"I asked about a part number, pk25875522, to add a door lock to the passenger side of my Colorado. The sales rep recommended this: "...Thank you for your inquiry. Below is the technical service bulletin 07-08-64-005 regarding adding the passenger side lock cylinder, and associated parts.
Part number 15931323 is listed as the passenger front outside door handle, includes two rods and cables.
The cylinder will not be coded and will require to be coded and assembled. For your protection we are unable to offer cut/coded keys...." Well, Part number 15931323 is only one of the parts needed. it is part of the kit#pk25875522. I am asking for all charges including shipping that I paid for the wrong part, 15931323 to be applied toward the part I asked about, pk25875522. Plus I asked for a return label. I dealt with Ashley, when Jason got involved, my original request for information on the pk25875522 was deleted from email correspondence! Seems like Jason is either trying to protect Ashley from recommending the wrong part number, or trying to mess her up. I don't mind paying the difference in cost of the parts, I do mind paying (eating) the cost of shipping, especially when it's for the wrong part recommended by the sales staff even after I gave them the right part number! In addition to this, I was charged an additional$30 for wrong part shipping. This came after shorting my previous order for a resistor and harness. I ordered 2, got 1. the second came free of shipping charges, but now I suspect the additional$30 was to pay for the shipping on my short order,#Order Number 511184, Invoice Number 702506

"Terrible customer service, they are willing to sacrifice a customer after tacking on additional handing charges to meet a minimum and inflating shipping of an item to 1 pound to make up on shipping. A $3 part turned into a $16 order because they removed the second item I had on the order due to lack of availability. Called them up and they didnt want to hear it. I emailed before the item was processed since it was on hold for backorder and they sent the order through anyway even though I was cancelling. They dont want any returns or to make up for it, so now they can pay for it with negative reviews."
"While GMPD offers very low prices and a decent catalog, 9 times out of 10 anything you order is considered "special order" and you have to wait an inordinate amount of time for the product to arrive. I'm going on 3 weeks now waiting for an item that I could have otherwise had in 3 days had I ordered from another store. Their return policy basically doesn't exist. Any item marked with an asterisk on an order is not refundable because of its *special order* status, and if they don't carry most parts in stock, that makes virtually everything special order, as it must be ordered elsewhere in the country. While their customer service will respond, they are less than helpful, and their shipping methods are horrendous. Most companies will use UPS Ground or USPS Priority Mail as a base shipping option, which will guarantee delivery within 2-5 days, however GMPD uses UPS Surepost, which means you have a 7-10 day delivery on the pony express unless you pay for expedited shipping. Overall, If I am forced to use GMPD I will, but only at a last resort, otherwise I will look elsewhere next time I go to purchase."
"I have been ordering from gmpartsdirect.com since 2008. I have never been disappointed with the price or shipping. My most recent order was for a couple of special order parts for an out-of-production GM. The order was placed on Mar 6 and I received both items on Mar 21.
I will admit that their email communications are a bit brief and sometimes a day or two delayed, but they were very responsive over the phone. NOTE: I had to get their number from my online credit card statement, since it is not posted on there web site."
"This company is the worst ever. I have sent 2 emails, one was earlier this morning. So, however you want to count that. The other was 5 days ago, with no response. I wish I had read these reviews before purchasing. I used this site to save @ $20. Now it looks like I may be out $180 because the parts I received do not fit my vehicle and they are "special order". Too many "outs" for them to screw you out of money and not credit or exchange something.
I did get a response after New Years. I was told I would be sent a RAN only AFTER I reordered the correct parts. I stated that I had opened the packages, therefore "damaging" the factory package. I was worried about them voiding my return because of this. They made no response to the packaging issues. With their 35% restocking fee and the fear of them screwing me due to the packaging, it would be better to try and resale the parts myself. Like I would give them more of my money.

"This company is a nightmare. I placed two orders with them. The first had a part missing from the order. I emailed them and 2 days later got an email from Ashley saying they would ship it out the next day. Over two months later I emailed again because I still hadn't gotten it. No response. I emailed again 5 days later asking for someone to please respond. I finally got an email back the next day.
Unfortunately, Ashley is no longer here at GMPartsDirect.com. So I'm trying to piece together exactly what we need to do on this order. Obviously Ashley said she would re-order the parts for you and have them shipped out. What I'm doing is tracking the process so we can resolve this issue as soon as possible.

