requested a refund for the balance we had sent. We were told it wouldn't be a problem and it should post in 3-4 days. On business day 5 I checked our bank account and sure enough the money was there. It was easier to receive our refund than our merchandise. We were pleasantly surprised and pleased. Although we won't try to order again we are grateful to get our money back and hope others will be able to do the same.

"READ THIS CAREFULLLY HONEST REVIEW. DCCA is a legit company however there are a few problems with them. 1. They are extremely difficult to get ahold of on the phone 2. You better email ahead of time to make sure item is not on back order or it will be a while untill you receive your item. This is a legit company but there is plenty of room for improvement. There are plenty of stores online, untill I find out that this store has improved its customer service I will be shopping elsewhere. When I posted a negative review here I received a phone call within 10 minutes, they offered to do whatever it took to keep me happy, I requested a refund and they complied."
