"Having gone through 139 pages of reviews on East Coast TVs, I opted to buy from them.
A brief word about the reviews - a few five star reviews were amended from prior 'lower star' reviews because the management made good after the fact. Some of the poorer reviews seemed to have been due to the buyer not taking the time to read through the website and having a bad experience. For example, a 2% discount is mentioned (using promo code 'paycheck' - for those who pay by cashier's check only. Obviously, those who used a credit card for example, did not get this, though it might have reflected on the transaction. Certainly, a little tweaking of the website itself would help prevent further confusion.
Anyways, the process seems to be as follows: 1. order the object of your desire (in my case, a Panasonic 65 inch vt50). 2. Someone will call you from Management within a short time (Mike called me within 24 hours. The call is to confirm your order ( a good thing, preventing credit card fraud, for sure). It is also to sell accessories and warranty. 3. You will receive a tracking number in your email. 4. The trucking company will call you with a 4 hour window for delivery. 5. Enjoy your possession!
I placed my order on 12/22, my call came on 12/23, the email on 12/24, my tv on 12/28. DONE!
I ordered the 1+2 year warranty - $348, the universal wall mount - $249, with white glove shipping and insurance. For larger TVs, the insurance is mandated, as the website notes. Yea, this adds to the overall cost, but for the overall price, definitely worth it.
First off, they do have the cheapest price, bar none. There were two other online stores, 'alltimetivs' and 'buysquad', with comparable prices, but the overall reviews helped my decision in opting for east coast. (the other two websites 'follow' the trending prices set by east coast!)

"Pretty good experience. If you realize going in that you're going to get the heavy sales pitch for the expedited delivery and extended warranty (which I did), then it was a good purchase. I paid the extra few bucks for the warranty and the quick delivery, and they threw in a HDMI cable as well. TV was delivered 4 days later... trucking company brought it in, unpacked it and plugged it in to make sure it worked. I was satisfied with the service. "I bought a 55" Samsung from East Coast. The online experience was great--easy search, competitive price and efficient order process. Then the less than tasteful part of the experience--the personal call. I was contacted with several issues either not explained well or not disclosed in the online order process. First, free shipping is not free unless the delivery is within a very restricted area. Upon research, this is disclosed on their website, but you have to actively search for the detail. Big Splash, small asterisk! Second, now that shipping has a fee, they also charge the customer an extra fee to insure the shipment. Interesting that a merchant would chose a shipping company that doesn't guarantee/insure its own service (when was the last time you paid a merchant insurance to have them ship via UPS?). East Coast passes this cost on to the consumer. Frustrating. Be prepared for calls from the salesperson wanting to "make it right." This is not nobility, it is saving the sale. In summary, if these issues were disclosed and explained upfront, they would still be a viable and competitive merchant. The business practices they choose to employ, however, leaves one with a less than pleasant experience."
