"I really don't know how Fedex stays in business. They never deliver on time, they ship your package all over the country before it gets to you. I would choose UPS anytime over Fedex."
"I receive a good number of deliveries at my residence throughout the year. Vast majority are handled by UPS, which has always been very reliable and timely. The few deliveries from FedEx are almost never so. It seems the drivers, when they don't feel like making the delivery, create a false excuse, such as: "Nobody home to accept delivery" when there definitely is someone home. The best is when you expect a delivery for which you must sign. Staying home all day waiting is inconvenient, to say the least, but we make it happen, only to learn at the end of the day that FedEx is not coming because the address on the parcel is wrong. A call to customer service and the shipper confirmed the address to be correct! I also requested email updates about the delivery and was told the driver would call with approximate time of delivery. None of that happened. Customer service is absolutely useless, even when the rep has a good command of the English language, which does occasionally happen. Whenever I have the opportunity, I tell the shipper to use anyone except FedEx. The way they run their business is incomprehensible to me. That they still are in business boggles the mind. I could keep going on and on..."
"I want to preface this by saying in 2018, we have cars that drive themselves, yet Fedex can't seem to understand how terrible their service is. After ordering a $1500 monitor, I was only notified THE DAY BEFORE that it would require a signature. I actually work during the day, unlike the people at this company, so no one will be home. I had to call 4 separate numbers all telling me to call someone else, and at the end of being thrown around, I get an Indian guy who I can't understand, who tells me that in order to change my delivery address or date, I have to contact the company I bought it from! Are they making this up? I've never heard of such a convoluted system. Their website is absolutely terrible and literally serves no purpose. It displays completely incorrect info about who is shipping and doesn't allow the user to do or change anything. They also have no public phone numbers to contact, so you have to speak to a robot or a dumber than a robot indian person if you want to "attempt" to achieve anything.
I understand requiring a signature, I do, but Fedex needs to understand that I REFUSE to change my schedule on a dime, or take a day off sitting around twiddling my thumbs simply because they don't notify me that a package will or won't require a signature until THE DAY BEFORE. They won't let you change the address or delay the shipment, so you're stuck wondering what kind of hellish limbo your package worth hundreds or thousands of dollars will end up in.
I'm actually impressed with how poorly designed their system is and how difficult they make it to find out anything or get anything done about changing your package. It's impossible. I would rather go to China and work in a sweatshop making the product myself, then swim back home, than to have Fedex even touch my next order. Absolutely pathetic, and I will make a point today of spending as much time posting this review everywhere, as I did wasting my day on the phone getting absolutely nothing accomplished. My advice? Burn the entire company to the ground and don't start over, let the nice folks over at UPS do it right the first time. FU."
"I stayed home 3 days in a row waiting for this package. I still didn't recieve it. I left notes on my door, my phone number to call, and eventually even bought a doorbell for this package and the delivery was still unsuccessful! This will be the LAST TIME I EVER USE FEDEX FOR DELIVERY!!!!! IM FURIOUS!!!!! My experience was unacceptable. I would give Fedex a no star if possible. "
"promised to deliver a package on a date change request and never did even though they charged my account for it; they did not cal to let me know either; charged me customs fees for returned personal property; the worst shipping company there is, the worst service for the highest costs."
"It’s very annoying that fedex is very irresponsible and lose important packages of customers. And they are inconsiderate of their mistakes."
"I bought a phone and speaker from UK, the package came opened and resealed with FedEx tape, phone was lost! Dishonest service... :("
"Package delivered to unknown location. Seller sent out a replacement. We asked them to hold it at the Fed ex facility for pick up three times all three times they sent it back out on the truck even with half a dozen phone calls from myself and the seller. I will NEVER use Fed ex for ANYTHING . Two weeks and our second package is still missing . Apparently it is joy riding on various trucks with no destination. Incompetent employees just keep passing it around. I dont understand how a business can operate this way."
"Unbelievably disappointing service, my package was shipped to me on September 29th and today is October 15th and we still haven't received it,nobody from Fedex calls or follows up, just terrible can't even get in touch with corporate office, i just want my package you ediots."
