"I ordered from GMPartsDirect in 2005 and didn't have an issue, so when I needed quite a few parts I decided to use them again. I would have been hesitant if I had checked them out here first. The ordering process is very cumbersome. I spent two days e-mailing back and forth to get the part numbers nailed down as the on-line catalog apparently doesn't transfer as stated. They did, however, respond to all my e-mails in a reasonably timely fashion. I placed the order on 12/21 and it was delivered on 12/28 even though all the parts were marked as 'special order'. All parts were correct and in factory fresh condition as advertised. I don't know how problematic they would be to deal with if you have a problem, but in my case, everything went smoothly and my only complaint is the ordering process and lack of a phone number."
"These guys need to be shutdown. GM is allowing these guys to exists as a reseller. They are not affiliated directly with GM but the website would have the consumer believe differently. I placed an order on November 1st and heard nothing for 5 weeks. Finally I received an email telling me the hold up was due to one item in my order being on backorder. I told them to remove it. I received a second email telling me the remainder of my order had been sent to the shipping department. That was 10 days ago. I have not received any of the parts. I have no tracking number and they have stopped answering my emails."
"I would give them a zero if you could. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. No customer service. Will not answer emails. The shopping cart doesn't work and when I tried to cancel the order to fix the quantoty, they do not respond. This company is the worst I have ever dealt with. Notice that they don't even have a customer service telephone number."

Order part and not response. sent email and ask if I could cancel the order the said NO because it was a special order and they had received the part and it was in shipping. I got a Fedex shipping notice hours later. However the tracking number said that the part was never picked up by Fedex. It was to be shipped on September 14 and delivered on September 15. None of which has happened."
"Placed my order on 6-20 for a special order part that a local dealership would have had the next day but ordered through them because of the prices. NEVER AGAIN! They didn't process the order until 6-25 (5 days after the order was placed). They sent me a tracking number that they said was a FedEx tracking number but really isn't. They actually use "smart mail" delivery that is delivered by the USPS so they are screwing everyone out of the money on shipping. I found this out after contacting FedEx and USPS. "Smart mail takes a long time" according to the USPS because it is not being sent through them. For the prices they charge you'd expect to get your order quick but they are really ripping people off on the shipping. They could have shipped priority mail flat rate for $5.00 don't know where the other $12 came from if its being sent through the USPS anyway. So, my item finally shipped on Monday, 6-27 and still do not have on 7-1 and will have to wait about another week at least according to the USPS. So beware when you place an order through them. They will screw you on shipping and your order will take FOREVER!!"
"Ordered from them because they were the cheapest on gm hitch cover (including shipping). After waiting almost a month they canceled that item off my order with no notice, had to check the order status on their website. I was told the canceled item was what the whole order was waiting on to ship, the other stuff still didn't ship. Canceled the order, never again. "

I found they don't have a customer service phone #, and then something about orders taking 7-10 days?!?!?!?! WTF shouldn't that be disclosed when i placed my order. The only * was for returns and sales tax. Maybe i'm used to other parts stores shipping the same day, which almost all do. So for them to have a min 7 day is deceiptful."
"I was very leary of ordering from this dealer after reading the reviews here. I read their website and sent them an email. They replied with a link to the part # within 2 days. I ordered the part and received it within a week. GREAT online dealer. I will buy from them again and again. Only complaint was they didn't wrap the painted mud flaps with padding and they have a few slight scratches on them that I will have to buff out, but hey, they are mud flaps. Including shipping, they were $144 delivered. Dealer price $199 plus tax.

"Don't order from this place. You may save a little money, but it's not worth the hassle. The customer service is miserable and shipping is heinously slow. I ordered a part a month and a half ago and I've yet to receive it. I e-mailed them and they said it was on it's way a month ago. I e-mailed them again yesterday and they said they were it would be shipping soon. Don't waste your money or time- order your parts elsewhere."
"I did not have a good experience with this company. GMPartsDirect made an error on the shipping address. I gave them the opportunity to correct the error and they assured me the address would be corrected when the package was returned to them by USPS. When I received the second tracking number, I saw that they did not correct the shipping address. I was able to track down their phone number and called (they only communicate by email). I received a voice mail from them assuring me again that the shipping department would correct the problem. It was not corrected and the shipment was returned to them a second time. This time I requested a refund. They replied by email that they would issue a refund on my credit card. After giving them time to do this, I saw that they never issued the refund. Having given them plenty of chances to resolve different problems, I had to contact the Credit Card company to dispute the charge. In the end, it was the credit card company that credited my account. BUYER BEWARE."
"Great prices on genuine parts. Horrible non-existent customer service, and extremely slow to process anything. Items didn't ship until 3 weeks after the order was placed.
They folded a mat I ordered in half twice to ship it, causing it to split. I submitted a return request the same day I received the items. Their system sent an automated message acknowledging the return request stating that it would be processed. Currently 10 days have passed since the return request and I've received no contact whatsoever regarding the return request.
There is no phone number, so today I called Flow Chevrolet, as they own GMPartsDirect. However, while GMPartsDirect is owned by Flow Chevrolet, I have been informed that they are independently operated. I was also informed that they have no telephone number, ostensibly to keep costs low. I suppose having absolutely no customer service so you never have to accept returns or correct any mistakes would keep costs low..."
"GMPartsDriect has great prices when compared to going to the actual dealer, however their shipping leaves a LOT to be desired. Its been nearly a week since I placed my last order and it has not even shipped yet. On top of that, they use DHL who are almost as slow to deliver a product as GMPartsDirect is to ship it out. So basically, if you need a part for your car, i'd recommend these guys IF you can give yourself a couple weeks before delivery."
