"Place an order, shows as out of stock at processing. Ok . . .
Order alternate item, get a call a few days later from Frys telling me it is open box. Irritated, just ship it.
Get call an hour later, "there's an error in the order, can you cancel it and re-place the order?"
No, just cancel it. What a joke. Went it to my local brick-and-mortar Frys later that week and the place is 90% empty, no joke. Employee tells me they haven't had stock in months.
RIP Frys."
"Fry’s Electronics was reliable and responsive to my request. I highly recommend them. "
"The ssd package was open. Then I bought it. Then frys asked if I still want it, it was used. I said ok. I got the drive and it didn't work. Frys never tested it. "
"works well and arrived before schedule am pleased "
"listing marked shipping .when items ordered fry's cancelled order stated "no shipping"
"I needed to submit four separate orders to purchase the items I wanted. The wrong combination & it would say everything was out of stock. It was really weird and very annoying. I figured out the puzzle, but the website is pretty broken."
"We ordered a micro wave and it was sent UPS ground in an oversized box with no packing! As you might expect it arrived broken and damaged. We mailed it back and are still waiting to receive credit!"
"I ordered an appliance from Fry's at a very good price, got a shipping notice the same day! After tracking the UPS # for days, with the status not changing from the first day ("shipment ready for UPS"), I emailed them through their website "contact us" email page to ask what was going on. I never received a reply back. Why would I ever order from them again or recommend them to anybody?"
"Fast Shipping, good price, and works as expected."
"The first time I tried to order a Panasonic DP UB9000 4K disc player that they advertised for $418.00. I ordered it and the next day it was cancelled. I called them and was told that their store did not have it but their other stores did. I was advised to order it again and my order would be transferred to one of the stores that had them in stock. I ordered one again, and the same thing happened. I ended up trying to order one 4 or 5 times, and each time, I was told that whatever store was supposed to have it was out. No one seemed to have it, yet Fry's continued to advertise the item. I bought a deal of the day for Registry Utilities that had 2 rebates. One rebate for $10, one for $15. First off, the software was for Windows 7 on down. No Windows 8 or 10. Luckily I have Windows 7 Pro, so I was able to download it. I sent in my rebates, they were accepted, but I only received the $15 one and never received the $10 one. I notified the the company about it, but never heard back from them. Then I began having problems with the software and ended up uninstalling it. Another deal of the day was for an 8 ft., 8K HDMI cable that had speeds up to 48 Mbps. I received a 3 ft., 10 Mbps cable. I called them and they indicated they would send me the correct cable and they did. They told me to keep the 10 Mbps cable, but who even uses that anymore. Shouldn't that be taken off their selves? This last order was the straw that broke the camel's back. In my last order, the deal of the day was advertised as 3 Jurassic Park slime bottles for $2.50. My grandson is into that, so I placed the order. When I received the order, there was only one bottle. I called them and was told that each bottle was $2.50. The ad did not indicate that they were each sold at that price. There was not anything in the ad giving you a choice to choose from. The description did indicate there were 3 different color bottles of slime, and to top it off, my receipt listed 3 bottles at $2.50. Fry's continued to state, that even though their ad was deceiving, the price for them was $2.50. I reminded them that it maybe true now, but then it was the deal of the day. In fact, the ad was still listed as the 3 bottles at that price. Regardless of the proof I had, they refused to honor their ad. After speaking to several people on the phone, the last woman I spoke with, was very short with me. she stated that they were going to refund my money and hung up on me. I was asked to do a review on the product and I did mention the problems I had with Fry's, and guess what? I received an email from them that my review was not accepted. I guess they couldn't take the truth. I unsubscribed to their web site and they have lost me as a customer for 2 bottles of slime. "
"I ordered a cordless phone for my home. I get a phone call later telling me they no longer sell them any more. But is still being advertised. So i wen't out and bought them from Best Buy. "
"The ordering was great, the speed fo shipment prp was great, then everything stopped and I received an email simply stating that my order was CANCELLED. That's it. I thought more info, explanation, something would follow. Nope.
So I called. A receptionist told me that the box containing my item was found to be damaged and that the "manager" decided not to hand it over to UPS becasue "they sometimes refuse to deliver damaged boxes". She took my number (of course!) and told me this "manager" would call me to see what we can do to get my item to me.
Nope.
In the end, they weren't too interested in selling, and I'm not interested in buying from them."
"I ordered a monitor and was contacted about them only having one in stock and that it was a demo. I was asked if I wanted to purchase that one and that I would receive 5% off, which was about $10 or so. They said it was in great condition, just the demo. I bargained with them and had them add the warranty for free, although this wasn't something they normally do and was highly appreciated. Fast forward, I received my monitor and it was damaged and dirty. It's almost like they knew it was damaged and just wanted to get rid of it. It was dirty, they couldn't even wipe it down. The monitor was cracked in several places, and this wasn't something I wanted to keep for just spending $200. If it was free, I would keep it because there is no telling what is wrong with it since it is damaged like this, there may be some other things wrong with it as well, but it has to go back. I feel scammed. It's not Fry's fault, it's obviously the workers at the specific store, so not holding this completely against Fry's, as long as the situation gets fixed. Hoping for a good outcome. I would just be wary to buy a demo if you don't have an opportunity to look at it in person. "
"Tried to redeem a a Fry’s gift card at my local store. Went in and the store was literally half empty. Nothing on display or on the shelves in the back half of the store. Ordering online was no use. My first order was canceled after a week without telling me. Customer support said to place the order again. Second order was cancelled- item not available. I emailed customer support, never got a reply. Good by Frys. No stock and terrible support. Just admit to us that you are going out of business already."
"Advertised new product for sale then after I made the purchase they called me to tell me it was a demo display and offered me 10 percent off. Never got the computer."
