"BIG SCAM!!!!!!!DONT BUY FROM THIS GUYS!!!!!! I ordered a Mac Book where i recieved 2. Shipped one back and was the worst custome service i ever dealt with. The one that i keept wasnt given the extended warnity option because the page when i tryed to purchase it gave an error. So fair enough, called next day to try to purchase the warnity and no one answered my call. Like this for 4 straight days untill the customer service voicemail was FULL!
So i decided to write them, but no answer....the time was up and had to give the computer as a B.Day gift. After 3 Days, the computer was giving innumerable problems, and i Dyed complitely. Took it to apple store and we were told that the computer basicly was burt before it was sent, it was just a matter of time that it crashed. Fair enough, it was 850 USD to repair it where it cost me 600 at Gainsaver. called them to deal with this, no answer...e mail them...nothing....untill today, that i talked to the general manager and basicly told me that the only thing he could do for me is to place a new order for me for another 600 UDS..
.RIDICULOUS. PLEASED DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FOR THIS PEOPLE. LETS TAKE THIS GUYS OUT OF THE MARKET BC ITS JUST A SCAM WHERE THEY DONT GIVE A CRAB ABOUT YOU SELLING BROKEN PRODUCTS. good luck to everyone! Alex Gil"
"Don't purchase from these people. Calling them in a nightmare, they sent me the wrong hard drive and Steve Harper said 'he was the man' there to talk with. He did nothing to resolve the situation and demanded that I pay to send back the hard drive hey sent me. Then he put me on hold 5 times, each time coming back as if it was the first time we spoke. If I didn't know better, I'd have thought it was a Twilight Zone episode. NEVER will I deal with these people--saving a couple bucks simply isn't worth the time I wasted. Stay away from them and from Steve, it's a scam."
"After finding the site, I placed an order for a Macbook pro 2.2ghz on the site during their "Normal Business Hours" The next day I get a call from a young lady saying the only one they have in stock has a hard drive that is not passing inspection, and they wanted me to upgrade to one of the units they had with a 320 GB hard drive. I asked, let me get this straight, You have the SAME model I ordered, with only a bigger hard drive in it, but you are stating that the one I ordered is out of stock. How about you remove the hard drive all together, and Ill take the unit with out the hard drive for the price agreed upon. I was told this was not possible as someone else might have wanted to purchase the combined unit. I inquired as to the unit below it, and above it ( the 2.0 and the 2.4) which all 3 are still advertised as available in stock on the site as we speak more then 5 hours after this incident. I was told, they did not have these in stock either. It seems like they just dont want to honor their 10% coupon code they post on the site. I will never do business with them again, and I will advocate against them. Next stop, ripoff report, BBB, and any other place I can post to warn others about this silly site!"
"Don’t believe all the negative reviews. Despite a few minor quirks if you know what to expect and are patient you will be rewarded with a quality product at an unbeatable price.
Ok here is my experience both good and not so good. I ordered a Mac Pro with two 3.0Ghz Xeon Processors, 1 gig of Ram, 250gig HD and an ATI 1900XT video card. The cost was to be $1,389.10 after $50 dollar rebate.
(Upgrades) Gainsaver, like Apple charges ridiculous prices for upgrades for example and additional 250GB Hard Drive is $129. I could buy a 500GB HD from someone like Newegg for $59. The same is true for RAM, 2gigs for $199 from Gainsaver, while I bought 4gigs from OWC for $85. So, I did not want any extras as intended to buy them from other venders for a fraction of the cost.
The day after my order was place I received a call from the sales rep to inform me that the configuration that I ordered was not in stock. However, they had one with the 250gb hard drive upgrade that they could send me for the price of the upgrade. Apparently they do not have the capability to just take the extra hard drive out. Our at least that is not something they do. So despite that fact that you can custom configure your unit on their website, you really only get that they have in stock. Ok, I was not very happy with that but even at a price of $1600 (shipping was just over $50) I was happy with the price so I went ahead and continued the order.
The item shipped the following day and arrived at my front door about 5 days later.
Packing - The computer was very well packed, no issues at all with damage. The Keyboard and Mouse were the cheap (relatively) Macally brand. However, after using them for a while they are perfectly good accessories. I would rather have this new keyboard than a used Apple Keyboard.
Upon opening the package I found the computer to be about what I expected. There are a few scratches on the sides but it is a solid build with everything I ordered except…. It had a Geforce 7300GT graphics card and not the ATI card that I ordered. Since I intend to do some light gaming in windows with this machine the graphics card was kind of important.
Customer Service - I called the sales person and told them of my problem, they said they would handle it. I also went to the website and filed out a service request. The next day they shipped me a new video card, which arrived yesterday.
