"I am 69 years "young" and I started dealing with Dell for the first time on March 21,2006. I ordered my first entire computer system thru Dell. I am still using the same computer system that I bought from Dell in March of 2006. I purchase my ink from them and have ordered a couple smaller items over the years. I have never had any trouble when I need information as to what is compatible with the computer system that I have. The person to whom I speak with has always been kind and very helpful to me. I will always deal with Dell. I have the utmost confidence in having my questions answered very quickly."

"Very bad Experience the Dell product and thier customer and technical support team.
I purchased a new DELL inspiron 14z from Dell online store..After 3 days webcam stopped working.I called to thier technical support team and the person took almost complete my day to troubleshoot it.Later when he came to know that HArdware needs to be replaced, he told me someone one form Dell will call me back next day.No one called me back yet and also came to know that it takes the same day for repair or replacement which took for my intial delivery.Finally i called to thier customer care and talked different 3 persons and call got disconnected everytime when they transfer to Sales return specialist...)...Now i dont really have choice other than getting frustrated on thier customer care and sales...I dont really recommend to buy dell as thier giving good deal along with cheap product on top of it worst support.......Even now i dont know if i return whether i get 15% less return amount or complete 100%.Becuase there is no one is to confirm that..

"Hideous customer care. $2200.00 order shipped incomplete. Been on hold three times. Have wasted 45 minutes with the same people over and over. Feel sorry for those answering the phones. Poorly trained, poorly informed. This will be my LAST purchase with Dell ever."

"My next purchase of laptop will either be an HP or Apple. Never again will I purchase a dell laptop for the sake of saving money and headaches. We purchased a dell inspiron and this peice of crap has given us more problems since day one. First off the laptop would over heat very fast, then it would shut down and this blue screen would come up and prompt us to restart the laptop. Next, the battery life didn't even last a year. To make it worse, calling dell support is a pain in the A$$. Sorry but they have the worst customer service you could ever encounter. They keep transfering you to someone saying that they will handle the situation and they keep asking you for the same information as if they dont have a computer system infront of them to present their customers information. They are very hard to understand and they dont seem to offer any solutions to your problems or suggest anything. Instead of providing solutions they just transfer you until you decide you've had enough of talking to someone who just keeps giving you the same answer " let me transfer you".
Its ridiculous. Lets just say that i will not own any dell products for as long as i live and even my children will not own one. your better off with an acer.

"I own a dell Inspiron and let me tell you it is the WORST decision of my life. About 1 month ago it shut down unexpectedly and the operating system was corrupted. After hours on the phone i RE-INSTALLED the drivers and utilities along with the Operating system. A week passed and the computer began shut down and a blue screen with an error message kept on coming up. I called Dell over and over again and their non- English speaking representatives kept on assuring me that it was fixed when it wasn't. I have had 2 technicians over and the motherboard replaced twice along with the memory and the Optic drive which was faulty and the old one had to go back in. I have lost my temper with them but who wouldn't with such a faulty computer. I have had Managers and VP's laugh at me when I requested an exchange of the computer. Who laughs at a costumer?? I am shocked and appalled at such treatment. I can assure you I will never purchase a DELL computer ever again and neither will my friends and family. Doesn't even deserve one star"

"Dell has the worse customer service in the world!!! I have been buying from them for long and today just realized it is a nightmare when things go wrong and you try to return a defective item or get someone to help you; they will transfer your call until the call gets disconnected, and will never call back or email when there is a complaint.... I finally had to find out that Dell is outsourcing their customer service to India, and paying them for not helping customers. Hope I can get more people to talk and reveal the facts. I can copy all emails and write details about all my phone calls for a printer that is not working... but it will take all the space available. Believe me: don't buy from Dell ever!!!!! "

"I've purchased an Alienware m18x that was spec out at around $5000. When I did, it took a month and a half to get it, on top of that, I had Dell call me daily to ask me the same question over and over and over and over again, on all hours of the day. But the thing is, when I asked them about anything related to when my order was going to arrive, they don't have an answer for that.

Ok, I'll give them a second chance. Maybe it was a fluke.

I was going to buy a spec XPS17 for my personal use and purchased it using my Amex card (for the points). 4 days later I get a call from them saying my order has been cancelled. I'm furious at this point. Then the calls starts to pour in. They have random phone calls with very unprofessional and people with horrifying English accents demanding to know all of my private information, such as my card number, address, date of birth, etc. I knew this was going to be an ugly, frustrating experience all over again, because this is how it started out with my Alienware M18x.

So I straight out told them to cancel my order and I don't want any calls from them anymore. Sure enough, without skipping a beat, I get phone calls pouring in again a week after I cancelled my order from some horribly accented lady to call her back regarding my cancelled order because she need to verify something on my credit card. ON A CANCELLED ORDER!

