I got Robbed

"I placed an order for around $132. I was told my AVS failed. i recently moved & had new cards issued and thought, maybe my address wasnt updated with my bank since I got new cards. I checked my address & attempted to place my order 2 more times. I soon learned this was a horrible mistake on my part.

My card was charged 3 times for the price of $132 each time. Equaling somewhere near $400. Each time I was told my AVS failed and my order did not go through yet I was still charged. I basically just burned $400 and after reading these other reviews I do not expect a reply to the email I sent this company. I went through this company because my browser told me this website was secure.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THESE PEOPLE. I do not want anybody else to end up in my shoes. Im now out $400 & I am extremely upset over it. Just go to the dealership, i'm sure they are a bit more expensive but at least you arent going to get robbed blind. Worst experience I have had when ordering something online.

NO Customer Service

"Ordered parts for Suburban - when parts arrived they were the wrong parts. I looked up the parts correctly using my vehicle VIN number and their catalog. Their catalog was wrong. Tried NUMEROUS times to return these parts (email, phone calls) but I have received ZERO response from emails and only get answering machine with phone calls. I just ate 213.00dollars. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. By the way, they also go by Flow GM Parts Center, and other internet names. Just purchase from the local dealer or order by credit card - not debit. This way you have the credit card company fight them incase you have a problem with the order!!"

Take your money to your local dealership

"In the end, you're really only saving a couple bucks. They're dishonesty is what should drive you away.

First, its a pass through company; they have almost none of the parts in stock. I needed the parts for the weekend to get my vehicle back up and running. I ordered on Tuesday. I knew they were one day shipping via ground away (I'm in VA, they are in NC), so just to make sure I got them by the weekend, I paid for two day express shipping. . .

I got an email the next morning (wed) saying one of the parts I ordered was on national backorder. I told them to remove that part and proceed to ship the rest. I ordered the part that was on backorder from ebay and managed to receive that one on Friday. Mind you, their system never stated it was on backorder.

Thursday I checked the order status and it was still at "received" or something similar so I called up. After hunting for a phone number (only on your sales invoice) they stated the parts needed to be ordered as they didn't have them in stock (again, this was never conveyed to shown when I originally purchased the parts from them). So they had to order the parts, receive them, then send them. I ended up getting them the next monday/tuesday. So even though I paid for expedited shipping, it still took a week to receive them.

The thing that bothered me, they don't convey any of this to you. If they were open about their lack of stock that allows them to provide discounted prices, I wouldn't have a problem. But they don't convey any of this to you, once they get your money, only then do they inform you that they don't stock your order.

Second, and for some reason this irked me, when I called them, I started asking them about what the status meant, they wouldn't help until I gave them my order number, they are explicit on their website that they only help those who placed an order. To me, this is a lack of care but in all reality, underlying that they really are only a pass through business. The fact that they took my money for expedited shipping yet till took a week to get the parts is non-satisfactory.

And this is really nit-picking, when I spoke to the gentleman on the phone, he was going through the motions in providing me details as this was a seemingly common occurrence.

If you have a couple weeks to burn, go ahead and order. If you need the parts then, don't bother. What they tack on in excessive shipping fee's you more than make up by customer service at your local dealership. I had to order another hose for my vehicle once I started installing the parts they sent. GM Parts direct wanted $21+$14 in shipping cost. It probably would have taken another week to get this part. I went into my local dealership and for $2 more, they'll have it here next day AND I got to speak to a human before my order.

Worst site I have ever used!

"I ordered 4 things 2 shocks a rear dif cover and a gas filler neck. For one it took almost 2 weeks to get to me and I only revived one shock they said they could ship another one but it would take 7_10 days. I ordered from rockauto it was her the next day! Then rear dif cover was way bigger then the one I ordered and finally the gas filler neck was a foot shorter then original! Took them 3 emails and 2 phone calls to get every thing figured out "

Awesome service and price

"I read the horrible reviews and was terrified that they would somehow screw up on a very expensive CrashPad that I ordered for my 2001 SS Camaro, but was pleasantly surprised that they kept me notified from the moment I ordered until the part was delivered and it was delivered in perfect new condition for $220 off regular price and in only a couple weeks to my door :-)

Be learly of the shipping!!

