"I will never place another order with Eastbay.com ever again for a pretty good reason. I order through their website and I thought everything was going to go through fine because I've done a lot of online shopping for Black Friday. They were the ONLY merchant to ask for verification over the phone. I had no problem with doing this and so I called them up. The wait time was absolutely ridiculous. When I tried verifying the information with them, they told me that one of the the pieces of information I was providing them wasn't working correctly. This wasn't the problem. I called my bank up to go through the process of making sure everything was going through okay. I called Eastbay.com's payment verification department again and got a new representative. I gave them the new information and they said they still weren't able to verify the information. Now they've cancelled the order completely. At that point, I was a little upset.
So I try placing a new order after calling my bank up for a second time to verify EVERYTHING on the account. Their Live Chat told me that my order was being withheld and needed to be verified again. I call them up and they just flat-out tell me that my order was cancelled because of the last transaction and that I would NEED and ONLY have the option of using Western Union to ever get anything approved.
Needless to say, I will NEVER be doing business with this ridiculous merchant ever again."
"I read all the negative reviews hear after already placing my order and was worried that I'd made a mistake. I normally wouldn't write about a positive experience, but thought I would in this case given all the negative reviews here.
I ordered two pairs of name brand sneakers, one for my son and one for me. The prices were way less than the sale price at the big online shoe store, and I could get both pairs for about the same price as one pair at retail. I received a shipping notification within about 24 hours and just received both pairs of shoes less than a week after placing the order. Both pairs are perfect (they are different styles and sizes), had never been worn or tried on, and had no defects whatsoever. My son and I are both very happy with our sneakers and the transaction."
"Disappointed. I ordered two pairs of shoes from EastBay on Saturday morning & the package was delivered to me in Australia on Thursday afternoon. Unfortunately only 1 pair of shoes was in the package. I sent an email complaint as soon as I received the package & received almost an instantaneous response saying that it could take up to 10 days to investigate my complaint. 1 week later they let me know the product I ordered was out of stock and offered me a full refund. I asked that half the postage be refunded as well as I wouldn't have paid $40 postage to get a single item, I was happy to pay $40 for 2 items but not 1. They agreed to this and I am currently waiting for the funds to be refunded to my credit card. Whilst the matter was resolved satisfactorily I still wouldn't ever risk ordering with them again as such issues seem to be commonplace."
"I will never shop from Eastbay.com again. I placed an order and shortly after that I received an email that my order was backordered until at least 8/15. Ok no big deal. Just to see if I could get the product quicker somewhere else I looked around. On 8/13 I found and ordered from someone that had the product in stock. I called Eastbay the same day and was told that I could not cancel my order, even though it had NOT been shipped. They told me I would have to wait until I receive the product and ship it back. WHAT?!?!?!?"
"Despite all the negative reviews, I decided to give Eastbay a try. I ordered 4 pairs of shoes on a Saturday and my order was processed the very next day. I eventually received the package 5 days later, in good condition with all the right sizes and colours, which was such a surprise since I'm in Australia and it was coming from the US. I am very happy with their service. I didn't expect the shoes to arrive so soon! And their products are at a reasonable price, too (cheaper than in Aussie stores, anyway). I am definitely shopping there again, and hopefully I won't run into the trouble other people have."
"Even after reading all the negative reviews, I still recently purchased 2 pairs of Nike indoor soccer boots and I couldn't be happier! I live in Australia and was doubtful reading other reviews of quick shipping but like another guy, I ordered on Friday afternoon and by the following Wednesday (5days later) they were at my door. The $40 international shipping cost sounds pricey but even with that included, it's still A LOT cheaper than buying here in WA. Not to take away from anyone that has had a bad experience in the past but I think generally, more people will post negative reviews because they're upset, whereas the happy customers will typically carry on like normal without leaving a review.. So don't be discouraged - like any business, they'll have their hiccups but I will certainly buy from them again!"
"Abysmal customer service. I returned qty 4 of shorts size L for same qty of shorts size XL (this was VERY CLEARLY MARKED on the return request). Instead, I received qty 1 of XL and qty 2 of XXL. Again returned the qty 2 of XXL, requesting the shorts I had originally asked for. They sent me qty 1 of XXL. Despite repeated clear emails from me, all I received in return were confused, garbled, or incomplete correspondence. Eastbay is unable to understand a simple request. They are unwilling to fix the problems they created. I would not do business with Eastbay again."

