Really dont need any of the upcharges but I got $1,000 off the tv so I agreed to one $70 upcharge. "First let me say every and I mean every business regardless of what they do gets a bad rap from someone for what ever reason. It's like a good or even great restaurant you get that on unhappy person cause the fork was on the wrong side of the plate. Thats what I am saying about the poor review I read on ripoff report.com. I heard about EC on the internet by just Googling tv prices. They beat any and I mean any price by far. I am from Long Island NY. There is a huge family owned box store here on the island. They r cheaper then Best Buy etc.Needless to saY East Coast beat their prices by approximately $290-330. Plus there was no tax. So if you factor in the 8.625% tax you are saving over $500. I purchased the 65" smart samsung 8000 series. The set was delivered within 5 days. Delivery was smooth no bs to complain no scratches nothing. Plus I looked inside the truck to see how they were packed in. They had 4-5 other sets just like mine to be delivered, among others. Delivery guys were great. Unpacked tv plugged it in{just like their delivery service noted}. Just a little fyi. Told my buddy about the tv purchase. He used east Coast 2 years prior. He goes above and beyond the normal shopping recon. All in all you will not get a better price from any where. So I have told anyone that I hear of buying a TV to use East Coast. Though this process does slow down the delivery time, in my case it was worth it. The only negatives were with delays in updating the order status, and trying to track the shipment. "Very deceptive practice. I bought 65" SONY TV from this site on Black Friday. Someone calls me after placing an order and tells me that i'm required to buy an insurance. Plus they tried to sell me "White Glove" service for $149 which they claim someone brings in TV with white gloves and plugs it in to a power outlet.
I would have bought it from the largest online retailer, but tried to save CA sales tax 9.0%. Lesson learned. Don't make the same mistake i did!"
" I recently bought a 60 inch LCD TV for a very good price. After submitting my order online I received a call from one of their sales people, who proceeded to hard sell me additional products and services - one of which was their white glove service, which simply means the delivery will be made in one week, appliance brought into the house, and plugged in to confirm it works. Since I am usually not home, I thought it would be a good idea since my wife could not drag a 60 inch TV into our home. After one week I did not receive the TV, after two weeks I did not receive the TV, I called them and they argued that their policy was 5 to 7 business days. When I threatened to dispute the charge and cancel the order the TV miraculously got delivered the next day. The next issue I have with them is the price they charged me for the TV mount, which was approximately double the listed retail price. It's one thing to be Up-Sold and yet another to be overcharged. NOTE: They have recently contacted me again and have made amends for all my issues."