"I paid $125 for a rear bumper to be shipped to my house. I received a call from the UPS Freight Hub over an hour away advising that my package was ready to be picked up. They couldn't deliver this to my house because they said it's freight, comes on semi only and the seller (GMPartsDirect) would not pay to redirect it, no reason a semi couldn't have delivered as we have a business there too and semi's come all the time. I contacted GMParts, no response. I wish they would've mentioned this when I put in the shipping address that it wasn't going to go there!!! Very frustrating."

This company ****

"I spent extra money to have my part delivered next day here it is 4 days later and they still haven't shipped the part, 210 bucks to have a part shipped next day it weighs.0.4 lb and is a short brake line, needles to say after finally finding there phone number online and a rude talk with the "customer service "i was able to cancel the order to purchase it else where and locally with real next day delivery. I will not use this company again. "

AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE IF YOU EVEN GET A REPLY!!

"This company has the worst customer service of any online retailer I have ever used. It took over a week to get someone to answer an email and forget about the phone, no one ever answers and they will not call you back if you leave a message or request a call in an email. My biggest complaint is their return policy. I ordered a part through their on line catalog, the catalog picture labeling was wrong and the text was misleading so I end up with the wrong part because of these errors in their catalog. Their response was
"Upon placing a new order with GmPartsDirect.com for the correct part number by our customer service team, we will override the site policies this once and authorize a return for part number 15943288, restocking fees will be reduced to 20% from 35%.
Please keep in mind part number 15943288 is a special order part and is not returnable. The online catalog is offered by RevolutionParts, a third party vendor.
If the rear manifold pipe is needed a new order will need to be placed for part number 15943289 via the website. Please reply to this email supplying your new order number to receive your RGA number and complete return instructions."
I do not feel I should be charged a restocking fee for an error in their catalog, I WILL NEVER USE THIS SITE AGAIN.

Run and Run Fast AWAY from purchasing anything from the place. WORST EVER.

"Never, Ever, Ever again will I place an order with this company. Took 3 weeks to get order, which was missing a part.
I ordered some OEM bolts, clips and fasteners for my Chevy SUV. It took 3 weeks to get the order, AND when I opened the contents, a piece was missing. An OEM bag printed with: "qty 5: ..bolts, the bag had been opened and stapled shut with only 4 pieces inside. SERIOUS. ! !
I have sent an email to them about this but I dont expect a reply. I ordered the missing part already from eeeeebay, with guaranteed arrival in 4 days.
When I first placed the order, I checked back online a few days later on the status, it showed 'on order'. I checked again after a week, same thing. I called and no answer, left a message, no call back. I sent 2 emails over the next week, NO REPLY, ....NOTHING.
Basically their customer service is NON EXISTENT. AWFUL.
HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE.
RUN FAR AND FAST FROM THIS COMPANY.
I only saved about $18.00 vs ordering from local dealer, in which case I would have had the parts in 4-5 days. NOT 3 weeks.

Never again!

"Ordered 2 parts from this company on 3/1. Today is 3/10. Order status has been "ready to ship" for 3 days. I called their "customer support" and the guy said it was a "special order" so it would take longer than usual. That tells me they are just middle men making money off of reordering my order with another company.

Long story short, first and last time dealing with this company!!!

HORRIBLE SERVICE

"horrible service, took over 4 weeks for me to receive order, they sent me the wrong part twice, they did not issue a refund, now I am stuck with a $100.00 part that I don't need. Take times to respond to email, I got in touch with them over the phone three times, and they are very rude, and they treat you like you don't even know what you are talking about. This was my first time ordering from them, I wish I would of read all the reviews before ordering with GMpartsdirect. Never again will I ordered from this people. Customer service that I talked to very rude, names are Jason and Eric. I also left a message with the parts department manager Luke Bishop never answered my call. "

"I ordered a bumper and fender from GMPartsDirect. I paid $125 for shipping and found out the day of delivery that the parts were not shipped to my house as requested. Instead the parts were delivered to a UPS hub for me to pickup. I was never informed that I would have to find my own means of picking up the parts I purchased. I called customer service multiple times and not once did anyone pick up. I left multiple messages and never received a call back. I emailed them to which I got this reply "Due to the size of the part ordered UPS ground services is unable to transport this part and it must ship via UPS Freight services. UPS Freight ships to your local UPS hub for pickup. The cost for delivery to a residential address that does not have a loaded dock has a higher cost." Had they informed me of this shipping fiasco from the beginning I would have never ordered from them. This company is very unprofessional. I would not refer them to anyone. "
