"Based on all the reveiws, I also ordered a 55" LG LM7600 TV. Just got a call from them to confirm the order. They were trying hard to sell the expedited shipping service for extra $99 dollars, but I denied it. Lets see how and when the TC arrives.
Waiting for it. Will update the review once I get it.
Update (10/03):So I get the confirmation e-mail today stating that my TV has shipped. They have given me a tracking number as well. Lets see how fast the TV arrives."
"I ordered a Samsung 65" Series 8 LED HDTV - UN65D8000 on 20Sep2012 plus 3 year in-Home Warranty ($3K). Since I applied for the paycheck credit, I had to send a check that East Coast TV made cash today 26Sep. I spoke with Davis yesterday who told me I should receive my TV within a week. He was very nice upgrading the delivery to white glove. He also said the delivery Trucking Company will contact me for details. I expect the delivery NLT Monday, October 1, 2012. Will see!!! Still waiting for the TV. Today is 2Oct. I spoke with Davis last Thursday who said the TV was out from store last Wednesday. He also said that the delivery trucking guys will contact me the day prior to the actual delivery day. Still waiting!!! October 12, 2012, Here the Conclusion: Like everybody else is complaining about, the shipping took somewhat longer than expected: 23 days, in my case was really 18 days since the check was cashed. I personally consider is OK, it is a delicate and heavy equipment. Anyway, I have the TV, it is working great, the delivery guys made a good job. They even helped me to move the old heavy monster Sony TV to the baseman. I'm very grateful from the team of East Coast TV's Davis and Steve, I would buy from them again!!!"
"Waiting on my tv, then I will let you know. "
"Great service, great products! Excellent pricing, too."
"Purchased Yamaha receiver for less than Amazon and much less than Best Buy. Delivered without shipping charge in 3 days.
Overall, terrific! I would recommend them!"
"Great pricing, I saved $200 - $400 over other internet sites and around $1,000 over stores! Free shipping and no tax. Great service, easy to contact and straight forward. I love the Samsung UN60ES7500, fabulous picture and internet hookup. I definitely would buy from EastCoastTV again. "
"Absolutely cannot beat the prices. I don't know how they do it, but they are significantly lower than the majors even after expedited shipping.
Also have solid customer service. Was able to directly email with a rep to sort out my billing info quickly and get my order processed.
Bought a 60inch Samsung and it arrived the same week - no issues. Will keep buying from them as long as they keep beating the prices."
"I have been watching pricing on TVs for over a year now. Buying from stores locally or even online. The prices are not great!! If anything, overpriced, you definitely overpay! I found that EastCoastTVs has the best prices on the latest models, so you get the latest technology before everyone else at great prices. Their customer service is excellent. The people at EastCoastTV definitely take care of you. "
"09/16/12 - Order placed
09/28/12 - Delivered
The shipping company called 3 days in advance to let me know about the delivery schedule. They plugged the TV in to make sure it switches on. The TV looks beautiful and the whole transaction has been really pleasant. No pressure for any up sale and timely delivery. As for the price, it is still the best price available anywhere and the sales person went out of his way to give me the same discount on the credit card purchase."
"found east coast tv through google shopping for a weber s-670 grill. the price listed was excellent so I went ahead and ordered online. thereafter received call from salesman who informed me there was an additional 1.5% insurance charge not listed on online invoice. Went ahead with purchase as the price was still good. It is now 7 days later and the order has yet to be completed...still listed as processing ... and the store is closed for another 2 days so i am assuming the order will ship at the earliest in 10 days. I will call on wednesday when the store opens back up to see what they say. However, in the meantime i should have paid attention to the reviews as this seems to be a common problem with the weber grills. I'll update after i talk with them................update, east coast contacted me and straightened all items out. The grill shipped this week and is due to arrive next week. The salesman was very responsive toward trying to ensure i was satisfied."
"Hello, I ordered an LG 55LM7600 tv from them. I was skeptical at first and was really nervous about ordering such a big money item online (and my wife was on my case too!!) Well, on the 10th day of placing the order I received my tv. I was able to saved $500 compare to the local guy (if you count the tax i would of payed) My tv is awesome, thank god!! I would recommend them as long as you are aware that you lose the ability to return the item for free like you could at most local places (they have a 10% stocking fee and i imagine the shipping too).
However, if you already know what you want and are willing to wait then you could save a lot of money. They charged my card(which showed as processing) to make sure money was available but it didn't post to my account until I signed for it. Oh yeah, the guys that deliver it plug it in to make sure it works before you sign.
Anyhow, I'm glad I used them and now I tease my wife on how I got a great tv for $500 bucks less."
"Placed my order for a TCP50ST50 Panasonic 50" ST Series Plasma HDTV on 8/9/12 for $1,079.00. (I found a $10 off code on retailmenot.) It's 9/15/12 now. I was told in the apparently standard follow-up white glove upsell charge call with Tony that it would take "3-4 weeks but could take an additional 3-4 days.". No problem. I turned down the white glove and the insurance and told him I would patiently.
