"On March 26,2009, I purchased a new Canon Powershot SD1100 IS digital camera. The experience I had dealing with PhotoConnection was great. "I am thrilled with the customer service that I have received from Fotoconnection! Andy (ext 2071) went above and beyond to help me with my order. I bought a Canon 450D for my husband for our anniversary, and the box was missing the adaptor wire for the battery charger. Andy reviewed the order, helped me understand the parts of the camera/accessories, and so expeditiously shipped out a new charger to us, which should arrive tomorrow! "I was a little skeptical when I first placed my order due to the lack of familiarity with this company. I placed my order on the phone and received tracking numbers via e-mail a few days later. The new TV arrived one week after I placed the order. The delivery guys brought the TV into my living room and helped take it out of the box and place it on the stand (which they didn't have to do). Overall, a great experience."

"I recently placed an order for a Nikon D90 package through fotoconnection. I've got some mixed feelings about this company.

I have to agree with many of the reviewers that having to call someone to follow up on an order was odd, and the sales pitch to "upgrade" wasn't what I wanted to go through. The customer service was to the point but not rude. The service seemed rushed, but personally that didn't bother me.

I was wary about the negative reviews, and after my wife saw the reviews, she convinced me to cancel the order. When I mentioned this to their sales, I was immediately transferred to Daniel who modified my order a bit. It seemed I was getting upgrades, but to be honest, in the end I got a deal closer to being normal than a good buy.

The camera (d90)was in the original retail box, it's packaged lens removed because I had opted to go with other Nikkor lenses. I should have looked more closely at the lenses I bought ... as it turns out the lens that came packaged with the original bundle is worth more than both the ones I got combined.

I got a 70-300 AF lens (an older, slower one that can be found for less than $180) Thank god it works on the D90.

The prime 18-55 mm DX was fine. It wasn't the older one that came with the D40, but it's still not up to par with the standard lenses that come packaged with newer d90s. (around $180 online)

The extra battery, mem card, remote come in handy. everything else is really not worth anything, but it sounds nice.

In the end, Daniel shaved off some from the cost and told me he was not turning a profit, I really didn't buy that but figured I was getting an even sale vs. being ripped off. In that aspect, the experience was not as bad as it could have been had I gone through with my original order.

Did I get the best price for the best merchandise? ... no, and for that I'm disappointed (more at myself for missing details).

The next time I need camera equipment (and I may need to get another telephoto lens) I plan to avoid any online purchase and go local. I wouldn't mind going directly to fotoconnection's storefront the next time I'm in the City, but I'll have to know exactly what I'm looking for ... there's too much room for misinformation online.

"I would like everyone to know that my experience with FotoConnection.com was absolutely flawless. The sales rep was courteous and helpful. He did exactly what any good sales rep would do which was to try to add needed accessories. He was helpful in setting up a white gloves delivery to our home, and the addition of a 5 year warranty to cover our investment. The television was delivered and set up in our home within a week. The 58" TV was a gift for my husband, a soldier coming home from his 4th tour in Afghanistan. We love it, it's perfect. Thank you FotoConnection.com"

"Hi,
Just a note to say thanks for great service. I had ordered the Casio EXLIM z150 GN from another on line company, they took the order and shipped the camera. The day the camera was supposed to ARRIVE the company e-mailed me that they did not have that camera in stock so oh well no camera!. This was for my daughter 16th birthday, which was now happening in two days. I got on line again and found FotoConnection. I called in and spoke directly with service rep. Adam. He assured me he had the camera I wanted, in the green color I wanted with many accessories and would have it at my house the next day. I was skeptical at first but Adam was awesome, he promised delivery and came through on it. The camera with everything arrived the next day!! Also FotoConn. price was better!

"ORDERED A SAMSUNG DLP AND A MATCHING HOME THEATER SYSTEM. SET UP WAS A BREEZE, SUPER FRIENDLY SERVICE FROM EVERYONE, EVEN THE DELIVERY SERVICE. THE ORDERING PROCESS AND DELIVERY WAS SEAMLESS. "Never in my LIFE have I had someone be so rude to me, let alone someone who should be trying to keep my business!

After placing an order for the Canon XSi tonight, I went online and googled fotoconnection to check on the status of my order. Only then did I see all the websites warning against using this seller. As I read review after review, I decided that it wasn't worth the risk to wait out my order.

