"The purchasing experience was very nice and I was buying a simple Sony wall mount for a new Sony LCD TV. Although the Sony wall mount product was in stock according to the web site, it is a mystery why it took 14 business days to get it shipped via UPS from FotoConnection."

"What do I really need to say about the Foto .. one of the best..Ordered may 11th delivered that next tues. the 15th..always fast..and for this particular item..the cheapest on the internet ..never had any problems and many orders fulfilled quickly....never even had to deal with CS..always prompt e-mails after orders and shipment update e-mails with tracking..will continue to order from definitly!! FotoConnection are still thieves at this date. And I will get even. This is what I wrote them. Maybe they're paying off city workers to stay in business.

We need to make a prompt return and full refund for order # 205852, $433.00. It's in your best interest too.



I placed an order for the camera at your web site at your price of $199.00 on 6/4/07.



Later got a call from you telling me what it came with was really implacable for use and I needed upgrades.



#1 , One by one I agreed to a few items that were about $40 each. Not any kind of "Pro Package" listed on my invoice# 282748. And the "Pro Package" does not resemble anything on your web site.



#2 , I was told I would receive an email listing the order and I would need to reply to confirm the order before the order was sent. I never got the email so I never approved the order by your own procedure.



#3 , I was told the battery it came with was only good for 2 hours and if I got the better battery and a camera "Docking Station" I be good for 5 hours. I did not get the "Docking Station" and the camera only takes one kind of battery. So what I was told I'd get didn't and couldn't have been received. Sloppy lies.



#4 , It came with no 1 yr factory warranty card as it should have. So the camera could be used or what ever and not under warranty.



#5 , Your web site showed a black camera and I got a silver.



#6 , Instead of the $200 additional accessories you charged other dealers will give twice the goods for $100.



#7, A quick Google search shows at least 2 web sites for consumers to give reviews of electronics dealers.

There's a unanimous outcry of 30+ people warning others that FotoConnection are scamers and stay away at all costs.



But I don't need to tell you all this. You know much better than I. I'm listing all this for the banks, BBB, attorney general, your suppliers, etc., and for my dedicated web site for FotoConnection to warn others that will include the unanimous outcry of 30+ people warning other that FotoConnection are scamers and to stay away at all costs. And that's just starting points. If I don't get a full refund fast. You might need to watch each other's back.

Your closed on Saturdays. You must be a religion kind of bunch. But you feel it's OK to steal. How can that be? Maybe you're part of some kind Jihad or equivalent and should be brought to the attention of the FBI just to be on the safe side. No? Follow the money.

"The camera and housing are great. However, the phone sales people SUCK!!!!!! I thought they were calling to verify my order BUT instead they called to sell more product. Not a huge deal if they would drop it after I said NO!!!! I was very close to canceling my order because of the harassment. If I wanted to order a different battery and an extended warranty I would have. When someone says "NO" listen to them."

"I WISH I HAD READ THESE REVIEWS BEFORE I PLACED MY ORDER. NEEDLESS TO SAY, IF I AM NOW OUT LOOKING FOR A WAY TO WARN PEOPLE NOW, IT HAD TO HAVE BEEN A BAD BAD TRANSACTION. THEY TRY EVERY WHICH WAY TO RIP YOU OFF, I WAS AMAZED OF HOW CLEVER THEY ARE AT CHEATING THE CLIENTS. I AM POSSITIVE THAT THEY HAVE NO REPEAT BUSINESS!

ONE GREAT EXAMPLE OF HOW THEY RIP YOU OFF: I PURCHASED A CAMERA, AND WITH IT WAS A "FREE ACC. KIT". THE ITEMS THEY OFFER FOR "FREE" AS A PROMOTION ISN'T SO FREE AFTERALL. THEY DO NOT SHIP PROMOTIONAL ITEMS UNTIL YOU CONTACT THEM CONCERNING WHY IT WASN'T WITH YOUR SHIPMENT, THEN THEY TELL YOU THAT YOU HAVE TO PAY AN OUTRADGEOUS S&H FEE BEFORE THEY'LL SHIP YOUR "FEE PROMOTIONAL ITEM. OH, AND IT ALSO TAKES 4 WEEKS TO SHIP THEM OUT.

