"Wowza! Excellent service! I was a little worried after reading some of the reviews here, but with the great prices I couldn't resist ordering from DDD. I ordered 3 items--including a big boxed collector's set--very late on Sunday, December 18th and chose to upgrade my shipping slightly (up one level from "free" to expedited "2-5 day UPS" for a flat fee of $5.95) and they arrived well-packed and in PERFECT condition by Tuesday afternoon, December 20th. Tuesday! That's one day of processing/travel time!

Needless to say, I highly recommend Deep Discount DVD and will be ordering from them a lot more in the future. In fact, with the prices on their discs (beating most places by several dollars per DVD) and their free shipping offer (which is a good deal if you aren't in a time crunch to get your movies), they'll be the first place I look to for all my future purchases as well as the first place I recommend to friends.

"Lets see i place an order Nov 1st 05 for an item. I receive my item about 3 weeks later, which is imo the worst shipping i have ever seen for media. I open up the package and a hole goes through the front dvd case, through the dvd and through the back of the dvd case. My reaction is not very pleasing. After receiving a mail ticket to send back, i wait another 3 weeks to receive what is... the incorrect item. At this very moment i would like to say, im ticked. I just can't believe whats going on. If it were easy enough to ship the item again, yet to wait 3-4 weeks just to get what might be the incorrect or a DOA item is just not very pleasing. I would like to say this has been one of my most displeasing transaction as of today. I have sent an email requesting my money or a replacement back shipped to me speedy, which i doubt they will before getting their grubs on the merchandise they improperly sent. So the only thing i could do is pour my hatred into this rating. I will never buy anything from them again is quite obvious, but what im wishing for is my damn dvd or money. Its not a very big request, its just what i deserve. "

"Read the reviews before ordering and noticed some people had delays on their DVDs, but these guys were fast. Ordered on the 9th of Dec., which is a Friday with 2 - 5 day delivery and they were at my door on 14th. Can't say enough since their prices were identical after shipping costs to that of half.com, which appears to be different resellers grouped together. That makes me nervouse so I went with DDD instead and am happy I did."

"In all my years of ordering merchandise online I have never had this bad of an experience and poor customer service with an online store before. Absolutely horrible experience.

Ordered a CD (VA - Jazz Lounge)that showed up on their web site as being in-stock. A day later I get an email saying that it's back ordered. So I call to cancel the order (I was getting this as a Christmas gift) and am told by an extremely rude cs rep that it cannot be done until the next day. I call again the next day and am told by another rep that it will be done later in the day. Another day goes by (item's still back ordered) and this time I'm told by another rude service rep (hmm... seems to be a pattern) that it's too late and nothing can be done about it (this rep actually hung up on me when I asked her about the website still showing this item as being in stock). My order info page on their website shows that the CD will not be in for another 6 days. So much for the "satisfaction guaranteed logo" on their website!

This was my first and will be my last time shopping from deepdiscountcd.com. At this point I'm just going to call the credit card company and dispute any charges that show up from this vendor.

"I ordered the third season of CSI using a 20% discount, and everything worked smoothly. This was my first time ordering from DeepDiscountDVD, and I'll probably come back again. I read some reviews of this site before ordering, so I had the expectation that the shipping time would be slow, and it was. A little over 2 weeks after ordering it I received my DVDs, which were in perfect shape. If you aren't in a hurry to get something, and you want a good deal on it, check out this site."

"I have ordered from DDD many times in the past, and it had always been very quick and pleasant. However, my last experience was absolutely awful.

On November 6th, I ordered three DVD box sets: Seasons 2 and 3 of The West Wing, and the series Profit. Season 3 of the West Wing came with two copies of disc 1, and no disc 2. I called DDD, explained the problem. They emailed me an RMA slip, and said they'd send me a replacement 5 - 10 after they received the package. I put the package in the mail that afternoon.

On November 28th, I called them, as I had not yet received my replacement. I talked to a man named Jason, who told me that he had no idea why it hadn't shipped out yet, but that they had received my package, and he would see that it got shipped out. He said it would be at my door within 5 - 10 days.

