"Ordered a Toshiba DVD Recorder with Series2 TiVo 120GB DVR on 1/10 at 8:00pm and received it 1/12 a 5:30pm (a day before promised).I found following the order/shipping process very easy. I was a little nervous about ordering from Ebuyer due to the mixed reviews but gave it a shot because the the price. This was my first purchase from Ebuyer and am very happy with it. Would (will) order from them again if they have what Im looking for and the price is rite.
It looked like talking to a human could be a chore but I had no need to.

"I ordered a Samsung TFT monitor and a couple of low value items on 4th January. The 2 low value items arrived OK on the 10th as promised but no TFT monitor.
Ebuyer's website showed 3 parcels as part of the City Link consignment. I contacted City Link who only have 2 parcels in the consignment. As they have delivered the goods as described they are happy.
Ebuyer show all 3 parcels delivered, each organisation's paperwork makes sense to them and they are all happy, the only fly in the ointment is that I have paid £320 for a monitor I haven't received. I have left an enote query about this but expect no answer given the opinions recorded here. I wouldn't order anything of value from this bunch of wide boys as it looks like I will need to spend many hours over many weeks to get my money back. Its pure and simple theft in my opinion and I may yet report it to the Police as such.
Recomendation Don't get your bargepole within 100 miles of these people, they stink. Just to be clear, I don't blame the staff, just the owner."
"My apologies to Ebuyer US. Unfortunately I don't know is Ebuyer US and Ebuyer UK the same company or not, I am just going to post my review at the right place."
"I purchased a 1GB CompactFlash card. Great price, great service. Sent an e-note and it was answered within one hour. Item arrived promptly."
"I've ordered plenty from ebuyer and had 0 problems.
A fantastic company!"
"Staggeringly disapointing customer service. Despite offering some of the cheapest prices around shopping here poses a risk if things go wrong.
After purchasing from ebuyer three times in 2004 I am no longer inclined to buy from them again. The revelation about ebay came when my DVD writer became faulty. They now seem to be ignoring my messages to them. My enote of 15th Dec 04 is still 'open' and has not been dealt with. The enote before that (21/10/04) was closed by ebuyer without any reply after a two week wait.
So if you're thinking of spending serious money on computer equipment and think you can save money, think what it may cost if things go wrong."
"DO NOT MAKE A PURCHASE FROM THIS SITE. THEY HAVE CHARGED ME FOR THE WRONG ITEM DELIVERED AND ARE INCONTACTABLE."
"These people are UNBELIEVABLE!
I have been shopping online for over 5 years now and I have never ordered anything from a more UNCARING about customers company, as this one.
I ordered an Iomega zip drive and although the order arrived rapidly; it was not a zip drive. It was an inexpensive game for a gameboy that I could buy for $11.00. When I go back to the site to contact them; I find they use an "Enote"
system.
After numerous enote postings and answers; I finally get told I can print a RMA receipt online. I find that if I use it, I will have to pay the return postage. It also states in their return policy agreement that if I don't make sure it goes insured and certified, I may not be able to prove they got it back. Then I find that the return postage will cost ME two-thirds of the price of the wrong item to send it back.
Finding this ludicrous, I call information for the two addresses for this company I have
(One on the package and the other inside), and neither state has a listing for this business. I call my Credit Card company and they say I need to try and make human contact with the company before they will file a dispute. They give me two long distance phone numbers they show.
One produces a Intertel Processing number that leads to a female voice that has me leave a message. Of course, I get no return call. The other is forwarded to a voice mail with a message that this number doesn't subscribe to this service.
Today, I finally reach someone at the number online and am on the long distance phone call long enough that all my toked up charges now exceed the value of the piece of junk they sent me. She claims she'll send me an email with a printable receipt with postage that I can use to send this item back.
(I have yet to receive this and am not holding my breath). I tell her that I have decided that I no longer want the original item (ZIP DRIVE I ORDERED) and she says that they don't have it anyway as it's been discontinued. Naturally, nobody had told me this before either.
She asks what they are supposed to do and I say that if they were a good company they would tell me to keep the junk they sent for all my trouble. She says she's sorry I feel that way.