I HAVE TO, THEY WEREN'T AS BAD AS BESTPRICECAMERAS.COM AFTER THEY TRIED TO UPSELL ME AND I TURNED IT ALL DOWN, THEN THEY TELL ME MY TOTAL WHICH SOMEHOW HAD JUMPED OVER $45 THEN WHAT IT WAS WHEN I PLACED THE ORDER. I WAS TOLD IT WAS HADLING FEES. NEEDLESS TO SAY I TOLD HIM WHAT TO DO WITH HIS CAMERA AND I CANCELLED THE ORDER.

"The site is excellent and my order arrived on time. The contents are packed good and as expected. Nice deal for 4 cameras I bought. One small glitch is that the CSR told me that these cameras won't come with extended battery and asked me to pay $10 extra for each. I paid. But when I got the order, those cameras came with default extended battery. I'm kind of cheated by Sales rep and lost $40 unnecessarily. Other than this, my experience is good."

"Its being a shopping nightmare with Fotoconnection.com.
Firstly on my camcorder deal I was charged 50 dollars more (384 $) as against 334 $ which was initially mentioned in Fotoconnection website.

Also no free starter kit was shipped as mentioned in the website. Instead it was shipped after a month after repeated persual and after paying for the shipping seperately.

I will never shop from Fotoconnection and will try to pursue as many friends of not doing any shopping from Fotoconnection.

"It's the same experience as many of the other reviewers have described: I ordered two point and shoot cameras last night, without any extras. Today I got an email to call them to confirm the order? Hmmm... I've never had to do that before. When I called, the guy on the other end confirmed the two cameras, then asked if I needed memory cards. I politely told him no, I didn't need memory cards, but I was beginning to get ticked off that this was obviously turning into a sales pitch. He asked me again if I needed memory (is "No, I don't need any memory cards" not clear enough?)then quickly changed direction and says the xx camera I ordered was the international version, did I want the US version? Getting irritated now, I told him I ordered the only version on their website, and there's nothing on the site about an international version. Flippantly he exclaims "of course there's different versions {which is a lie} and you ordered the international one, the US one will cost an additional $20"!!! I told him he's wrong, I want what I ordered, it's that simple. He said "it's $20 for the US version or we can cancel the order, do you want the me to cancel it?" I said I want what I ordered and I'm not paying any extra, and he blurted "you're order's cancelled" CLICK!!
Would you do business with these jerks? Don't be fooled by the smattering of good reviews, I'm sure they write 'em themselves.
By the way, I had not seen their ratings on this website before I ordered or I wouldn't have initiated business with them. They are disreputable, fraudelent, rude, and unsavory! (to put ot politely).

"I will never buy anything from this vendor again. FotoConnection sales will tell you anything to get the order. I originally went to FotoConnection because of price - what a mistake. When I asked the details regarding a "stripped down" Nikon D40 body I was told that it would be an import model. I asked Sales to upgrade this to a US model, expecting a Nikon USA product and warranty. Upon receiving the product I discovered that it was a gray market item (the serial number would not validate on the Nikon USA site). I successfully argued with Customer Service to get full credit for the gray market body and their assurance that a US model would be shipped. After paying for return shipping at my cost, I received the second body -- it was STILL a grey market body. Another round of calls to Customer Service, they finally admitted that they could not ship me a Nikon USA product. I also have to mention that I got a bunch of lies and excuses from both Customer Service and FotoConnection warehouse management - nonsense about Nikon not validating warranties because they were "...selling at less than US MSRP." In fact, Nikon told me that all US camera body products start with a serial number in the 3xxxxxxxx range and my camera body was in the 2xxxxxxxx range, therefor grey market. Again, I argued with Customer Service for a full refund which was finally granted (15 days after returning the product). Anyone wanting camera products is well advised to go to a front-line vendor such as Adorama. You will pay more, but you will be much happier in the end. It cost me nearly $40 in return shipping costs alone to determine that these guys are simply shysters who will do anything it takes to get your money."

