"Awesome prices with great service. Contacting their white glove delivery service (AM Home Delivery) was somewhat of a hassle but the TV got to my house when they stated and made sure it functioned before they left. I will definitely shop here again as well as recommend others to."
"Had my doubts because of the very low price. TV shipped within 3 days (granted, I do live in north NJ) which was very fast. TV was brand new, in the box, and the delivery guys plugged it in to make sure it was fully functional before they left. All of my future TV purchases will be from East Coast TV's."
"After reading reviews I was perpared and EXPECTING presure to upgrade my order. I am here to report this did not happen! TV I reqested was not in stock when I recived call but as pointed out by Steve product I picked did state (taking orders-which means not in stock & ship date unknown). Steve suggested newer model in stock, directed me to do my research and call back if I decided not to wait but was happy to take my original choice. I decided on in stock Sharp 70 in LC847U which was recieved from NJ to New Orleans in 7 days. White Glove delivery was outstanding service and well worth money! My whole experiance with East Coast and my purchase was OUTSTANDING!!"
"All in all, the experience was OK. I ordered a Panasonic TCP65VT30 initially online, but the order could not be completed due to the fact that I entered a 2% off promo code that applies only to bank wire payment.
Got a call the following day from a sales named Dave, to keep the story short, I ended up paying $99 extra for express shipping because Dave said they would "help me set it up and making sure everything is OK with the TV" (bought white glove shipping before) but will get a 3D HDMI cable for free ($39.99 on their website). Final quote was $ 2282 and was told I would receive email for detailed order confirmation. This was Saturday afternoon (7/21). Never got the email.
On 7/22 (Sun), received a fraud alert message from my creditor in regards to this charge, got an email from Eastcoast TV about this, and also got a voice mail left by Dave about this. The order amount was still $2282. I called up my creditor to authorize the charge, but was unable to reach Dave as it was already 6pm on Sunday.
On 7/23 (Mon), called up Dave to double make sure that my order went through as well as requesting the detailed order confirmation. This time, the order amount became $2350.46 (shipping insurance of $68.46).
On 7/26(Thurs), I received the TV. The shipping people plugged in the TV (with the TV still in the box) just to make sure the TV can power on. I asked them to help me carry the TV out of the box (it's a 65" plasma and weights 135 lb), they said "you have to assemble the stand first" which translates to "pull the stand out and place the TV onto the stand then screw in 4 screws" and left.... so much for "helping me set it up and making sure everything is ok"... On the bright side, I did save $40 tip... Oh, and the "free" cable I got was working for about 2 hours before its contact fitting fell off...
Since I desperately need a TV before Olympics began, I didn't bother fighting with the additional charge. And since I really didn't pay for the HDMI cable, I didn't want to go through the hassle of replacing it (I got another 6xHigh Speed HDMI about a week later for no more than $30). I don't really have a problem with paying for the shipping insurance since I always pay for insurance when I buy from auction anyway. However, the fact that they added the charge without telling me did annoy me. I would have probably cancelled the entire order if I didn't desperately needed the TV.
Their pricing of the TV is rather good, however. Not to mention they are one of the few merchants online that are still selling this 2011 model (2012 is already out and costs $3500).
Will I order from them again? If I don't desperately need the item, maybe. Otherwise, No."
"Great organization to do business with. I checked out Amazon, EBay, Best buy and no one could touch the prices and free shipping that East Coast TVs offered. i would definitely do business with them again!"
"Prices are excellent, shipping and delivery was fast and easy."
"I had no problems. Bought a 55 inch LG LED TV. Price was at least $100 cheaper than anywhere else - and there was free shipping and no tax.
I only got a phone call from one of their sales guys to add my shipping address to my credit card account, but otherwise he didn't try to sell me anything, and I got no pressure to buy anything extra.
I called the credit card company, put in the order online, and they replied with a receipt. They sent me a tracking number for "AM shipping". The TV arrived in a week (traveled cross country!) The shipping guys were pleasant - brought the TV up to my living room, helped me unbox it, and waited for me to inspect it and turn it on to make sure it worked, and then I signed a form saying it had been delivered alright.
Had the TV for a week now and it's great. N/A on service because I didn't really talk to them much. I hope nothing happens, but if something goes wrong with the TV I can come back and rate how they do with customer service.
Smooth experience - and with low prices too! Would definitely buy a TV from these guys again. Recommended."
"Excellent Service, Reliable, Quick delivery."