Update 8:24pm Within an hour of posting my initial review Tony, the manager personally called me. He price matched the current price, offered free hdmi cables, and assured me my tv within 7-10 business days. Assuming he makes good on this promise, I must say, great responsive customer service!
Update 10/3/12: Shipping company had a delay; I'll get the TV on 10/8. Talked with Tony; he says the date and time is solid and he's throwing in a 3D Blu-Ray player for my troubles on top of the HDMI and the $55 price drop. Thanks a lot guys!
Update Black Friday 11/22/2012: The TV arrived the final time and I've had the TV about 6 weeks. I love the TV and haven't had any problems. Like some other reviewers the waiting game isn't the issue, it's the lack of communication on delays. You really have to stay after them.
I lowered the review to neutral since he never delivered the 3D Blu-ray player or HDMI cables as promised to make-up for the wait. I've never heard of FEDEX being that backed up. The best thing I can recommend is if you're willing to wait and don't mind keeping after them for updates you can get a really good deal on a great TV. "
"Great price, speedy delivery"
"Overall, great experience and I highly recommend East Coast. I read all their reviews before selecting them over other online stores and I was prepared for a two week delivery time from New Jersey to Dayton Ohio. I bought Samsung's biggest, top-of-the-line plasma (PN64E8000) and East Coast's price was $1000 cheaper than brick and mortar stores (I paid $2,383) and they had lower prices than other online stores, which also had fewer positive reviews.
I ordered on a Monday night (8/27/12) and they called me the next morning to confirm the order and get the 3-digit code on the back of my credit card. They offered some low prices on white glove delivery, 3D HDMI cables, and an extended warranty. I declined and they offered even lower prices, but I declined again. They warned me it may ship from California instead of their New Jersey store and it may take up to 3 weeks for delivery. I told them 3 weeks was acceptable (although I was extremely tempted to pay the extra money for the extremely discounted white glove price to speed up delivery--and I'll revisit that decision later in this review).
East Coast emailed me 3 days later on Friday afternoon (8/31/12) with the tracking number and delivery company (AM Home Delivery) which is also their white glove delivery company. I was pretty anxious and excited for my new TV and I lost some potential delivery time because Monday was Labor Day (shoot me).
I finally called the delivery company on Thursday (9/6/12) because the tracking still showed "in transit" from NJ. They said the TV should be delivered to their Cleveland distribution center later that day. They also said they had scheduled delivery days for my part of Ohio and I would receive it the following Wednesday (9/12) or Thursday (9/13).
The delivery company called me Monday (9/10) and scheduled the delivery for Wednesday (9/12) and they delivered Wednesday during my 4 hour window as promised--and they called 30 minutes prior to the actual delivery. They plugged the TV in to make sure it worked before they asked me to sign anything. Very professional.
So, it took a total 2 weeks and 2 days from the order to actual delivery. However, it was the longest couple weeks because I was so excited and, like most Americans, I'm usually not very patient. Love the TV will rate it extremely high on a different TV review site.
What would I have done different? With 20/20 hindsight, I think I would have paid the $80, or so, for white glove and a 3D cable just for the HOPE of cutting delivery time down. However, I just got the TV yesterday and I'm alread starting to think "Hey, I saved the additional $80".
Bottomline, I will definitely buy from East Coast again. If you can wait 2 weeks, buy from East Coast. If not, buy from a brick and mortar. I love buying online and it's definitely worth the wait. You may want to consider upgrading to white glove when they call to confirm your order and they discount the price.
Based on other reviews, pay with a credit card and forego the 2 perecent discount. I have to guess paying by certified check only extends the delivery time. Also, most credit card companies double the manufacturer's 1 year warranty. Also, check their prices often. They, and the other online companies, changed the price at least 20 times during the 2 week period. Currently, it's $200 higher now ($2,593) than when I bought it. Finally, check their delivery area. They have a delivery map on their website, but it takes a few extra clicks to find it and they cover half the CONUS states (and I got lucky). If your area isn't included, the other reviews indicate FEDEX is the delivery company and you will probably have to pay delivery insurance. I'm not sure FEDEX will wait for you to turn the TV on at delivery. You can tell from their reviews that they have excellent customer service, but they appear to still experience some growing pains. I hope this review helps you. I'm very satisfied.

"I was in the market for a new TV. Searching online, I found the Samsung un60es7500 tv I wanted to buy. Comparing prices with East Coast TVs and big box stores, it saves me roughly $750. I was worried about purchasing online, but the website was easy to use, the item had free shipping and arrived in 12 days. I was willing to wait a couple weeks to save that much cash. It arrived ok and the TV works great. Overall very happy with my experience with East Coast TVs."
