Buyer Beware! ***UPDATE*** I received a call from Tony, who identified himself as the manager. He said he would honor the price of $2854 and a 10ft HDMI cable with white glove in home delivery. He asked for my credit card info again, so I am going out on a limb to extend him trust to honor this order. If Tony is good on his word, I will revise my rating accordingly."
"this is the first EVER review i've written about a purchase (outside of ebay). i bought a brand new canon dslr camera from East Coast TV. i have never bought anything from them before, and did not know they existed. i found them through a google search and bought site unseen, just trusting the process.
i ordered the camera late in the day on 11/19/2012, they shipped it 11/20/2012, and today is the day after thanksgiving before noon, and it just arrived.

"After writing a negative review I was contacted by the company’s manager Toni. He was very committed and trying “to make me happy”. So, I am trying to detail my review and re-formulate it in a more neutral way:
My personal experience with ordering from EastCoastTVs.com was not optimal.
I ordered a Sony 46" TV (KDL46HX750). They called me after two days, telling me that this device is not available and that they would send me a better one for the same price instead. OK, fine, I paid and waited.
Announced delivery time was 5-10 business days. First time I called was one week after my order, asking for a tracking number: They told me tracking is not available but "the order is on its way, my friend". After the second week I started to call regularly. Every time the same: "Your delivery will arrive soon, but we don't know when."
After four weeks I cancelled the order. I got my money back within 4 days.

After submitting my review I read through the other reports and realized that everyone sending in negative comments gets a call from the manager of EastCoastTVs.com and is ask to 'correct' it.

As expected Toni , the manager of EastCoastTVs.com called me right away. He expressed his sorrow about my bad experience. He was friendly, extremely caring and tried everything to turn my negative experience into a better one.
So, I can’t change the facts. I ordered the TV, I called them 15 times to get an update on the status and I eventually gave up after 4 weeks.
I understand that mistakes happen everywhere and nobody is perfect. But in my opinion the company’s policy dealing with such mistakes is not OK. My advice is that if you order there and there is some delay, talk to Toni directly. If he is as caring as he was to me after my review, chances are not bad that your problem gets resolved.
If everything gets done and you can wait some time to get your order, you certainly got it at a very low price. No doubt about that.
BTW: His explanation for the extremely long and eventually unsuccessful delivery was this: “The delivery company got the address wrong. They tried to deliver and then returned my order back to the company. There, they had to reschedule the delivery which was difficult, because their warehouse was closed due to the NY hurricane.” Well, I don’t want to comment on the likeliness of this chain of events. But if it really happened that way, I would have appreciated if they had told me the truth on the phone, instead of telling me that everything is fine and on its way. That was certainly not true.

"After reviewing East Coast TVs on line and reading all recent reviews I have decided to place an order for a New Sharp LC70LE847U. The final deciding factor was price, price and price after satisfying myself that this is a legit business. I am a fraud investigator who recently retired, so generally I am very cautious in placing orders online.
The order was place on Nov. 10, 2012. I checked their delivery area and unlike some reviews here on reseller ratings, I found that I am within their delivery area, which I assume is based on availability of warehouses from which a product can be shipped.
As of today, Saturday the Sabbath, they are closed and reopen on Sunday. I like folks who profess a belief and abide by the faith that tell me a lot about their basic honesty.
I will keep this review up to date as the order progresses, and will select an overall rating on completion of this order.
11/18/12- Still waiting for the TV which is has been enroute from New York since the 13th, at this point it has only been four working days since shipped. The carrier for the TV is AM home delivery and East Coast sent me a link to AM's site that has tracking information. Patiently waiting.
11/20/12 - Product was delivered today. The delivery company called twice yesterday, and the driver called this morning. Two men unloaded, unpacked and checked out the TV. Outstanding delivery service.
Final comments, East Coast TVs more that performed exactly what they said they would do. Delivery was exactly 10 days from the date of order. The TV is outstanding, was delivered in Factory New Condition. Their communications are outstanding and I would not hesitate to do business with them again.

The only concerns I had were that the shipping and insurance costs I incurred were unexpected and the delivery service they used in Jacksonville, Florida delayed my product being delivered because they could not locate the box, which was in their warehouse, but apparently hard for them to find. Overall, this was a good expreience."

"I chose this reseller from Google because they had the best price and free shipping. They called me the day after I placed the order to say that free shipping will take 4 weeks, but for extra $120 they can get it to me from a different warehouse in just one week. Talk about bait and switch. Then they also charged me $40 shipping insurance without discussing it with me. After all that, they basically used a guy with a van for their shipping, and it still took two weeks for the TV to arrive.
On top of it all, there is something wrong with the TV right out of the box. The picture is too glitchy, and the skin tones are way off. When I called to ask about returns or exchanges, they said they don't do that for TVs. So I had to call Samsung for a service call for a brand new TV right out of the box.
Overall, horrible experience with this reseller. Would NOT recommend this reseller to your worst enemies.
ADDENDUM on 11/8/12:
Got a phone call from Tony. He voiced concern about the bad rating. I will temporarily change my review to neutral since I am waiting for Samsung repair person to come and inspect the TV. Pending his professional opinion about the status of the TV, Tony agreed to work with me to make sure I will be satisfied with my purchase. "
