When I ordered the tv, there was also a discount on shipping which was great! Recently, I misplaced my receipt and had to contact customer service. "I ordered a camcorder and received confirmation email saying: "Please allow 24-72 hours for order processing".
After 72 hour nothing happened so I have canceled the order and sent them message explaining my cancellation.
Next I have received very friendly and highly professional phone call from Mr. Bittman apologizing for the issue and offering very fair compensation for free.

"Update- The camera I ordered was not as advertised. It was supposed to be a brand new factory sealed Nikon D300 camera, but what they shipped appeared to be a rebuilt model in a scared plastic bag, and stuffed in a blank white box. After many calls to customer service and getting put on hold and re-directed to the so called proper person to deal with this issue, they finally told me they could not supply me with a new factory sealed model as advertised, so they then tried to have me accept the order as is, and they would throw in an extended warranty. I declined and after way to much time they offered me a full refund. At my expense, I sent it back on 4/29 for a full refund. Here it is-Three weeks later I'm still waiting for my refund ($2,199.00). I just called my credit card company to file a complaint. I hope they can get this straitened out!!

Original Review: Today I ordered a Nikon D300 camera package from FotoConnection.com. When I called to confirm the order I received assistance from a phone representative in about 5 minutes- that seems acceptable. I did however get pressure from him to buy an additional battery, which I broke down and bought it thinking I will probably need one- I don't mind kicking in for an extra battery when I believe I'm getting a very good deal on the overall camera package. That being said, I'm a little worried now after reading some of the reviews here. I hope I'm getting a brand new factory sealed USA model camera, that is fully functional and not damaged (all this was confirmed to be the case by the phone representative). I should be receiving shipment in a couple of days and I'll follow up with a complete review.

"So, I ordered a Nikon D40 kit. Ordering was easy, but they wouldn't ship it to me until I confirmed the order. So, I called to confirm the order. Then they kept pushing other items--things that would normally be included with the camera--like the battery and charger. and other stuff that is way overpriced, like an SD card for $40 ($5 on Amazon) I told them I just wanted the kit I ordered. The guy says OK.

10 days later I called back because from the order status it looks like it hasn't shipped yet (nevermind that the site says it ships within 24 hours) and again they try pushing their overpriced stuff. This time the guy says that the camera I ordered is the "grey market" (no warranty) item and that I should warranty for $100 (nevermind that it was advertised at $379 and Best Buy could sell me the camera with warranty and battery for $450.

I told the operator that this sounded like a "bait and switch" and he hung up on me.

They will not ship the item to you unless they can tack on an overpriced warranty or charge you extra for batteries that are otherwise already in the box. You can't just buy the item advertised on the website.

"I placed the order and was told the product was in stock. Four days later, there was still no tracking number, so I called and found out the lens I ordered was out of stock.

Every person I spoke with at that company was rude, they couldn't even estimate when the product would be available, and when I tried to ask a question about my order, I was repeatedly cut off.

I canceled the order on the spot and won't ever bother shopping there again.

"After looking at over 6 different websites. I kept coming back to FotoConnection. They had the best choice of kits to go with the Nikon D90 body that I was looking for. I received a call prior to delivery letting me know which day it would arrive and to be sure some one was there since it was an expensive item. Everything was packed well and was included as stated. I needed to replace one item because it broke during shipping and they had a new one in the mail that day. Superb service, and great to deal with customer service. "