"I ordered a Canon EOS Rebel XTI camera with lens from FotoConnection.com. I found them using a price search engine and they had the lowest price ... by far. This should have been my first clue & I should have known better. If it is too good to be true ...

My sad story is like everyone elses. I got the instructing me to call about my order. When i did, I was placed on hold for an interminable amount of time. When I finally spoke to someone, I was told I ordered a Chinese version of the camera, with Chinese menus and no USA warranty.

AT this point, the salesman became very cheerful (clue number 2) and told me that he could give me a great deal on the USA version for $600 more. And he could give the USA version with a METAL body for an additional $25.00. I think I may have laughed when he said this.

At this point, I told him I was not interested, and that I wanted the order cancelled. He then told me there would be a 15% restocking fee. I argued that they had not even placed the order, charged my card, or shipped anything. And that's when the devil emerged. He actually said to me that only a fool would place an order without reading the companies policies. He said, "Are you a fool Frank?

So, now that I knew what was afoot, I asked him to hold on for one minute which he kindly did. I then told my wife to call the bank and report our debit card lost ... DON'T ASK QUESTIONS. No way was I getting robbed by this loser. My wife gets on the phone, and then I went to work.

I apologized to the guy and agreed I should have read the WEB sit better. I asked him if he would still accept my order. I placed the order for the whole deal ... including an extended warranty. Total came to about $1,600 for a camera you can get anywhere for $700.

He asked me to hold while I he placed the order for me. About 3 minutes later he got back on the phone and told me that my credit card was denied.

I informed him of what I had done, informed him thathe was a horses backside, and hung up. I had no debit card for 4 days, and it cost me $5.00. It was worth every penney.

Go to the New York State BBB before ordering from these guys to see what kind of losers they are. They run under about 15 names all by the same guy and all with the same shady dealings. I wish I had done so FIRST and saved myself the aggravation. In the end, it felt good but I am sure it did not affect their bottom line.

"Nikkor AF-S DX 18-135mm Zoom Autofocus Lens for
Nikon Digital SLR Cameras. Wide-Angle, Telephoto,
Zoom, Lens mounted Autofocus motor. This unit was
advertised as Brand New, Factory Sealed, for $275.
It still is. Email was received for me to phone
back to "confirm" the order. During this call, I
was advised that for $275 I would be getting a
refurbished unit and a brand new one would cost
me another $25. I was informed that there was an
error on the website and that the webmaster had
been informed to correct this pricing error. The
unit is still listed as Brand New, Factory Sealed
for $275. I don't believe the excuse that I was
given for my having to agree to pay the extra $25.

"AVOID AT ALL COSTS! DISHONEST!

Received order cancellation notice with no explanation as to why it was canceled. After waiting on hold for 20 minutes, I was told the following:

"The order isin a pre-canceled state since the item ordered is out of stock with no known restock date. The credit card has not been charged. As soon as the item is in stock, they will charge the card and ship the item."

I promptly said 'No Thanks. Cancel the order. I'll order from someone who wants to honor the prices they advertise.'

The site still lists the item as IN STOCK and for the same price. It seems as if they're performing some sort of consumer FRAUD / BAIT-AND-SWITCH.

"Be careful of the Bait and Switch move. I ordered a 18-135mm DX lens for my Nikon D40X camera. The salesman tried to say that I needed to pay $25 more for a Digital version with a glass lens. After threatening to cancel my order several times they sent me the lens for the price they advertised. Nikon's web site only list 1 version of this lens."

"Avoid this company at all costs. After sending me the wrong product, they demanded that I pay to mail it back to them. When I protested, they said that they would put the incorrect item on my charge unless I did. So I sent it back. It took several weeks for them to send me the correct item, despite the fact that they charged me right when I placed the order. In between there was no communication whatsoever, so I had no idea if I'd ever get my item. Right when I was ready to protest the charge to my credit card company it showed up. If I called for info, they just hung up or left me on hold for eternity. My fault for not doing my research... the internet is full of bad reviews for fotoconnection and new connection. Consider yourself warned. "
