"I am a little ambivalent about this company. When my order finally arrived it was perfect. However it took a long time to get here (but I have to allow for all the holidays and the USPS), however I never received an order confirmation or response to my email requesting status of the order.
I easily got through via phone and the service rep was extremely nice and very helpful. So I would probably order from them again, but just expect that it will take a while to receive shipment."
"I have purchased from DeepDiscountDVD several times, but I never will again. They used to be a great company to deal with; their prices are lower than nearly every other DVD reseller on the web, and standard shipping packages would arrive in just a few days.
However, my last three orders have been nitemares. One order was "lost in the mail" (I don't think they ever sent it). They were nice enough to send another copy to me, but it didn't arrive until nearly a month after my order date and after the hassle of several e-mails. Another order was shipped to the wrong address. I ended up cancelling the order out of frustration.
The last one was the worst. I placed my order, ensured that the correct address was entered and they still had the wrong address when I received my invoice. I sent them an e-mail explaining their error & they sent me back a message saying that it had been corrected and the order would be shipped to the correct address.
I waited three weeks. No DVD. I contacted DeepDiscount and they said that orders could take anywhere from 15-20 business days to arrive. Far longer than any other time I'd ordered from them, but fine.
Over a month goes by. I contact customer support again. Apparently the DVD had been returned back to them BEFORE MY INITIAL CORRESPONDENCE as "undeliverable". Funny, I get dozens of packages delivered each other from USPS, FedEx, UPS, etc. and have never had this issue. My guess is they sent it to the wrong address they had on file despite my making them aware of the error twice.
Never again; I'll spend the few extra bucks & order from Amazon from now on. "
"I’m very unhappy with Deep Discount's customer service. Missing items from parcels - no reply to emails. Missing order - some replies, but most made no sense or referred to some other issue or missing item from another order. Have tried many times to have them assign me someone I can deal with directly, to date - nothing. The last two times I have written about missing items (short shipped) from parcels they didn't even bother to reply. (Not even their automated response) I would have thought I was a very very good customer but feel like I'm treated like a lowly second-class citizen. They say you can tell alot about a company by the way they treat their customers, if that's the case things don't look good for Deep Discounts future. It’s a shame too they had been good in the past. Maybe the upper management needs to have close look at the Customer Service Department.

"At first they didn' t seem to be on the level with their 20% discount code you enter at checkout -- there was no where to enter the code and I looked carefully. So I continued checking out, one page after another, thinking the code box would appear when I found myself all checked out without the discount. They eventually got back to me via email, apologized for the inconvenience and will credit my card. They're legit and I'm happy now."
"I order from DDD often, usually when they have great deals like Buy 1 Get 1 Free. Never had a messed up order, double charge, or any of that kind of thing, and their pricing, sales, and free shipping keep me coming back.
The only problem I've ever had is that they're willing to sell DVDs they don't have in stock. They get them in quickly, and ship partial orders under free shipping (which is slow, but acceptable since it's free) so a single order may arrive in several boxes over the course of a week or two. This isn't a problem at all for me, but some people might want a specific move right away, so it may be a consideration for some."

Prices can not be beat, very happy with Deepdiscountdvd. Most of the DVDs I get are older ones so I always stick with free shipping. I usually receive the confirming email within a few minutes of placing the order. Have been doing business with them for almost 3 years and have never had any problems.
Some people have complained about the slowness of their free shipping; realize that media mail is just about at the bottom of the postal services priority list for mailing stuff. If you are in a hurry for a DVD do not use the free shipping option.

The prices are almost always the lowest on the internet, not counting occasional special sales from stores (Best Buy, Circuit City, etc...sales for Four Dollars, etc).

The website and automated communication is excellent. Accurate information regarding Out Of Stock products and expected shipping date for them. Emails confirming the order and each time a product ships.

"I have initially bought two dvds from the DDD. The package has arrived promptly and reasonably well packed. One of the DVD was sort of defective - it was an old glued DVD-10 and thus did not fit into any of my DVD players or into DVD-Rom on a computer. Upon contacting DDD they have issued a RA quickly and even sent me a shipping label to send the DVD back. They refunded the full price of the DVD within about a week after I sent it to them. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by very good customer service and would definitely buy from this company again."
"Found their site using Pricegrabber as DVD I was looking for is hard to find. Like their prices and the free shipping option so went with them. Process time went fast and order status changes to shipped on 07/06/06 (3days..not bad at all). Sad part is that as of today 7/21/06, I still have not received the DVD. I have so far called this company twice. I called them last week to find out what is going on, and they said it could take up until the 19th to deliver, so call back after that. So I wait and still nothing so called them again today. All they said was that it should have arrived no later than the 19th. Great..so what does that mean then? So I ask them..what now?...refund, resend? They tell me to wait another 4 days and if it has not arrived then to call back again. Starting to think they are a a 2-bit company. Why state that it should arrive no later then 19th, and still make me wait another 4 days before I can get my refund or get them to send out another copy. I knew I should have stuck with a more reputable trusted company when ordering my DVDS. I very much doubt I will ever use this Company again. " I made my first purchase from DeepDiscountDVD on 4/19/06. The order was for ten DVDs with free media mail shipping. I want to preface this by saying that I understood going into this that media mail shipping was slow, so I had no expectation of speedy shipping.
The order was sent in two shipments, the first shipment containing 7 DVDs shipped on 4/21/06, and the second shipment containing 3 DVDs shipped 4/26/06. I received the second shipment on 5/3/06. This caused some concern as I still hadn’t received my first shipment, but I waited the 10 business days DeepDiscountDVD had stated for delivery before contacting them.
I then contacted them by email and explained the situation. They responded to the email within one business day and told me allow 15 business days from the date shipped and if I still had not received the order to recontact them. I waited another week and still no sign of the package so I again emailed them and they again responded within one business day. They told me they would reship the order. They issued a credit for the lost shipment and charged for the reshipped DVDs. They also ask me to refuse shipment on the original package if it ever arrives (I talked to my postman and from that discussion it sounds like anything is possible, he once delivered a package that had gone missing for 3 months)
The reshipped DVDs were sent on 5/17/06 and I received them on 5/24/06. So despite what other reviewers have stated I found that their customer service was prompt and professional in response to my lost package.

"I checked dvdpricesearch.com for the best price and DDD had the field beaten by at least 2 dollars so I ordered. Shipping's a mite slow (about 10 days) but allowing for distance and considering it's free and untaxed I'm more than satisfied.
The dvd came in pristine condition in an box additionally."
