"Had a shipping issue with these guys - Tony the manager called me to take care of it - he went out of his way to find another dealer with the TV i wanted in stock - and promised delivery next day. Very happy with how my issue was resolved and I would gladly work with Tony again. "

"Their price on the Samsung UN46D8000 was the best available, though to avoid a 10 day delay for shipping from the West coast I went for the FedEx shipping, which brought the price in line with some other vendors. Don't fall victim to the $99 ADDITIONAL FedEx shipping, however. My shipping was delayed by 3 days for "verification." I suspect it was not in stock as promised. FedEx's actual shipping charge would have been $32 TOTAL. Plus East Coast TVs charge an additional "shipping insurance"which FedEx includes. A bit of fast talking & somewhat misleading. If you choose standard shipping they ship from the opposite coast, FedEx comes right from the store in NJ. Sneaky way to upsell a Maryland customer. I was told I could not make sure the TV was actually working before the delivery person left. No "white glove" service here."

"I purchased a TV from East Coast TV's. I found it to be the lowest price on the web and I would not have to pay sales tax. I searched reviews of East Coast TV's and found exceptional reviews. So I went ahead and ordered and because I did my due diligence, I felt safe to deal with this company. I talked with the Manager today and he Guaranteed the TV is on its way. He told me they would even bring the TV into my home and plug it in to gaurantee it works correctly. I saved hundreds of dollars over buying at the local stores and also several hu ndred dollars in sales tax. Thanks East Coast TV, it was a pleasure to deal with you!"

"EXCELLENT COMPANY!!!!

I've been looking for a 70 inch LED 3D TV for month or so...called East Coast TV and they gave me the best price ever. About $900 cheaper than Best Buy. I was very skeptical and didn't want to lose out on that much money...however, I was very glad I used East Coast TV. I'm in Maryland which is close to East Coast TV in NJ...however, ordered TV on a Monday and the rep was very knowledgable and courteous. Threw in some deals and the very next day I received a Blu-ray player...on Wed (2 days later) received mounting bracket from Fed Ex...and a call on Thur saying I should receive my 70" Sharp LED HD/TV 3D on Friday morning...Friday morning about 7:30am...two guys arrived with my TV...opened it up and put on stand and plugged it in to make sure it worked. All was perfect and extremely quick shipping. Price was so lot I purchased 3yr warranty which I received today, approx 1 wk after delivery. So this is no SCAM company...I will use them again and again and again.

"Help!!! I made a purchase on Feb. 19th. Since then, all efforts to contact EC TV's have been a dead end. NO email replies, NO way to leave a voice mail message (ALL available boxes are FULL). NO Human response or contact! What's up???
***(I'll be happy to submit an updated review if the above situation can be positively resolved). Thanks.

*** follow up to above ... just spoke with TONY at EC TV's. He contacted me regarding my order from last week. Don't know why/how the communication problem occurred, but TONY offered to make things right. Offered to upgrade shipping & throw in a HDMI cable. Said would personally handle my order and that at the end of the day ... I WOULD be a happy customer. I hope he is right. After delivery of my (Samsung TV) order, I will add a final follow up review & update my STAR rating. TONY ... thanks for your assistance.

"This was my first purchase from ECT. I purchased a Panasonic TC-P65VT30. After placing my order online, I received a phone call which is reasonable for a $2500 purchase. My order online was for the TV ($2444) and the cheapest shipping ($29) for a total of $2473. When they contact me by phone, they disclosed that there was an additional shipping insurance charge of $35.88. Normally, I would have canceled the order right there but I hung on. The first upsell was to the 'White Glove' delivery. Normally I wouldn't, but as my back was in bad shape I went for it. Next was the extended warranty, I did not go for it. There was a problem with my debit card (not ECT's fault) that was a bit of a pain but handled. My delivered cost was $2599. I am in the DC area and the TV arrived the second business day after I placed my ordered. The white glove was worth the additional money. They put the TV where I wanted it, set it up, tested everything and did the initial set up. They were friendly, neat and professional. They gave me plenty of notice with a call the day and an hour before. All in all, I am happy with the purchase. I don't care for the undisclosed insurance charge. I don't mind an upsell as long as it doesn't delay my order and they can take 'no' for an answer which was the case here. I would purchase from ECT again, but would factor in the additional costs when shopping for price."

"The price for the LED tv I bought was the best I found, they shipped it fast, and it arrived quickly with no problems. The only negative I had with the experience was not necessarily with them, but the info they gave me on the "white glove" shipping. They told me that they recommended the white glove so that we could verify the TV was operational when it arrived, and thus refuse shipment if anything was wrong (which was correct, and I agree with), however, they assured me that I could coordinate whatever delivery date with the shippers once it arrived locally. However, the reality is that the shippers here in Las Vegas only delivered to my area on Fridays (so I could not coordinate any other delivery day, either this friday, or try again next friday etc.). So as I said, it wasn't necessarily an issue with east coast TV's, but with their misunderstanding or lack of knowledge about how the company they use for white glove delivery worked in my area, thus they passed on completely wrong information to me."

"I purchased a Panasonic 50" GT30 Series Plasma HDTV-TCP50GT30 from EastCoastTVs in January 2012. The price was very competitive and it was delivered without charge within seven days. The factory packaging was well engineered and the TV suffered no damage during shipment. The TV setup was very easy and Panasonic includes a bevy of video and audio cable adapters. All you need to supply is an HDMI ver1.4 cable for each one of your input and output home theater components to gain full 1080 HD performance. Picture quality is the best I've ever seen. The 2D to 3D conversion capability is quite good, but you will need to purchase active 3D shutter glasses specifically engineered for the Panasonic 2011 product line...the large size glasses appear to fit most viewers and fit over presciption eyeglasses. I have not yet set up the internet capability."

"At first I had concerns about ordering a TV of this size and cost online, and those concerns were altogether justified. After placing the order I was called and interrogated about my shipping options, pushed to select a service I repeatedly refused, encouraged to purchase a warranty I didn't want, and pushed to write a favorable review despite my assurances that I hadn't had a favorable experience.

After initially writing this review and supplying generally negative feedback pending receipt of the TV, I immediately (literally in under five minutes) got a call from Tony, who stated he was the manager. With a voice on the very edge of yelling, pushy tone and claims that he was "just trying to make a buck" and my review was preventing that, he told me that I had to change my review of ResellerRatings.com. He promised he'd update my shipping to "White Glove Express" and get it out that same day if I modified my review.

Being a bit self-interested, and considering this company had my credit card number, I complied. The TV did not ship that same day. The service was not upgraded to "White Glove Express" and I do not think East Coast TVs is a reputable company. They have a high ResellerRatings.com review because the staff harass and intimidate their customers to manipulate that rating.

Read the reviews carefully and you'll see a tell-tale pattern of their scheme. Reviewers mention initial concerns that are alleviated after calls to "the Manager" or "Tony" - that's because he bribes and pushes users to leave inflated reviews in exchange for "White Glove Express" shipping on our thousand dollar + TVs and never delivers.

In the end, I wish I would have paid the extra cost to another retailer, had the TV painlessly in four days from a vendor that actually accepts returns, and didn't have to deal with Tony or East Coast TVs' "Customer Service" at all.

Caveat emptor.