Order 2 Ordered June 29
They sent me a bag or nut instead of a oil dipstick tube. On September 5th I emailed them about it and got a response back the next day. They asked if I wanted a credit or the part shipped and I said ship me the part. O n September 9 I got an email saying they would ship it out. September 23 I emailed back saying I hadn't gotten it yet. I got a UPS ground shipping notification shipped September 23. I got no email from them.
If you want to order from them go ahead and spin the roulette wheel. It's your money. I never will again. "
"ordered a couple items from them a week ago, and when i reached out to them they pointed out that their website says it takes them 7-10 days to ship! They were proud of the fact it only took them 7 days to get mine shipped! Guess they do not realize that fullfillment of web based orders regularly happens the same day in our world! After emails back and forth with them and sending them a screen shot of their website showing the parts were included, they are saying that the use someone's catalog and are not responsible for what it says. So this tells me that they are not only crooked resellers but they also steal things from other's websites for their own use. DO NOT USE THEM AT ALL!"
"GMPartsDirect simply put is the worst company in existence. I placed an order with them and required the order be cancelled shortly after making it. They had nothing on their site about cancelling orders not being allowed. So I sent them an email. Well they replied saying I can not cancel the order because of their terms and conditions, this was not the case at the time of making the order I have the screen shots to prove it. Their only rule that remotely came close was no returns. Long story made shorter, I am stuck with a part that I don't need. Their customer service does not respond to emails, and when they do they speak down to you like you don't know anything.
DO NOT BE FOOLED! Stay away from this company they are the most dishonest bunch on the world wide web."
"Run away as fast as you can!!!!!!!!!! The prices seem reasonable and you can have it shipped to you BUT: 1. There is a hefty shipping charge; it takes 10 days to 2 weeks to receive the parts; and i had a damaged part that took 2 weeks to get a shipping order for a return; it has been over 2 week since I returned the bad part and still no replacement part. I did get an email stating they had reviewed the damaged part and will send the replacement part in 3 days. If that happens that means the replacement part will be 10 days after
they received the returned e damaged part. All in all its been 7 weeks since I placed my border on line and still don't have the parts i ordered. During email dialogue with customer service this seems to be the normal way they operate. 1. High handling charges; 2. several days for your order to arrive; 3. weeks to a month if you get a damaged or incorrect part. "
"I purchased a part from gmpartsdirect.com and found the same part and all parts at least 20% to 30%lower priced at autopartstomorrow.com. I emailed gmpartsdirect and followed up with a price match statement they have on their website. ""If you find a lower delivered price at one of our competitors, please email us a screen shot and link of their delivered price and we will try to meet and beat their delivered price."
This was their response: "I apologize, we are unable to price match on orders that have already been placed and shipped. Please keep us in mind for future orders and if you find a lower delivered price before your order is placed and shipped.
". Summary they charge very high handling prices and shipping. Autopartstomorrow sends them to you in a couple of days and it's free if it is over $50. This should be a no brainer. Unfortunately gmpartsdirect.com will either have to be competitive or move out of the way.

"GMPartsDirect SUCKS. Your taking a big risk if you order from this company. If the parts you are ordering turn out to be special, you can't return them. What SUCKS is, they don't tell you they're are back ordered until it you commit to buy them. I got stuck with one headlight adjuster which is worthless without the pivot which was back ordered and canceled without my consent. The adjuster was $8.39 and shipping was $14.03. What a rip off. They are no different than a thief."
"No customer service at all. Their responses to your e-mails are all form letters. No phone number available nor will they call you to help with your order if you provide your number via e-mail. Credit card verification is automated and so sensitive, if you miss a capital letter on your mailing address it cancels your order but a hold is placed on your card for over a week for the total amount of your order. These people are THE WORST! Do not order from here."

My "special order" parts arrived in just short of 2 weeks, no hassles. A bit pricey,and shipping cost was outrageous, but overall I had good satisfaction with them."
