"I tried to buy from Dell using a gift card and they cancelled the order as suspicious but never refunded the card. Something that should have been handled automatically couldn't even be done by this "tech" company. Their customer support people were completely useless. I never got my money back."

"I have both notes, screenshots, and other customers who show a promotion being available at the time of purchase. Dell would not honor the sale. Their customer service agents were unable to read correctly or review all the provided information, lacking basic reasoning or ability to read documentation. A supervisor was no better."
"Please be extremely careful when purchasing any items from dell.ca including laptops, unless you are 100% sure that you are intending to keep the items. The 30-day return policy begins from the date of the order. It took over a month's time for dell.ca to ship my laptop, with shipping date as Sept 23, 2021. My order was delivered on Oct 2, 2021. When I called them today (Nov 1, 2021), they said that the item is no longer returnable. I spoke to two customer service reps from the 1-800 number, and they both said that it is based on the order date."
"Dell dispatched a subcontractor to change out a motherboard in my 6 months old laptop under warranty. However, when they did so, they locked up my hard drive making my computer not useable. I ended up paying over $650 to my local IT service provider to reinstall my hard drive from a recent back up and lost a few days’ worth of work. All Dell ended up offering me in compensation was a $150 credit. I will never buy another Dell product and recommend you don't either!"
"The only option for shipping on Dell's site is Fedex. When Fedex never showed at the shipping address, but marked the item as delivered, Dell wouldn't do anything without requiring me to file a police report. I cannot honestly say the item was stolen when I know it was never left at my address. Fedex opened a case and closed it the next day with no communication from me. Fedex required me to report to Dell and let them open a different kind of case. Dell is completely unhelpful and so is Fedex. I am done with the Dell online store. Good laptops. Terrible online shopping experience. "
"I bought a Dell 15 in with touch screen all the bells and whistles spent a little over a grand on it paid that off and I wanted one that would fit in my backpack so I got the XPS 13 9300 it's got every Bell and whistle you can think of and spend over $2,000 on it but I'm very happy with it so far shipping on both units was very fast they got here and no time at all I hadn't touched the computer since 2012 so set up was real simple I'm just learning how to use the Windows 10 so it's a little difficult but it's manageable there's so many different tutorials out there to teach us how to do that I'm very happy with it and I will be buying more Dell products down the line.
I did have one issue with my 15-in I called the text and they diagnosed it as a bad motherboard 4 days later there was a tech at my door he came in my house replaced my motherboard and got it all up and running great customer service right to the house took care of it no problems."
"Bought a laptop online and through Dell website. Everything looked normal until when it was time to deliver the machine. Received delivery notification with time slot for 11 November; did not happen. Next day on 12th received another notification; guess what, the item was not delivered. Called Dell customer service; the first agent insisted that the item was delivered at 18:00 on 12th and I was not at home. Explained that I have camera and I had food delivery at about the same time but he would not give up. He would not let me talk to supervisor either. Called again and the agent apologized and promised that Item will be delivered on the day by 17:00. Well it did not happen. Called Dell again and was told it is too late and it will not be delivered, “wait until Monday the 16th”. Demanded for refund and cancellation of order and compensation. It was agreed and I was promised an email to confirm in few minutes. Even that did not happen.
Weekend there is no Dell customer care. On Monday called and took more than 3 hours and talking to various people. Each will give you a different answer. And they will not let you talk to supervisor. In the end after talking to different people, one agreed to take my complaint and record it and arrange for supervisor to call me. Asked for reference number and I was told I will have an email conforming the conversation. An email was in my mail box in 5 minutes with zero record of my requests. They would not cancel the delivery and require you to receive it (whenever you receive it) and then return it. They apparently enjoy wasting your time.
Finally did what I should had done from the beginning. Called my credit company and they happily created a case to protect me.
Now I receive a call from supervisor and he is suddenly happy to do a refund and cancel the delivery.
He refused to provide any compensation for everything they did to me.
Honestly one of the lowest 3 customer services in my life. "
"We contacted them about a server configuration we were interested in. They changed the configuration promising it will work for us. We made the payment. They said they will send manuals and invoices. But they never did. They simply shipped the server. We later figured that it won't fit our need. When we contacted them over refund on the software licenses, they never returned email responses. We tried reaching them again and again, finally got their callback. They said their return policy was 30 day and the time was up. We never received any return policy and not even an invoice. We filed dispute with our bank. Dell forged their invoice to show return policy on the first page. Our bank won't help. We are entering a big litigation with Dell Enterprise over $25,000USD and all damages that caused us."

Called Dell CS 2-3 times wanting to return the printer, each time I was told to call and given the number for Ebson.(no Help) Reassured Dell CS take care of me during these issues with the printer. Long story short... 06/09/20 Had enough of the printer issues. Just wanted to return the printer and get a replacement from dell.... Dell CS said Sorry to say the 30 return widow has closed, by two day one of the day was a holiday. Even though earlier The Dell CS we would take care of you.... "For over 30 years I have built my PC's. I didn't feel like doing the reach and building, I should have. I bought a Dell Alienware R8 for $2300. I wouldn't recommend them. Alienware has serious issues with their updates. Multiples times they have failed, this time cost me a complete reload of the OS. I reached out to support Dell/Alienware and they were closed. Their hours are Monday to Friday 7am to 11pm CST. After that you are screwed. I tired reaching out to them on their support page and was told my support had expired, it hadn't it was extended. Steer clear of this company, they will let you down when you need them."

I will never buy another Dell product due to the service I have received when buying a high end laptop and have no wireless card installed.
After talking to one of your “guru” parts guy about which card is correct for this laptop model, I bought it. After waiting several days for it to arrive (no fast shipping!!!!). I was told that the PRO support contract I purchased could not help me out by having one of there guys come out to install. So I went to local repair shop to install. It was the wrong card!!!! I had to buy the correct one at my local PC repair shop and pay them to install. What a freeking disgrace. DELL has become so big and just does not have the service it did 10 years ago.
The guy that sold this laptop to me should be fired. He certainly did not have the customer in mind but seems that all he wanted is a sale!!! If I could afford it I would toss this in the trash and switch to HP or similar.
Somebody there has to know what a shitshow this whole experience was. But I bet you will not pass this up the line.