"I placed an order for a TV on 8/2/2012 at 10:00 AM. I used the "paycheck" promo code (which went through on the website) and received a call from Steve, who said that was only if I paid cash or by check. It was not valid because I used a credit card. (Then the website should tell me that during checkout.) OK He then said that because I was so close, I qualified for local delivery. He "did me a favor" and by charging me $61, instead of $29 and no 2% discount, as advertised, I could get my TV VERY QUICKLY because they would ship from their store in NJ instead of having to wait to receive it from the factory on the west coast. Their website says that most orders ship within 48 hr. and Steve implied that I would have my TV within a couple of days. On Sunday, when their website showed no change since the day I ordered (processing ... ready to ship), I wrote an email in the morning ... nothing. Then I wrote another in the evening ... got two canned emails at 10:00 PM Sunday evening asking that I call Tony. I called on Monday morning and Tony acted like he couldn't understand what my complaint was! I live less than 200 miles from Linden, NJ. I ordered on Thurs. 8/2/12 and to me fast shipping would mean a TV by Monday. Especially since they claim to ship within 48 hr. On Monday evening, I called again. Tony assured me that the TV had shipped and I would have it Tues. (which he had promised on Sunday) or Wed. Well, it's 7:30 Tues. evening and NOTHING! All I'm asking for is honesty.
I just spoke with Tony, who told me that he understands my frustration and he is willing to give me a partial refund on the shipping. He is promising me a tracking number tonight or tomorrow morning and is 99% sure that my TV will arrive tomorrow. I will happily revise my review, if the TV arrives safe and sound tomorrow.
Update (8/10/12): On Aug. 9, 2012 I received a call from Billy. The warehouse sent my TV to East Coast TV instead of to me! They took the time and trouble (plus expense) to have it over-nighted to me. It arrived this morning. It's great and even though there were a lot of bumps in the road, I couldn't have had better help than what I got from Tony & Billy. I was hesitant because I wasn't familiar with the company, but I would not hesitate to order from them again! I was very upset initially, but Tony and Billy went above and beyond to make it right!"
"During the order for an LG 55LM7600 there was a map showing the free delivery area that I didn't see. East Coast called within 5 minutes to let me know of the problem and worked out a very fair discount on a white glove delivery that could get the TV to my location. Although I ended up paying a little more than I expected it will be better in the end. The TV was delivered in 5 days and was in perfect condition. It works and looks great. East Coast TVs is totally committed to customer service and will go out of their way to make things right. Thank you East Coast TVs."
"Very smooth transaction - thanks a lot"
"Mix up on the TV. Tony says they will make it right, pick up the TV and provide me a credit. He also offered a good deal on a newer model. I will update this review when they pick up the TV and provide me a credit."
"Super fast shipping. I ordered this HDTV late on a Friday and Fed-X delivered it the following Wed. Unit was new as advertised and works great."
"Transaction was smooth. I ordered a very expensive Weber grill on a Wednesday evening very late. First thing Thurs AM I received what appears to be the standard call indicating that the discount was only for check or wire transfer, asking to upgrade freight, etc. All of this is well document from other reviewers. I was OK with the rebate going away, declined the expedited freight / white glove service, and declined the "insurance". The web said that the normal shipping was 7-10 days, on the phone I was told I should upgrade b/c it could take 3-4 weeks to ship. I assured them I was in no rush.
In reality, the grill shipped that same day, I received a nice confirmation e-mail from the shipper. I live in IN, the product started in New Jersey. It shipped on Thursday and was delivered early Monday morning. Nice. And I probably saved $3-400 + no sales tax.
Honestly, I read most of the reviews AFTER I ordered the grill. I felt a little sick worrying about what I had done. The call before they will release your order is annoying, but other than that I would give these guys 5 stars. They even call up a week later just to be sure everything was successfully delivered and you are happy. Nice touch, even though they are politely encouraging you to write a review if you are happy. One key theme, all the previous reviews that had an issue all seem to say that East Coast called and made every attempt to make it right. Crap happens, what separates the good from the average is how you handle it WHEN problems arise. Based on my experience - no worries.
In a nutshell, I would buy from these guys again."
"Shopped around for a Weber Summit 470 grill and found the East Coast TV website offering a price lower than any of the other 'sales' I had seen. I had never heard of them and the name alone was concerning since I only wanted a grill so I did some research online and of course found some people who had expressed concerns but also found a lot of positive comments and so took a chance and bought the grill. Got a follow up phone call minutes later to confirm my order. A little upsell on 'white glove' service and the grill cover. I declined the former but was talked into the latter (thankfully because that official weber cover is custom made and really is a must have in my opinion now that I have both). The cover shipped separately right away and the grill arrived shortly thereafter. The freight company they used called and gave me a 4 hour window and came during that time period. The two guys carried the grill straight through the house to the back deck and opened up the box to allow me to inspect it to make sure it was the natural gas model and also stainless (both things the customer service rep had originally called to confirm about my order which I appreciated). The delivery guys were professional and took care to get the grill out there safely without any collateral damage and this thing in the box was huge. Have now cooked on the grill a couple of times and can't imagine a better grill especially when you factor in their price. Highly recommend getting your next grill at this 'TV' store and based on this experience will be getting my next TV from them as well..."
