"I wanted a powerful workstation-class laptop, but I wasn't finding the horsepower I wanted at the usual suspects (Dell, Lenovo, Apple, etc.).

I saw Eluktronics and was initially reluctant as I'd never heard of them and they don't have much presence on YouTube, Toms Hardware, or other big sites. I found a few reddit posts from happy users, which started to sway me. Then I contacted customer service and they told me there is a 3-day period for free returns and I was sold.

"COPY OF MY REVIEW FROM AMAZON....I bought a basics Eluktronics laptop because it was the only reasonably priced laptop with a blue ray DVD filling a key hole in the offerings of the establishment laptop makers. Those bigcorps only offer blue ray DVD in expensive overly bloated and expensive gaming laptop models with all the bigcorp more economical laptops lacking blue ray dvd as an option. I personally hate to have to carry around a stand alone usb DVD player which is what all the bigcorp companies said I should do. Every single bigcorp followed that same misguided strategy. "Buy one of our over a thousand dollar gaming computers or carry around a separate DVD drive." Every single one. No wonder they are like lemmings off to the sea wondering how Apple beat them. Those morons at the big companies assume anyone who might want to watch a movie on their laptop is a gamer. The fact is lots of movies on DVD are only on blue ray now or that’s what’s at hand, or if you just like movies you mostly have blue ray. Many a time one gets in a place with dicey internet and one doesn’t want to have a bad internet experience ruin your only time to relax and watch a good movie. I can hear the bigcorp silicon valley, left brained numbers crunchies saying, “if they can’t afford to buy one of our gaming computers, they can play solitaire.”
So it was I came to buy an economy Eluktro for 600 dollars which included my first electronic hard drive. I have been thrilled with this computer. If you have a technical question, you can actually talk to a person who has a name and knows everyone in the company and gives you unfiltered advice if you have a technical problem. Mine was Mike and he was by the best support person I have ever talked to at any computer company and I have been buying laptops when windows was only one of four master PC programs and only the third best. As far as the computer itself is concerned, I even didn’t mind windows 10. The Electro Laptop has handled all of my programs quickly with no trouble at all. And the speed owing to the electronic drive is awesome. Way better than my 2000 dollar Lenovo which I like owing to its small size from a few years ago. The Elucktronics lapto is exactly what I had hoped for. I highly recommend this laptop and Computer Company.
