"I first ordered a Viewsonic 19" monitor back in Sep 02, got a "Damaged on Arrival" returned it but only got a refund of $40.52! I paid $253 for the thing. Called back and forth and it's been two weeks and I'm still waiting for the rest of the refund.

Also, I ordered another Samsung monitor right after I return the Viewsonic (10/24/02). It's been three weeks and I'm still monitorless. I was told several times that the Samsung will be shipped on or before 11/15/02 and today is 11/16/02, guess what, it is still backordered. I went on their website, it said "available, ship in 1-2 weeks". Hello, I've waiting for three weeks and still waiting.

This is my first time dealing with Dell and definitely the last time. Super lousy customer service.

"I would not wait or put up with Dells inability to provide adequate customer service. I ordered one of these Sony DRU500A's on 10-4 and I have yet to see it. The ship date kept moving back and finally it was changed to "delayed" . What does this mean you ask?? It means they will ship it when ever it is convenient for Dell, not its customers. I'm not hard to please but when I order something I expect it to arrive in a timely manner. "

"Ordered a US Robotics Modem and Network card, on the 15th. I paid for cheepest shipping as I wasn't in a hurry, a big surprise when I received products on the 17th. only 2 days.

The order was packaged very well, and all parts arrived in great condition.

I have numerous purchases from Dell in the past 4 Years, from complete computers (3 systems) to upgrade parts. Every purchase has been great, and arrived in good condition. They've always backed up their products. Have been and will defiently continue to be a customer. They have my recommendations.

"I am definately satisfied with Dell. It's a quality product, at a reasonable price. I ordered my computer on a Monday and recieved it on Tuesday the following week. Customer service can be a chore to deal with, but in my experience that is the problem with any large company. I would definately purchase another Dell."

Wanted to inject a little positive feedback. Ordered an XPS on 11/6, shipped 11/8, and received 11/12. Had to call XPS tech support last night as I was having a little trouble finding the power connection to install my retail ATi 9800 Pro. Called at 8:45pm EST and the call went straight through with no wait. The tech was very helpful, english speaking and actually walked me through uninstalling the Dell installed FX5200 to install my non-Dell ATi card. Was very impressed with the professionalism exhibited. Thanks again. Oh and the system screams.

"Purchased the system on the 9th with the preferred account. By the 18th I got worried because the order said cancelled. Apparently there was a mix-up so they put the order thru again with the same promotion...thank god. I was a little upset because the order said it would now take until early november. To make a long story short the order arrived 5 days later on the 23rd...about 2 weeks earlier than promised.
What I learned is that you need to watch your order closely. But once they get it right it goes thru fast. Do not get anything better than the basic shipping as it will get there within a week. The computer works fine and online tech support gets back to you in a day...although they usually route you to an online page. This is my second Dell and I did not have anything fatal happen with that one for 4 years so I have high hopes for this one. If you are purchasing just wait for the deal you want before ordering...they change every week. I ordered during the free shipping but god knows how long I will wait for my rebate.

"A Latitude C810 was ordered online, but, when it arrived it was missing the CDRW. I was told I had to deal with the saleman who took the order and since I placed the order online there would not be a saleman to contact. It took a couple of months & alot of wasted hours being switched betw customer care and tech support to get this issue resolved. If I hadn't perservered nothing would ever had been resolved. I cannot recommend Dell to anyone."

"I received several coupons issued by Dell for me through e-mail and opening Preferred account. However, all those coupons are quite bogus. The coupons stated that it may be combined with other promo and coupons but when I tried to make purchase, it didn't go through. Called customer care and explained the issue and they transferred me back and forth for more than 5 times and still can't give me straight answer. I think they should call themselves "customer transfer" department instead of customer care. They couldn't care less. The product sent to my home with wrong pricing and now I'm waiting to return it and have to pay for the shipping cost. How great is this?
Prior to this experience, I tried to purchase a laptop online. Placed the order, waited for 2 weeks, got an email from Jennifer Roman to confirm my order, said yes (confirmed), waited for 2 more weeks, the computer never arrived, contacted dell through emails to see if they still want the business and guess what happened? No one replied back to me! Waited a month to purchase a laptop and no one responded to me at all. Michael Dell, if you read this, go around your company and see if they are really working for you. I would be ashamed to use my name and get a very bad reputation constantly at resellerratings.com. And don't use the name customer care, change it to customer "contact and transfer" department.

"I ordered a Planar pl201m 20 inch lcd Black and when I looked on Dell's website the next day they had a white one on order so I called and had to cancell the order and reorder the black one again, that part isn't so bad but when they said it would be thirty days before my credit card would be credited for the white one that I cancelled that's way to much to stand now I have a credit card bill for about $2500 which I only owe $1250, I don't know about you but I don't like loaning muti billon dollar companys $1250 for a month interest free, I have a Dell computer that I got a couple of years ago but never again. DON'T BUY FROM DELL......"
