"I've always had a good experience with EB's physical stores. Their employees are easily the most friendly and casual retail people I've ever dealt with. No hard-sell, and they'll tell you if a game sucks or not. They've talked me out of buying several games that I ended up hating when I rented later. Their online service is just as good. Prices were comparable with the middle-lower end of mail-order, and free 2 day shipping is nice. Especially when it arrives in 1 day. Selection could've been better, but after the $100 PlayStation2 price drop, it's not surprising at all, everyone seems to be low on stock.

"Most of my Computer games are bought through ebworld (it was known by a electronic boutique when I first order from them years back). All item were in fine working condition. No problem on this department.

Same can not be said for my experience buying console games, however. I ordered FF VIII (Yes, that was a while ago) and came defective. e-mailed customers service, sent the game back to them...and nothing ever came back. I waited so long, I had forgotten about that incident until about 10 months later when I bought FF VIII on a bargain bin at a local store.

I had no need to return any other itmes, and my contact with tech support was, and still is, on the zil side. "

"I purchased Metal Gear Solid 2 for Playstation 2 from Ebworld back in October. The game wasn't slated for release til sometime in November. In November it arrived promptly, although it bothers me that they ship their items in large boxes with no padding whatsoever. Anyway, this isn't my problem with them. I played the game and it seemed to be working fine, but at key points in the game the sound simply didn't work at all, such as at the ending sequence (well over 45 minutes in length). Verifying this with a friend I found my game was indeed defective. So I sent it back to them after speaking with a representative on the phone who assured me I would get a new copy that worked, and they sent me back what I thought was another copy. I had already played through the majority of the game, so I was in no rush to open it back up. A few weeks ago I opened it up only to find it had been resealed - and a poor resealing job at that. The plastic sealing tab on top the DVD case had been placed over the cover insert, which resulted in ripping the insert. What makes this even better is that I checked the disc out, same errors in the same places. Could it be my PS2? No, because I've checked it on other systems as well. I can almost certainly say they resealed my copy and sent it right back to me. Ebworld has far from the best prices around, and now I see they don't have the best service either. I will not be giving them my business in the future, and I wouldn't advise anyone else to either."

"I purchased Xenogears for the PSone in march, wich is a currently out of print (for lack of a better word), not thinking to get it anytime soon, but seeing as I've ordered from them before and they clearly said it wasn't in stock I went for it anyway. Well two days later I get an email saying they got one and it was on the way. Pretty good. I really like the fact I know they are not yanking my chain on things. A lot of sites have great prices but is it in stock? When making a purchase it is one thing that I really like to know cause if I spring for 2 day shipping I want it in 2 days (or 3 depending on the time of day)so even though I found it cheaper on another site, the site couldn't even tell me if they had it. So both times with this company have been good with me. They rock."
