"I ordered an Under Armour sweatshirt for my son, but when the shipment went out, I could see a pair of Asics trainers were included. I contacted Dick's and was told to send the shoes back with the return label that was provided. This I did, but a few days later an e-mail was sent by Dick's which said there was no need to send back the shoes, as this was their mistake. Too late. Then a few days after this, I received another e-mail saying they needed the shoes for inventory purposes. I replied saying that I was told that the shoes need not be returned, but that I had anyway, as their e-mail timing was all screwed up. The reply I received apologized for all the inconvenience and confusion. Not even an offer of a discount code, which a good on-line retailer would offer. Plus their customer service takes like a week to respond to e-mails. Very bad experience. Never again. "
"I got what I ordered and it was in perfect condition. The shipping was the real problem. Although they didn't do the actual shipping, there is no way they aren't aware of the inordinate amount of time it takes for shipments to be delivered. I ordered on a Wednesday, it shipped out of Kentucky on Friday, and it got to me in Virginia the following Friday. For the life of me, I don't know why it takes a week to go through two states. Don't use the free ground shipping! Dick's should review their choice of ground shippers, as the one they have now has seriously impacted my decision to buy from them in the future."
"My experience with the store was bad in every step of the process. The item I ordered was listed as 5-7 day shipping, but it took over a month for the item to ship. When it arrived I found they had shipped the wrong product. When calling customer service to correct the problem, I found them to be almost completely useless."
"Failed to ship complete order, at first. After 30 minutes on hold, I was told that this is common and the other one was on the way but they would not provide a tracking number for the missing piece they had supposedly already shipped. I asked for a supervisor and after 20 minutes got one who maintained the same story and got me to agree to wait until the following Wednesday.
On Wednesday the missing piece arrived via a different carrier.
Why couldn't they just admit they made a mistake instead of the song and dance? In any event, the entire order finally arrived but they have lost a customer"
"Ordered a Pro-Tec IT band compression wrap with faster shipping option on 11/28/05. Shipped 11/29/05 and in my hands 12/01/05. Reasonable price, shipping options and price reasonable, packaging excellent for this item. Would recommend and will shop here again when needed. "