I call back Dell and ask them to stop calling me. After 20 minutes on the phone, the guy tells me it'll take about 2 weeks before the phone calls stop. 2 WEEKS!

I don't want to do business with incompetent company with poor internal and external communications. I don't want them wasting my time, and I shouldn't have to call them back to help them do their job properly. I shouldn't have to help them take my money on an inferior and over priced products. Especially when their customer service is THE worst in the big business name computer companies.

If you want a proven, high quality laptop, buy Clevo or Prostar products. Don't even bother with Dell unless you want poor customer service, constant phone harassment, and incompetency that wastes your time, that you could spend with your families or friends. You shouldn't have to worry about if Dell is going to charge your credit card accidently, because I'm pretty sure if I don't call back, they will and tell you it'll be reimbursed in 4 to 7 weeks.

Do you really want all that trouble after spending $1500 or your hard earned money????

"I've purchased a Dell Inspiron 15R and completed 1 month on 30-June-2012 and within this month there were many different problems which i encountered while using my Laptop. I with their customer service team end number of times they had verbally guided me to reinstall my OS, which i did twice the current problems were solved, now again different problem popped up where i had to go to the service station twice and both the time reinstalled my OS and system and they also noticed there was a problem with my doughter board which they fixed. As of now i am facing a problem with audio quality where in i had a word with an CSR. Balaji who promised me they will pick up my laptop and they scan it for issues which will take approx 15-20 days for me to receive it back. i spoke with 1 of their Ex-Dell employee and according the him " the customer who submit the laptops for this time span they generally find out in a longer run THAT THE PARTS HAVE BEEN REPLACED WITH SECOND HAND PARTS "i am gonna get this resolved any how as i have all their emails, hard copies from service center and the recorded conversation from dell customer service team. If you are buying a new laptop, Dell is surely not your choice as your not only getting a scrap but you'll also ending up paying for the runaround what they are gonna provide you. With Dell, you dont get what you see/pay for.

"I recently placed an order with dell for a computer it said it had in stock. I purchased the next day delivery option, and when I received my confirmation it stated that I wouldn't receive my computer for ten days. The computer is for my son's birthday, and would be five days late if I stayed with order. So I called dell and setup another order that was guaranteed to ship next day business by the agent at dell. Two days later no computer. All of their promises and three hours on the phone with dell and FedEx left my son with out a present for his birthday. No one could help me because the department I ordered from was closed for the weekend. Monday, Tuesday, two lies from dell representatives, and an intentional act of delivery manipulation on the part of yet a third representative of dell, I have still not received my son's computer. I will never do business with dell or FedEx ever again, and I plan to let everyone I know to stop buying or using products from either. "

"Horrible service, waste of time, and lots of transfers. I ordered an item on dell's website (which was in stock at the time) and received an email that my order was acknowledged. After more than 24 hours, I check the website for online status and no where to find any information about the recent purchase I have made. I try chatting with a representative and they ask me to call a number. I call a number and no one can tell me anything about my order. After about 3-5 transfers someone informed me that the order was canceled because the item was out of stock. Even though I ordered the item in stock it was reasonable that they canceled it. However, they would not give me an email stating the order was canceled when requested. They keep saying the same phrase that does not help and just waste hours of your time. You all see the ratings here. Worst service bad business and lots of run around. Avoid the headache and go else where."

"Dell laptops used to be good now they are garbage. Don't waste your money in buying a dell.

I recently purchased a dell. Using a cashback site. They messed it up and I never got my cashback order. Also the first laptop they sent me had a dead pixel. And guess what? The second laptop also has a dead pixel. I am already tired of going through their customer service they are all polite and friendly. But my main issue is the hassle of getting a laptop with a dead pixel, then the replace also has a dead pixel.

I spent about 3-5 hours total processing the return as well as dropping off the bad laptop to a UPS center

"WORST SERVICE EVER! I ORDERED A COMPUTER, PAID FOR IT, WAITED ALL DAY FOR IT, COME TO FIND OUT THEY CANCELLED MY ORDER, WITHOUT INFORMING ME OF ANYTHING. "I used to buy Dell computers exclusively, but ever since they became so huge the quality of their computers and their customer service is just ridiculous. My computer had a problem with overheating, which I think is a little ridiculous for a computer to have. I called their customer service, and I could barely understand them, and what I could understand it didn't help at all. Basically what I think is the computer was designed so poorly that it couldn't cool itself well enough. So, no more Dell. I asked around and a lot of people recommended Ironside Computers as a good company to go with, and I was suprised to see how much cheaper their prices were. So I gave them a shot, and I'm happy I did. The computer runs great, and it runs really cool. Very happy I found my new go to company."