I called to cancel, and was yelled at and treated with so much disrespect that I am left flabbergasted. At one point the man I was speaking with (Tom) actually said to me "Don't try to play games with us, little girl. We invented the games." When I spoke with the "manager" and complained about the sales rep being rude to me, he said "That's his job." I asked, dumbfounded, "It's his job to be rude to me??" He said, "It's his job to keep your money." I am SHOCKED by the nerve and attitude of these people.

They said they are going to recharge me a 15% restocking fee, which is ridiculous...as restocking fees usually only apply to merchandise that has been shipped and opened. Obviously, my product was never shipped--no restocking is taking place. Infuriating. Do NOT do business with this company!!

"I purchased this microwave in September and for the first couple of months it worked great. However, it soon developed and annoying noise that comes from the turntable platter. The noise is a knocking sound associated with the platter spinning around. If you remove the platter from the microwave, the sound goes away. With the exception of this annoying noise, the microwave works quite well. It has a lot of power, cooks really fast and is easy to use. "

"This was my first experience with FotoConnection and I couldn't be more pleased. I placed my order for a Nikon D80 camera and 2 lenses on-line on Friday evening. On Monday morning I spoke with a sales rep to confirm my order. While he suggested some additional accessories and upgrades to my order, in no way did I feel pressured. In fact, I received a great deal more 'up sale' pressure from the sales people in 3 or 4 local camera stores where I was shopping for this camera. My complete order arrived in 2 days as promised. I got a great price from FotoConnection, and am very satisfied with their service and the merchandise received. I would not hesitate to do business with FotoConnection in the future, and would definitely recommend them.

"INITIALLY I WAS THRILLED TO BE BUYING A DIGITAL CAMERA FOR SUCH A GOOD PRICE. THEN... I PLACED THE ORDER WITH NO PROBLEM AND WAS TRANSFERRED TO THE SO CALLED BILLING DEPARTMENT AND GAVE THEM MY CREDIT CARD INFORMATION. I ASKED FOR AN ORDER NUMBER OR CONFIMATION NUMBER AND THE GIRL SAID "I DONT KNOW WHAT GREG TOLD YOU BUT HE JUST TOLD ME TO GET YOUR INFORMATION" SO I ASKED HER WAS MY CREDIT CARD INFORMATION JUST GOING TO BE FLOATING AROUND THEIR COMPANY AND SHE SAID NO. SO I ASKED HER WHAT KIND OF COMPANY WAS THIS AND SHE STARTED STUTTERING AND TOLD ME THEY WOULD CONTACT ME. BY THIS TIME IM TRIPPIN BECAUSE THEY ALREADY GOT MY CREDIT CARD NUMBERS. LATER SOMEONE CALLED ME BACK AND SAID THEY WOULD SEND ME A CONFIMATION EMAIL WHICH I NEVER RECEIVED. WHEN I CALLED TO FIND OUT THE ORDER NUMBER, I GOT IT BUT WASNT ABLE TO SEE MY ORDER. NEEDLESS TO SAY, I GOT MY CAMERA AND IT WAS CHEAP GENERIC LOOKING . WHEN I TURN IT ON IT MAKES A NOISE LIKE WHEN YOUR TV IS ON. BUT ALL IN ALL IT DOES WHAT I NEED IT TO DO. IT WORKS FOR ME. THE PROFESSIONALISM OF THEIR STAFF WAS JUST PLAIN AWFUL.I TOLD THE GUY WHO I SPOKE WITH LAST THAT I HAD BEEN REVIEWING THEIR RATINGS AND TOLD HIM THAT SO FAR I HAD HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND HE ASKED ME HOW BECAUSE I HAVENT RECEIVED THE PRODUCT YET. THAT WASNT APPROPRIATE TO SAY, I WOULD HAVE APOLOGISED FOR THE MISHAPS AND ASSURED THE CUSTOMER THAT THEY WOULD BE HAPPY WITH MY PRODUCT. AND NO I WOULD NOT RECCOMMEND FOTOCONNECTION TO MY RELATIVES AND FRIENDS, OR TO MY WORST ENEMY FOR THAT MATTER!!!!!!"