Found Eastbay (and this review site) while looking for a pair of shoes online. Living in Australia, we are completely overcharged for any decent sneakers, high tops or sports shoes. Eastbays prices are incredibly good value and their online store is very friendly to navigate.
As their pricing was so reasonable, I ended up purchasing 2 pairs of shoes at 7.20pm on a Friday evening. Astoundingly, I received a UPS tracking number within 24 hours and a knock at my front door on Tuesday morning (4 days later) with the UPS guy handing me over my package! The brown carton box was in perfect shape having travelled across the globe and more importantly my order was correct, intact and PERFECT.
Eastbay, I love you guys. I will never be buying shoes here in Australia ever again. You guys rock my (online) world! Thank you!"
"Paid a lot of money to get faster shipping, it's still taking over a week to come in because they didn't ship it out for 3-4 days. They came out with a 20% coupon a couple days after my order, before i even received the product. I asked if i could apply the coupon to my order, customer service Ann told me no. Do they want me to return it just so i can reorder it with the coupon? Awful. Will not be dealing with this !$*) again there's plenty of other sporting good sites with much better service."

"FANTASTIC!!!! I live in Australia, and before I ordered I had read all the comments on here. I was sceptical, but where else in Australia could I get the range of shoes available on Eastbay.com? So I took the gamble and jumped on their chat-live service to consultant Mary W. She told me that they ship within a day as soon as money transaction goes through and also assured me that my size was in stock for the 3 types of shoes that I wished to order. She was polite, helpful and assuring. I decided to go through with the order although I was feeling rather pessimistic. Within 12 hours, I received an email to say that the order was processed and it was awaiting pick up from UPS. It was great being able to see the progress of the order making its way from Wisconsin all the way to my front door step in Brisbane, Australia via UPS tracking.
4 Business days later, my shoes arrived. All of them the correct size, boxed.
Prices for each shoe were much, much cheaper than purchasing them here in Australia even after postage was added.
Postage was a little at the high end, but well worth it.
Definitely going to buy from them again.

I requested to cancel my order , when the item has not even shipped! and they refuse to refund my money or cancel the order. what kind of business can not return the customer their hard earned money? bunch of money hungry ass holes, they cant get enough money up their ass that they have to steal from their own customers! WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO " THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT"?. Did they forget a happy customer means they will be a returning customer as well. Now I am here stuck waiting to receive the item ordered and return the shoes and hope these horrible uneducated people do not charge me for shipping when I am giving my all to cancel the order as it is. Worse they did not get my correct address and they do not want to correct it, they say i have to take it up with the UPS. But how? when the item has not shipped!!!!
the whole reason for canceling my order is i placed it on Wednesday and i chose the option of a 2-day shipping. i called customer service and said i would receive the item on tuesday! how is a 2-day shipping service turn into a 4-day shipping? slow slow slow slow slow retarded shipping.

"Prices are good. I used the option for 3-4 days so the item could get to the destination earlier for my friend's birthday. But it took them 2 days to start shipping it from their location, this is really slow. Amazon usually ships same or next day.
So when he got it, it was the wrong pair of shoes. So I called and they arranged to reship the correct pair. I thought they would do like a free shipping upgrade to 2 days or something like that, but it was at the same speed.
I'm kinda bummed with their service. But I guess not every company is like Amazon.
Order from them if you're not in a hurry and don't mind waiting."
