"Stay away as far as you can. Service is completely unprofessional as it possibly can be. I bought elliptical trainer from Dick's Sporting Goods. From the moment of the purchase when they had no idea how to process this order and to the delivery that took whooping month (!) giving dozens reasons why it took so long. Now I'm struggling get tech support on this device (paid additionally for 3 years warranty and service)

"DICK'S SPORTING GOODS SUCKS. I tried to order a pair of Nike Air Jordan Retro 1 Sneakers online at midnight and was told to call back in an hour as they were not on the website yet. I did and every hour after that for six hours. Then I was told they sold out before my initial midnight call. That was the release date and time. Then I was told they never had them to sell. Then I was told to try tomorrow. Then I was told they will never be selling them. Etc. They are rude and nasty people and have NO customer service. I am upset as I got DICKED around by Dick's and they don't care at all."

"I have no idea how this company stays in business. They make if impossible to shop with them. I received a Reward Card exclusive savings flyer today (late). I went to 3 stores trying to find the product I was looking for and not one of them carrierd it much less had it in stock. This is not the first time this has happened. They never have inventory. If they do it is in a stack of boxes in the back that employees are too busy to be able to stock it and store systems are so bad they do not know what they are expecting to receive or have received that is sitting in the boxes aging out in the back store room. It took an act of congress to find an employee in the store to assist me. Few of them exist which is in support of the store manager's payroll bonus for keeping payroll down. Online doesn't carry them either. The 800 number does not have access to the flyer or store inventories. Customer Service cannot help without an item number. The item number is not available because Dick's does not print one in their flyer and doesn't carry inventory or inventory management software through which to pull it from. I sent an email a few months ago through the web site on a similar issue, which is the only way to communicate issues to them. It did not receive a response other than a bounce back message saying your email has been received and someone will get back to you (but don't hold your breathe) but no one ever did; therefore, it must have fallen into a black whole. This company cannot get out of their own tracks. Sell their stock if you own it, go elsewhere for your sporting good needs and if you are employed with them I would strongly recommend looking for another job before you show up one day to find they have shut down. Management clearly does not care and must be lost somewhere on the golf course or on a perpetual vacation spending their overpaid salaries for what they are doing which is running this company into the ground by way of poor decision making and poor communication practices. I am sick of caring more about doing business with them than they care about doing business with their customers. I went to Cabelas and they price matched the Dick's price in a fraction of the time it took me to write this email. Obviously I do not have an invoice/order number or date because before you can buy something, they need to stock it. Oh well. Thank you Cabelas and Bass Pro Shops for being around to offer service in Dick's Sporting Goods' absence."
"My son's little league team purchased uniforms through Dicks. I missed getting my son measured so when I got his uniform it didn't have a number and the pants were too big. When I went in to get the number put on, I was told that it would cost $3. No big deal, and after a brief exchange, they agreed to do it for free. Good. But then when I tried to exchange the pants, I was told that his "team" pants were part of a special order and could not be exchanged. No offer of any other kind was made, even though I was standing in line with several other items that I was willing to pay full price for. I finally just grabbed the pants and left."

"Great experience shopping at Dick's Sporting Goods online store. I brought a pair of ice skate from them with FREE shipping. The product came within a few days, very fast shipping.
Unfortunately, the skate is very narrow and doesn't seem to fit my feet. Therefore, I decided to return it back to the Retail store. The in-store returned process was just as good. Just need to show them my invoice/packing slip and they got me the refund back.

I expect this from a seller on ebay, but not a huge company like this. Box was beat up and torn; luckily boots were undamaged."
"Worst experience ever. DICKS can not own up to their own mistake. I placed an order using 25% bing cash back. I have been using BING and other cashback for years and never had any problems. DICKS denies my claim because they said I did not follow the terms, however I have screen shots and never used any tabs or other sites to get the cashback. They basically blame the consumer and have no customer service. Misinformation and false advertising. "Admittedly, I was a little hesitant to order from Dick’s Sporting Goods based on some of the negative reviews! Still, with their low price coupled to a web discount coupon, and no shipping charges either way, I just could not pass up ordering the Reebok Walking shoes. Expecting the worst, I was pleasantly surprised when I received a confirmation of my order the same day, notice of shipment with UPS tracking number the next day, and was wearing my brand-new shoes 7 days later! Actually, I would have had my package in only 4 days coming from Kentucky to California, but a number was left off my address on the original shipping order; not a big deal, UPS just had to reschedule delivery from Friday to the following Monday, while they figured out where I was located. The only quibble I had was that the picture of the shoe did not precisely match the shoe received. This was not the fault of DSG, because the numbers are correct to those on the Reebok site; I think that Reebok made a very slight change to the stitching design, and did not update their pictures. I do plan to order another pair, and will check this out beforehand, just so I know what I am getting is the latest pattern. Nonetheless, based on my positive experience with Dick’s Sporting Goods, I would not hesitate to order from them again in the future. No, I do not work for DSG, nor do I know anyone who does work for them. Really!"
