"After reading reviews of numerous appliance supply companies, I ordered a Miele built-in coffee machine last Sunday from Designer Appliances. The advertised price was excellent and the reviews were very good for the most part. My plan had been to order it online, but I called to make sure the model was available and ended up placing the order by phone. When I failed to receive an email confirmation of my order that day, I sent an email to customer service and was surprised to get an automated reply from evVive Home rather than from Designer Appliances. This concerned me because the reviews for evVive Home are strikingly negative, particularly with regard to shipping, returns, and other customer service issues surrounding items delivered in bad shape. I contacted Designer Appliances the following day and spoke to Neil, the sales director, who explained that they had recently merged with evVive Home (mainly for their warehouse space) and that all operations now go through Designer Appliances. Neil assured me that my order would be sent out by FedEx and that I would receive it by the end of the week. The new coffee maker arrived yesterday and it's great! Many thanks Neil."

I did this all on the internet and live about 100 miles south of the store in a suburb of PA. I would buy from this store again."
"After ordering a range and dishwasher from Goedeker's and having them backordered for well over a month, I finally got a refund from them and ordered the same thing from Designer Appliances. I started to order online but then called because I wanted to make sure they had them in stock like their website said. I explained my concerns to the gentleman and that I had read some not so great reviews about them. He assured me they were in stock so I ordered them. It took three days to get the payment cleared up because there was an issue with paypal and I had to jump through a few hoops with my card but Florence was on top of it every day! Checking in, making sure things were progressing with the bank. I finally was able to get the payment through on a Thursday. My appliances arrived on Monday!!!!!! I could not have been more pleased with their service. Even the delivery guys brought them in and unpacked everything to make sure there was no damage. The pricing was only slightly higher than at Goedekers and significantly lower than local resellers. But the appliances were in stock and shipped immediately. Always a person speaking English everytime I called, even when Florence wasn't available. Can't say enough good about this experience, especially when I was so sure they were going to be just like the other online company."

"Three weeks after I placed my order, DA sent me an email saying they couldn't ship to my zip code. What? Three weeks later? And I live in Minneapolis, not on the moon. If they can't ship nationally, they shouldn't advertise that they do. And it shouldn't take them three weeks to notify a customer. Totally unacceptable."

"Absolute nightmare! Ordered samsung refrigerator and paid in full on the same day. The ordered refrigerator was not delivered. Now, almost one month later, Designer Appliances refuses to issue a refund! They argue that they need to do additional investigation. I do NOT recommend Designer Appliances to anyone. "

I used DA for my home in NJ and called them to see if they could deliver to my condo in SC. The appliances (apartment sized fridge and an 18 inch dishwasher) were delivered quickly and by a courteous delivery crew. "
"My shopping experience with Designer Appliances has been absolutely horrible. I spent hours on the internet researching major appliance pricing as well as available rebates. Designer Appliance prices were a little less expensive than most of the other online retail sites and they had rebates that I couldn't find anywhere else. They also had free delivery to 48 states and no sales tax outside of New Jersey. I finally decided to buy 6 major appliances from GE, they had an excellent rebate of $1000 which ended July 7. We placed the order on July 6 and received an email confirmation. On the morning of July 7 I called to make sure everything was ok with the order. I was told it was fine but if anything came up they would call in the afternoon. I also gave them a second email address that I wanted them to use as a primary email. On July 9 we found an email telling us that the order had been cancelled because they don't deliver to our area. We live 6 miles from the largest interstate on the East Coast. I called to question the delivery and was told that we live in a "remote" area (again, 6 miles from I-95). We never got a call on July 7 like we were told and when I asked about not receiving an email at the primary address, they recited the email address back to me and the phone operator had misspelled it. We offered to meet the truck in an area they do deliver to and we were told no. More importantly, we lost out on the rebate of $1000 from GE and $375 worth of rebates they had on their website. Since it was past the date we would still lose it even if we shopped somewhere else. I asked them to reinstate the order and we will figure out how to get the appliances and they said they couldn't, that they would have to start the order process over again which would change the date and we would still lose the rebate. I was told there was nothing that could be done. I also called GE and they said there was nothing that could be done. Dealing with them has been extremely frustrating and although they talk about "Customer Service" being their main priority, when it comes to the Customer, there is no service."
"Bought my bbq grill from their website. Fast delivery. Drivers (not sure if they are employees - probably a 3rd party company) were courteous. My cover was sent via Fedex a few days later to insure that item was not lost in the shuffle of 300 lb items in trucking routes. I recommend this store."
"I ordered a Danby range hood from Designer Appliances and installed it in Sept of 2013. In Jan 2014, a halogen light went out, it wasn't just a bulb.I placed service call and was told the transformer was bad,they would be back in a week. Two weeks later service company called said part was not available, model had been discontinued.I called designer appliance on Feb. 21and was told they would replace the range hood. After calls on March 6,12,19 to Designer Appliances still no replacement. I called Danby direct and was told they did not and will not have my range hood in stock to ship to Designer Appliance.I called Designer with that information on April 21 and they said they will refund my credit card.It is now May 28 and the credit to my account still hasn't happened.I would never recommend this vendor to anyone, they have been giving me the run around and its a bad way to do business. I am extremely disappointed, and hope no one else makes the mistake of buying from them."
