In closing, we all hear of scams and horror stories which would make one leery of buying "ONLINE".

I'm glad I took the leap of faith and gave it a try. No issues, no problems and a TV that I saved nearly $600.00 in a local, well known retail store.

The best part? My friend who owns the exact TV (which I fell in love with and wanted, hence the purchase) wasn't too happy to find out I saved $600.00.

"Yesterday, I placed an order for a 46" HDTV. The price and free shipping looked good. The company called me today to let me know about the fine print in their on-line coupon that I missed, they tried to add on another 1.5% fee and they tried to get me to pay extra for shipping. When I told him to cancel the order, he said those added fees would not apply. I still cancelled the order later on-line.

I prefer to take my business to another company that does not use these misleading tactics. This sale may have eventually worked out fine, but I did not want to take that chance."

"Bottom line - I am very happy with my purchase of the Samsung TV and the whole transaction with East Coast TV. Read on only if you want to hear the contrast between my experience with East Coast TV and another on-line retailer.

Though East Coast TV called to see if I needed any additional accessories or wanted the white glove delivery, when I advised that I had everything I needed and could handle the set-up myself they went ahead and full-filled my order. Though I was advised it would not likely ship for 2 weeks, I received it within 5 business days. That could have been a result of living in a large city that gets frequent freight delivery, but either way it was a pleasant surprise to get it so quickly. The local delivery was hassle-free and I ended up joking with the delivery guy about the number of these TV's he was delivering and how much easier these super thin and super light TV's are over the old monster rear projection and other TV's.

East Coast TV did everything they promised and though I had no problems with the TV or other issues, I hope I would have received the same kind of service solving any problems I might would have had.

I actually had grave reservations about ordering this TV as I had a bad experience earlier with another on-line retailer. I had tried to order a similar Samsung TV a few months earlier from another on-line retailer in the NY area and the story was entirely different. The other on-line retailer, which will go unnamed, was using a super low price on the TV I was ordering as the 'bait' to then try to 'switch' you over to a much higher priced TV. When I would not go for the switch, the rep became aggravated and advised that the TV was on back order and would be shipped from the SAMSUNG warehouse and then hung-up. I never received anything else from the retailer, either a phone call or email advising the status of the TV. Luckily, my credit card was also never charged. Basically, I believe they never intended to sell the TV at that price and just wanted to high pressure a sale of a more expensive TV. I therefore had similar expectations when I got on the phone with EAST Coast TV, but was pleasantly surprised when I actually got my TV for the price advertised. No surprises. I am sure they would have loved for me to buy a more expensive TV or the extra HDMI cables or anything else, but when I declined they at least were still willing to sell the TV at the advertised price. Maybe that is a fairly low hurdle to clear, but after my first experience that was all I was asking for.

"i ordered a tv today. they called me back to say that they would have to charge 120 more for shipping. i live in central new york there company is in NJ. he stated it was out of their normal shipping range. they need to put a shipping map up on the web. wasted my time.

Received the tv as stated. Excellent no problems except now they saying I don't qualify for the 2% discount that deducted on my receipt. I will updatevas soon as I get the 2% back.

"Eastcoasttvs.com is legit. They have the best prices in the internet on "new" factory sealed items. I just bought an LED/HDTV and the transaction went very smooth. The delivery went well. No mention of being back ordered. My guess is this is not the only time this has happened.Good luck.I had read something like this on a review but gave them a chance.If you can't resist.Do so knowing this might happen to you."
