"These guys run the same scam as the rest of the tv websites. Buy a tv at a great price, get a call the next day to confirm something, end up on the phone with a typical greaseball loudmouth that talks over you and insists you buy "white glove shipping" and shipping insurance that according to him you must purchase. Get really irritated because they are obviously full of it, hang up annoyed, watch your credit card get charged for all their services anyway, then fight with them and your credit card to reverse the unauthorized charges. Then the "manager" calls you back apologizing and tries to talk you back into the same crap. Save your time and irritation. While you may save a couple of hundred dollars in the end, dealing with these obnoxious loudmouths isn't worth the difference. Every good review about this place is from someone gullible enough to be talked into their crap. Try it yourself and tell me I'm wrong.

" I ordered the Samsung UN60F8000 from East Coast TVs by phone. I had read reviews and articles about discount dealers that concerned me, but their price was9 $900 less than any retailer in my area. Some of the retailers had a discount on a sound bar or bonus points on a credit card, but even with those discounts, East Coast was far less, so I gave them a try. There was pressure to upgrade the shipping, or buy accessories. I did not take any of the options, but the sales person told me I had to take the insurance. That still left a discount of over $800.

I did not take the White Glove Delivery. I was worried about damage or rude delivery people. I was pleasantly surprised by the delivery. Two guys carried it in the house & opened the box, connected the cord & turned it on. They were very polite , helpful, & professional.

The pressure to add on to the order was the only negative, and considering the big discount, I won't let that stop me from using them in the future."

"I purchased an amazing Samsung 65 inch LED TV for a great price. East Coast TVs (ECTV) is a reputable company that delivers on their promises. My advice is go ahead and buy from East Coast TV, but keep in mind that they are no different from big box retailers. They will offer you extras like extended warranty and if you don't want the service them just stand your ground and firmly say no and they will respect your decision.

As with other customers on this site, an ECTV sales person called to try and sell me Extended Warranty, and "White Glove" service, and add on shipping protection. Like other reviewers, I'd like to have this charge on the total cost of the item at the time of checkout. So, before you place your order. Even with shipping protection added to the price they still had the best price online; I said no to the extended warranty and white glove service. They should just build the shipping protection into their selling price. It avoids the ire of customers when they are surprised with perceived hidden costs because they do not come up at checkout time.

Finally, I'm not sure what EXACTLY "White Glove" service entails but I did NOT buy it and the delivery guys did not just leave the TV curbside but instead brought the TV into my house. Unpacked and tested the TV by turning it on and making sure there wasn't any damage. The delivery guys told me that they are REQUIRED to do this so I feel that there is a disconnect between East Coast TVs and their delivery company or companies. I don't know if this is the case for all delivery locations but it was my experience here in Los Angeles, CA.

I'm giving them five stars because they WILL come through on delivering the product they are selling at the best possible price. I knew exactly what I was getting into because I took the time to research the website and it only took a couple of hours. Be prepared, read the reviews on this site as they are very accurate, stand firm, and you will not be disappointed."