"Omg this has got to be the most incompetent company in existance. My husband is running around now trying to figure out where a driver left a $600 package that was supposed to be delivered today. Apparently the apt # was wrong on our package but there is no existing apt with the number that was on it...so apparently the driver just took it upon himself to just leave it at some random place. We call customer service numerous times and all we get is "oh sorry we'll investigate and get back to you in 48 hrs!!! In the meantime our merchandise is gone!!! So theres no protocol for packages when theres no existing address??? Aside from not being able to understand any of the customer service people this place is absolutely worthless!! I will never use fed ex again!!! Oh and maybe you should hire some employees with half a brain who can read simple **** numbers...just a thought!! "
"I had a package which supposed to be delivered on Tuesday 10/2. FedEx emails said the delivery would be between 10am-4pm. It did not come within the window. Later the day, the update posted by FedEx said that the delivery failed because on one at home to sign the document, even though we did not hear anyone knock our door or ring the bell. Ok, FedEx said it would try the next day, between 10am-4pm. Again, no one came within the window. Then the driver came after we went out for dinner. So, the delivery was not successful. On Thursday, again, FedEx did not come within the 10am-4pm window as they said. To ensure that we could get the package, I told the security person of the apartment to pay special attention to FedEx delivery, and we did not use our home phone just in case FedEx might call us, FedEx customer service even promised me that they had given the driver my cell phone so that the driver could call me just in case. I thought we would be able to get the delivery this time for sure. We waited till 8pm. No one came. And, the tracking update changed, saying that the delivery failed because no one at home to sign! It was totally a lie!!! I called customer service. They apologized again, and suggested me to pick up from their delivery site. I agreed even though it was so annoying because I needed my stuff desperately. FedEx promised me the package would be on the site before 7pm Friday. I waited, and waited, but did not get noticing phone call from FedEx. I then called FedEx, and was told that it would take 20-48 hours to deliver to their site from the time I told them I agreed to pick it up. Thus, I would only be able to get it on Saturday. I was very mad, but had no choice. However, on Saturday (today), I kept tracking my package. FedEx web site always said the package was not ready to be picked up, but also said it would be delivered on Saturday to the location. It came to 7:30pm, the information was still the same. I decided to call again. Then, I WAS TOLD THAT IT COULD NOT BE DELIVERED TODAY. IT CAN ONLY BE DELIVERED ON MONDAY. THE REASON I WAS GIVEN WAS THAT SATURDAY WAS NOT BUSINESS DAY! But, it was FedEx's website that said the package would be delivered on Saturday to the designated location. So, either the FedEx website was lying or the representative was lying! FedEx does not know if they work on Saturday or not?! I asked for an explanation, but the representative only repeated that it could be delivered on Monday, and no explanation. It is really a horrible experience with FedEx. Not only they can not deliver the service they promised, but kept fooling consumers. They are lack of any sincerity, lack of professional attitude. The driver they employed was not an honest person. The company does not respect their customers at all. I just have no word for FedEx. I will never use FedEx again. "
"In what world is it logical to send a package from a hub 2 miles from my post office halfway across the state? The delivery date is estimated a week from now, yet a day ago I was literally within walking distance of the hub my package was at. Not only are you wasting time and resources, you're clearly proving that quality customer service means absolutely nothing to your company. When I contacted fedex with my concerns, the response I got was lazy. "Well it was shipped with SmartPost, and SmartPost can take up to a week." Excuse me? Again, how is that logical when in 1.5 days my package came all the way from Florida to Colorado. Fedex is complete trash run by lazy thieves. Stick to UPS. Even their cheapest shipping service will have your stuff arriving much sooner than the most expensive fedex ones."
"This has GOT to be the worst shipping I have ever seen! Ten days to deliver? Not just slow but stupid and irresponsible. Here's why.
Tracking history says this package was picked up 09/19 in Indiana, on Wednesday 09/26 it was in a city 400 miles further the other way.The truck HAD to go my home, a large regional hub of over 500,000 people where I know they have a hub. But FedEx bypassed it. When the package arrived in their chosen hub on Thursday tracker said it would be delivered Friday 09/28, and was not. Instead FedEx elected to mail it to me. Shipper could have done just that in the first place and I would have had this package in 3 working days - at the same price or cheaper. I wish they had!
What I would have been normal and expected is this: picked up by FedEx 09/20, at first regional hub, likely either Indianapolis or Chicago, on 09/21 at my city's hub 09/24 and delivered 09/25 - 6th calendar day. That did not happen. What did happen was not some unavoidable or accidental delay, but simple stupidity. Worse still they handed my package to someone else to do so what I paid for them to do.
To compound matters FedEx has no concept of the receiver as customer. I tried to send them feedback but the email link on their tracking website would not allow to send as two required database fields would not accept the link's own formatting. After 45 minutes on the phone with "customer service"and 3 people including a manager, I was told that this particular delivery pathway was requested by the sender. Patently ludicrous! I'm sure shipper requested ground shipment, but that does not equate to this stupidity. I was also told that customer service did not have any alternate email to phone number to communicate with the company, the customer service manager did not have an email for purposes of getting that alternate info, and to call back and speak to someone else on Monday. I've worked customer service for a major corporation and this kind of response would have been grounds for dismissal. I've had other issues with FedEx from the receiver end before - no delivery on Saturday, pickups end at 4:30 weekdays, no way to request a different delivery date or location unless shipper requests. And similar "we can't help you" on the phone. I've actually had packages returned because of this kind of blind inflexibility. Clearly to FedEx the only customer they see is the shipper.
This kind of stupidity should never be rewarded. From now on I will request any and all shippers to use ABSOLUTELY ANYONE but FedEx -regardless of cost. I will also recommend you and any other company I do business with adopt the same policy."
"Package number 1: toss on the sidewalk yet reported that it was delivered on my front door.
Package number 2: also on the sidewalk during the rain
Package number 3: FedEx rang the doorbell for a required signature and then ran away within one second thinking I wasn't home. I ran to the door and opened it within four seconds, but he was already back in his truck. I had to YELL at him as he was driving away at the top of my lungs screaming, "I'm HERE! I'm HERE!". He stopped and delivered the package in a sheepish way. Wow! Seriously?! I have to scream like a mad person?!"
"Everything is wrong with fed ex they don't deliver your packages on time...I had a package delivered today and didn't even know it came I had been tracking it all last week and it finally came and he didn't ring the door nor knock I didn't even know it had came and it was raining and he just left my package out in the rain...never again will I order something knowing it's coming on fed ex...I love ups, Everytime my package come on fed ex something always goes wrong"