I am going to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau in Chandler, Arizona and will probably end up letting my Credit card Company file a dispute with them. I will also rate them at any online site I can find to try and make people aware of this companies practices BEFORE they make a purchase.
I guess it's another case of E Caveat Emptor--Let the Buyer BEWARE!! "
"I ordered a digital camera and memory card from ebuyer on 18/12/04 as a christmas present for my wife. Recieved an email on 22/12/04 stating that the camera was discontinued so they would not be sending it, they did post the memory card (not much use without the camera). Why did it take 4 days for them to discover they didn't have the camera leaving me no time to order from elsewhere. Tried enote to them but no reply. Amazingly they are still showing the camera Casio EZ-X40 as being in stock on their web site 27/12/04. I will not be purchasing from them again and would advise others not to."
"If everything works ebuyer is OK. If it goes wrong, particularly since you can no longer call them, they have become a nightmare. It is now over 3months since I returned a video card for a warranty repair. Broken promises, no resposnses to complaints - you can't escalate the problem since you only have 1 email address. Site says they are making huge improvements in service - what a joke!"
"I got charged an extra £25 for some reason on my order. £15 of that was then refunded but what about the other £10? Whats going on? I complained, they apologised said they'd refund the difference. A month passes, nothing done. I compain again, am told "it was already refunded", I complain again, "no it wasn't", they say "sorry It will be done", still nothing.. this happens again and again. In the end I have SIX emails lying to me and to this day have STILL not been refunded money they took from my credit card without authorisation. I finally get angry and request this 'total moron' Dave Moss stop dealing with it and it be passed onto a manager, when he has the cheek to say "if I am rude again they will terminate my account!" What do they expect when they lie again and again and again.
I finally ring up to complain and get given the run around by John Morris (the supervisor) as he explains how it's not Dave's fault etc etc. I expected an apology but the main focus seems to be "how dare I be rude?" When they have shown me so little respect by deceiving me SIX times. Unbelievable. Incidentally this is not a one off. In the past I have even had to threaten legal action to get money back from ebuyer and many of my friends have similar horror stories.
You buy choose to buy from EBuyer cos they are cheap box shifters, but buyer beware. IF they 'accidentally' overcharge you, or you have other problems, DO NOT expect ANY support. They just do NOT care! Buy Cheap, pay Twice! is the EBuyer M.O"
"Order still to be delivered, even thought promised delivery was 10 December 2004. Payment already taken. First E-Note closed without an answer after +-8Days. Second E-note is 5 days without reply"
"Absolutely excellent merchant. I ordered a printer using the cheapest shipping method and received it the next day! Also, there was an error in the item description on the web page. To make up for it they overnighted me an ethernet-usb print server at no charge to make up for it. I will definitely order from them again."
"I am completely satisfied with ebuyer US. I ordered a Logitech MOMO steering wheel from them and I got a email from them with a tracking number. I ordered it on the 7th of Dec and received it on the 9th of Dec. That was fast shipping and they shipped FedEx. I would do business with them again."
"I was recently obliged to shop at Ebuyer for some component we required. After my card was debited £5000 they decided to ship me 10 boxes of 1 DVD writer rather than 10 boxes of 10. As far as Ebuyer were concerned the problem was with my and their courier. They shipped 11 boxes, we received 11 boxes, and I was £4500 down. Their approach to customer service is laughable, I have never experienced a more infuriating and contemptuous approach to meeting my needs, locating the missing product and/or getting me my money back. IT IS NOT THE FAULT OF THE STAFF, WHO SEEMED TO BE DOING ALL THEY COULD, HOWEVER THERE PROCESSES LEAVE THEM PARALYSED, thanks amanda and keeley. I would advise anyone that is serious about making a purchase from a professioanl company to Steer Clear of EBUYER. Especailly if, you want to receive the product within the timeframe you pay for, expect to receive the product your ordered, expect to be able to resolve the problems EBUYER experience with your order quickly and easily. I understand their target for 2005 is to double their turnover - God help the consuming public, dont be tempted by low prices and a good looking website - you will find that you are buying into a longterm realtionship that will bring endless pain and suffering, financial loss and a sort of worried anxious feeling that is difficult to shake."
