Changed the price of the item after the order was placed, charged my card for the increased price (over $80.00 increase), and shipped the item with out once calling me.
Then when I called them about it they had no explanation and did not even apologize.
DO NOT SHOP AT GAINSAVER ... Only their GAIN and no SAVER for the consumer!!"
"Do not do business with these people!! I ordered a Powerbook Titanium G4, at what I thought was a good price, and it came with a 90 day warranty. Had some problems with the CD drive after about 6 weeks, and finally just would not work at all, so I called to see how to get fixed. Apparently they only have one person working there, Steve Harper, and He told me to return it and he would replace it. After I returned it, I did not hear back from them for another week, then was told that they did not have one to replace it with. And did not know when they would get one. I then asked for credit to be issued to my credit card, including shipping, since I had already paid to send it back, and was told that it would be issued that day. Well, they deducted $120 for a "restocking fee" for a defective machine. They are not a legit business and I would stay clear of them."
"I think it is a nogo. I fgot a G4 mac a week ago with the insdes not fully attached. I heard some thindg ratteling inside and noticed the "hard drive" or someething wasn't attached. I figgured well it just needs to be latched on. I called it in they were eager to hang up anc very short with me and told me to get online if i had questions. The MAC keeps shuting down on me also. I am in the process of trying to resolve the issue but it doesn't look to hopefull. Please consider this comment, i just wouldn't suggest to anyone to use their services,they seem a bit unloyal to their products thus far, but iam eager to find out the outcome.im going to keep the FAITH"
"Ok, here's my shopping experience with these guys. Over three weeks ago we ordered a used ibook online from them, it was advertised as "available". Soon after we got emails stating that our order had been received and that our ibook would be shipped in 2-3 day. A week later we called to check on our order and were told that our computer was being checked by technicians and would be shipped out in five days to a week (you know, the one that was going to be shipped out in 2-3 days). After another week we call to check on the status of our order and are told that the computer has been "backordered" (the one originally advertised as "available"). More than a week after that while I'm away on business my wife gets an email stating that there is a "problem with our order" and to contact gainsaver right away. She calls them and is told that the computer we want is no longer "available" and would we like to change the order and get another computer instead (wow, the nerve of these guys). She tells them no, we wanted the "available" computer we ordered over 3 weeks ago and to cancell the order. The representative seems perplexed at this and ask "why not just get a different one instead?". She replies that she doesn't trust them after all this hassle. The next day she gets a phone call from gainsaver again saying there is a "problem with your order", that your computer is no longer available and would we want to blah blah blah blah (wow, deja vu!). She replies no and that we will be taking our business elsewhere thank you very much.
I will never do business (or try to do business I should say) with these guys again. It seems from reading other peoples reviews that I'm not the only one with this kind of experience."
"Terrible! See their other reviews online on other sites. My Salesman Steve Harper was soooooo nice while I was asking questions and placing my order, but when I called today with a question, he was short and clicked the phone without saying goodbye. The other GenXr that answered the phone was snotty also. Not good.
You might find the products a little cheaper here, but in the long run, spend the extra few dollars and shop somewhere else. I was told that they had the camera in stock and they actually ship from the Manufacturer, which explains the time delay.
I WILL NOT SHOP HERE AGAIN. TOO MANY OTHER CHOICES AND BETTER ATTITUDES ELSEWHERE."
