"Seller canceled my order because they had a coupon malfunction. Seems their site programmers are idiots. Price was not too good to be true as KMart currently has same deal only I have to pay tax. Shopped their before and had iffy exp. But this time I am done with them. They need to hire people that know how to do their job rather than waste people's time and put holds on funds on people's credit cards."

"Ordered a few DVD box sets with one of the 20% off holiday promo codes. Based on previous comments, I decided against the free shipping and went with the 9.95 2nd day.

They e-mailed me a tracking number... but it didn't work. I waited a day and then e-mailed them asking them to provide a working one. Got automated Incident response. Package arrived the next day. Still haven't heard anything back from them (obviously, I didn't need the tracking number anymore, but still...) Checked the number against what they sent me and two digits were off by one.

Don't really know what to say about this. This order was fine, but I still feel a bit disappointed.

Edited: Oops, I noticed that they in fact did e-mail me shortly after I e-mailed them. The e-mail did not provide the tracking number and just asked me to wait and if I didn't get the package by next day, they would resend. Again, odd, since I addressed the message with "Invalid UPS tracking number". Either way, I got the package, so this point was eventually moot, but a valid tracking number would be nice.

"I purchased a PS3 and they didn't honor a coupon in their system. I also signed up for the 10 dollars off when I checked out. However, they do charge over time which is a bait and switch in my opinion. They cancel my order. I would stay away from this company as far as possible."

"This was my first order with DeepDiscount and MAN what a disappointment. I ordered early Friday morning and paid 10 bucks extra for 2 day shipping. As of Tuesday, they had not shipped either of my items and now one of the items is showing as BACKORDERED, even though it showed as "In Stock" when I placed the order.

Monday afternoon, I called to try to cancel the whole order and was told they couldn't cancel it as the order was "on the truck" to ship. ...It didn't ship. I called back Tuesday and got the same "its already on the truck" reason that the item couldn't be cancelled.

I said "I haven't got a tracking number and the item doesn't show as shipped, so WHAT truck is it on?"

The operator gave some vague description of how they put the items on a truck to go to the shipper and that it would ship today.

"So this order truck just kind of sits around the lot for a couple days until someone decides to actually ship merchandise?", I asked.

"Sometimes it can sit on the truck for a while, yes", the "customer service" rep said.

So apparently, if you place an order with DDD, they'll ship it whenever they feel like it, regardless of whether you pay extra for expedited shipping. And they'll refuse to cancel your order if you call.

This is my first and last order with DeepDiscount.

"I only ordered books from Deepdiscount.com that were supposed to be in stock. After the order processed I found out that one of them was NOT in stock. I also upgraded the shipping so that I would have a tracking number because items were being donated/shipped to a school. I did NOT receive a tracking number and I don't know if the school received the books. Caveat emptor: buyer BEWARE!"

"I have ordered DVDs from Deep Discount several times now and always been extremely pleased with the prices and level of service. Their prices are EXCELLENT, and much lower than any other major DVD retailer I have shopped with, frequently up to 50% lower than the already low prices on Amazon.com.

I have occasionally had to wait quite some time for backordered DVDs, but I have always gotten my products as described.

Deep Discount has the lowest prices I have found for anime and imported British television shows. I recently purchased the box set of "Jeeves & Wooster" (which retails for $79.99 at Borders) for $35. They also have the lowest prices I have seen for the remastered Miyazaki DVDs that Disney recently released, including "Princess Mononoko", "My Neighbor Totoro", "Spirited Away", "The Cat Returns", "Porco Rosso", and more!

"DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM DEEP DISCOUNT

I ordered two DVDs on line on May 2, 2007. I received an order confirmation that reflected an erroneous shipping address.

I immediately wrote to them clarifying what the correct shipping address should be. They wrote back assuring me that they would use the correct shipping address.

Original delivery esimate was 5-10 business days. Ten business days passed - no DVDs. They told me to wait another five business days.

Fifteen business days after the order - no DVDs.

I called them and learned they had used the incomplete shipping address in spite of the prior e-mail exchhange where they said they would use the correct shipping address.

Communication with these people was poor and they obviously cannot handle a simple matter like coordinating the correct shipping address, even though I spoon-fed the address to them!

I asked for the DVDs free of charge because of their mistake and the considerable inconvenience this caused me in the many e-mails I sent plus telephone contact - and they refused.

DO NOT BUY FROM DEEP DISCOUNT - THE WORST EXPERIENCE YET!

"I have ordered more than 100 movies and CDs from deepdiscount. The last item I received was a gift from a friend for xmas. The DVD wouldn't play so we requested a return mailing label. First I was told no I couldn't return it because it was over 90 days, purchased in Oct and returned after xmas. On the phone I was told, of course I could return defected merchandise. I received the mailing label and returned the item. No replacement came. After numerous phone calls I finally got a staff person that took all my info to reship a replacement. I still have not received. I will never buy from them again. Buyer Beware!"

"I have honestly ordered hundreds of dvds from Deep Discount DVD over the past few years, mostly DVD box sets and I have never had a problem to date. My orders have always been received within 6-8 days and I am very pleased! There has only been one item that I ordered from Deep Discount that said in-stock and it wasn't in-stock and I had to wait a few extra days but it was a book that I ordered from them and not a very popular one at that. All of my other items have been received quickly and is excellent condition. The main reason that I shop Deep Discount DVD is because of there GREAT prices and they are honest also, plus the free shipping isn't bad either. They always email you with delivery confirmation and order confirmation and there site is easy to navigate through. They do have a toll free number so if you can't reach them through the email I recommend using the telephone at there customer service. I have called them before to order DVD's also when my computer was not working and have also called them to receive a price match that I have ordered online and than soon after the price has went down. This company comes highly recommended! "

"It seems to be a common complaint with this company that orders are mysteriously lost in the mail. Is the USPS really that bad? Either they don't ship orders or somebody is stealing their shipments. They give you a tracking number that the USPS doesn't even recognize, so I'm not sure what value that is. I only ordered a $29 video game so it's not a huge deal, but still frustrating nonetheless. I won't be buying from them again. Apparently with their free shipping, you get what you pay for.

** Update **
I finally received my order! Ordered April 6, received April 30! They supposedly shipped it on April 11th from Illinois and it had to go one freaking state away to Missouri. I guess the USPS does suck! A pack of mules could of easily delivered faster!

"I ordered 3 Blu-Rays through this site with overnight shipping, 2 came the next day as stated and one is backordered. The one item is still backordered, but I dont mind waiting, because it is backordered throughout the web so I'm not going to get it any quicker through another source. Their prices are alot lower than most and this allowed me to get the overnight shipping for less than it would have cost me to buy the items with regular delivery at other stores. I would definately do business with this store again."

"I have made 20 orders with DDD over the last 2 years. I've never had even a late package, and I also order a lot of preorders. They all come within a week of the release date. I know how frustrating it is to not get a package, but it's not always the company's fault. 9 times out of ten, it's usually a post office problem. I use their Free shipping optionevery time as well. It takes about 10 days to get my items, but combining that savings with the other savings, and it always gets better"

"I ordered some DVDs that were on sale, but within ten minutes after the purchase I check on eBay and found them for cheaper and ordered them also. It was a stupid mistake, of course, but I didn't think it was a big deal so I immediately emailed DDDVD asking to cancel the order, since there's no where to do it online. However, I got an email the next day saying they couldn't cancel it, which seemed awfully stupid to me. So immediately after I received it, I sent it back and did eventually get my money back.

Although I did not have the best experience with DDDVD with my last order, all of my previous orders have gone through without a hitch. Therefore, I still recommend this store as it has great prices.