On December 4th, I emailed them asking for status. No reply, beyond a canned, "thank you for emailing," response. They claim to respond to email within a day.

On December 6th, I called back again. I talked to a man named Albert, who told me that my original package had not yet been received, despite Jason already telling me that it HAD been received.

Let's review:
Nov. 6th - ordered product
Nov. 9th - sent product back
Nov. 28th - called, said package was received, would ship
Dec. 4th - emailed, no response.
Dec. 6th - called, said original package NEVER receieved, and can't ship out replacement.

So, now I'm out $40. Their customer service is absolutely horrible, as apparently is their warehouse system. I don't plan on shopping there again. Great prices, horrible service.

"Stay away from companies like these. Very very very disappointed about their delivery commitments and customer Services. When I placed a web order for 3 DVD's it never said they were on back order. I was hoping to get 3 weeks (even though the email confirmaion said it will take 5-10 business days). Even after 3 weeks they did not come. I got one dvd eventually. I have not got the remaining two DVD's yet. atleast 5 times I called them so far. Each time they would say it will be dispatched today. But as on date (nearly a month and half after placing the order) the DVDs did not arrive. Very Very Very poor delivery committment and customer service. Sometimes they have even said whether I would like to cancel the order. Could not get an idea why would they say that. My best advise would be to stay away from vendors like this. Atleast you can be little peaceful and keep your cool. I will NEVER ever buy another DVD from them as long as I live on this earth."

"These guys are TERRIBLE. I placed my order on the 11th of November, the first day of their big 20% off sale. Days later, I still had no confirmation from them that my order had shipped, so I went to their order status page, and found out that 3 of my items had not shipped, and one was backordered. Even though all 4 items said INSTOCK when I placed my order, the last item went backordered a few days later. After repeated emails to their lousy customer service department, they finally shipped out the first 3 items 10 DAYS after I had originally placed my order. It is now december 1st, and I still have not recieved even the first 3 disks. I have no way of tracking the package because they will not give you a tracking number for your package if you selected free shipping. The fourth disk just shipped out a few days ago, so I shouldn't be expecting that one for more than a week. Simply put, DO NOT ORDER FROM DDD! Chances are, you can find the same thing cheaper somewhere else, and elsewhere you will get competant customer service, with shipping that does NOT take over 20 days. Stay away!"

"Purchased a DVD boxset from Deep Discount during one of their 20% off sales. The boxset was listed as out of stock when I ordered. They had the product back in stock and shipped it out to me in 5 days. I used their free shipping so it took a little longer to arrive but I was in no rush. All in all it was a good experience, fantastic price ($187 on Amazon, $157/shipped from Deep Discount), quick product restock and ship and good e-mail communication."

"DeepDiscountDVD.com usually has the lowest prices for DVD's. However, their customer service suffers. It takes way too long for orders to be processed and shipped. For my most recent order, it took 6 days before the order was fulfilled and sent for shipping. All DVD's were in stock and I got no notification, or status update. I emailed their customer service and all I got was a canned response that only gave the same as their website of the order being "IN-PROCESS". This is unacceptable in today's society.
I called on the 6th day and was told that my order was delayed due to heavy holiday volume. Had they bothered to update the status of my order saying this and given an expected ship date, then all would have been fine.
I do not think that is too much to ask.

"I placed an order for 7 DVDs for only $41.00 on 11/6/05 and received them all in excellent condition on 11/10/05. I had no problem finding what I wanted and checkout was easy. Their selection is very good and even some of the older movies I couldn't find elsewhere I found here. Their prices are equal to or lower than local stores as well as stores on-line and there is never a shipping & handling charge.One flaw showed up on my invoice. If I had received a defective DVD I would have had to pay to return it to them. Their returns label was not prepaid. But unless I find I'm getting too many defective movies that minor flaw won't stop me from ordering from them again. It's nice to find a store that doesn't drain my wallet, then slap a hefty shipping charge on top of it. I didn't need customer service so I can't say what that department would be like but if I ever do I'll be sure to rate my experience. YES. I will be recommending this store to others! "
