"Stay away! These people will match the best price on the internet and sweet talk you in buying from them. Once they get your money, the tone changes. I've been waiting 6 months to get a refund for an item that they didn't deliver. Two items delivered were damaged. Do not repeat my mistake. They missed delivery dates, now they are lying to credit card companies, wouldn't return my calls."

Delivery service was scheduled between 1600 and 2000. The truck broke down so they had to postpone to the following morning. Late, but still courteous and did a good job in set up.

"Ordered my entire kitchen from Designer Appliances (over the past year on 3 orders). Sales process was professional. Yet again I confirmed that online stores beat old timer brick and mortar outfits in terms of knowledge. Delivery went smooth. I wished that freight company gave us a narrower window than 4 hours but I was told that it is hard to manage the exact time of arrival of a truck. Well, let's hope that manufacturer lives up to its reputation and my appliances last..."

"We are building a new house, which is stressful enough. I realized that I ordered the wrong size microwave for over my cooktop. In a panic, I searched website after website for a solution. Designer Appliance offered a trim kit that would allow my purchased microwave to fit. I was ecstatic. The website DID NOT indicate that the item was not in stock. After a few days, I sent THEM an email asking about my order. Apparently, my item was back ordered but nobody bothered to tell ME that. They informed me that "they should receive more in 5-7 days". No biggie right? Another week goes by and nothing. I sent THEM ANOTHER email asking what the status of my order was. The manufacturer (Maytag) has this on back order, I was told and there isn't a firm shipping date on it, but hopefully in a few days. Another few days goes by. I sent THEM yet another email. They just don't know when the manufacturer will ship them any. At this point I REQUESTED AN ORDER CANCELLATION. A couple of days later I requested a confirmation of my order cancellation. They NEVER sent me anything. A few days later I received a "form" email saying that due the unavailability of the product, my order was being cancelled. Really? Since I'M the one who asked for it to be cancelled in the first place, your too kind. They never followed up with me on anything.
I ended up ordering what I needed. FROM MAYTAG. The manufacturer that they said was the cause for the hold up in the first place. Funny huh? Don't buy ANYTHING here. They're customer service and concern for their customers is a joke!

"Karma is such! Tried saving a few bucks over Amazon and got taken for a ride by Designer Appliances. Purchased a premium AC for $650 from DA. They called me to schedule the delivery fro Tue. Nothing showed up, no phone calls or emails. I was busy that week so called them back on Friday and they acted like they had no idea what was going on. Fine. I was a bit angry but rescheduled a delivery for another day. I live in a doorman building so was not there for a delivery. The AC was delivered on the second try but when I opened the box, the front cover was totally cracked. From the damage, its obvious the unit was dropped at some point.

I called DA to get return it or get it replaced, but they tell me that its their return policy not to accept any ACs. They contacted the manufacturer who offered me to get the cover panel replaced. I explained that AC was damaged and wanted a full replacement since there is a potential of internal damage and did not want to deal with problems later. I purchased a brand new unit and expected a brand new undamaged unit to be installed. DA were not very accommodating and keep pointing me to their return policy. THE UNIT ARRIVED DAMAGED! I paid full price and expect a BRAND NEW WORKING UNIT.

When you purchase an AC from them, there is no warning on the AC page that this item does not follow the same return policy as the rest of their items. You would only know if you read the fine print. This is a scam! They are not being straight forward about their return policy.

Conclusion: I AM NOW STUCK WITH THIS AC and DESIGNER APPLIANCES is on my black list.

AVOID THEM SPENT A FEW EXTRA BUCKS (IF EVEN) AND BUY FROM AMAZON or ANY OTHER REPUTABLE VENDOR. YOU WILL AVOID ANY HEADACHES LIKE THIS.