The Product – As I mentioned it has a few cosmetic scratches on both sides but it is a Mac Pro very well built and everything works, as it should. I installed Windows XP (bootcamp) and it is a very fast windows box as well. I added 4gigs or RAM, and a bigger hard drive I had lying around the house. So for just over $1600 I got a machine that would probably cost me $2000 if I bought it through some other vendor.
The Rebate – Is actually, a $50 dollar store credit. Since there is nothing else I need from them, I will just pass on that. Just know that you are not going to get $50 dollars but it is a credit on something else you have to buy from them.
Overall, I am very pleased with the experience. It started out shaky with the call to tell me that they did not have my configuration in stock. Then got shakier when the unit arrived with the wrong video card. But, the customer service was exceptional and they made it right with no hassles. Also, I am very pleased with the machine itself. Everything works very well, it is clean inside and it was packaged very well and shipped quickly. They handled the video card issue about as well as anyone could expect. Also, you will not find better pricing on Apple computers anywhere on the net so I would give these guys a positive recommendation. Just go into it know that you are at the mercy of what they have in stock.

"THE WORST ONLINE STORE!!! I bought something from them and after waiting for almost a month I canceled my order, they didn't refund my money and I try to contact them every day. I write service requests and they mark them as problem solved when I don't get any reply. Be careful!!!"
"Tried to buy a refurbished monitor. Took them a week and a follow-up call to have them tell me that the item will "ship tomorrow." Two hours later I got an automated "there's a problem with your order" email and six minutes after that a "your order has been cancelled" email. When I called to follow up the "CEO" who was answering the customer support line was rude and dismissive. They now claim they're out of stock but the item is still being advertised on their site. A waste of time and energy. I'll never consider ordering from them again. "
"The Old 'Bait-and-Switch' routine... They advertise cheep macbooks then the day after they call you to tell you that computer is out of stock (yet it's still on the website). Then they try to upsell you to one that is $100+ more yet they have many others listed on the site for less than the $100 increase. They were also rude and hard to get up with when calling back. Would not waste my time again."
"Purchased a MacBook Pro from them and then saw it cheaper on the Apple Store as a factory refurbished model.
While they list the actual part number for the Mac products, the price is for a stripped down version (not what came with the actual product when it shipped).
By the time it is loaded back up to original spec's, the price is no longer the bargain it looks like.
Do the math and be sure the deal is everything it looks to be."
"I ordered a Western Digital Green 1 TB model WD10EACS hard drive. Their website states NEW. When the order arrived I discovered they sent me a Western Digital 1 TB WL1000GSA1672 REMANUFACTURED drive, which is not what I ordered or even the one listed on the packing slip. I called and was advised I would have to pay for the return shipping. They also stated that an OEM drive was a remanufactured drive. OEM drives are not REMANUFACTURED! Even after pointing out that their site stated New and that the model number on the drive did not even match the invoice or packing slip they refused to pay for the return shipping. They stated that the drive I ordered was not in stock, although it is still being sold on their website. They even state they will only issue a store credit. Who wants a credit at a store that misrepresents their products? Stay away from this merchant. If you feel compelled to buy from them be sure to use a credit card, otherwise, you will be stuck with a store credit if they send you what you did not order as they did me and probably others. "
"I have tried to order from this company on (4) differnt times & each time they call & don't have the item wanted. I am a reseller & need the specfic item I ordered becasue its sold. To Make it short this company is very unrealiable. Don't
do business with them. At least I give them a chance (4)times O'Well

"WARNING!!!!!! do not buy from these people!!! they took my initial order then called and told me there was a problem with the order. Steve informed me that the order was going to be $299 more than we agreed. because the computer already had 4 gigs of memory. if you look at their website they claim when they get these computers, they gut them and you can configure them however you want. that is not the case. after about a dozen phone calls (they wouldn't speak to me, kept leaving me on hold) i gave up. i have since contacted my attorney and we will be filing a lawsuit against them. they cost me a very lucrative job i had bid on and needed the computer by a specific date, which they were well aware of. Hmmm maybe thats why i got the price increase??? there are plenty of other REPUTABLE sellers online to deal with. my advice would be to not do business with these people."
"Unbelievable Discounted Prices, Great Products. AAA+++++++"
"Great prices and helpful customer Service, Would recommend and come back again when I need to buy another Mac."
"Great price and service. Ordered a custom configured macbook and it works fine. I am very happy with my purchase."
"DO NOT TRUST GAINSAVER.com
These people are rude, dismissive, ignored the fact they tried to unload a damaged and defective computer on me. They threatened sending a collection agency after me, should I after i suggested that my pursuing a refund could be assisted by my bank (B of A). I suggest considering another alternative to finding a inexpensive used macintosh. If you do buy anything from them—get ready, once they have your money, they turn into jerks — all they seem to care about is getting you off the phone when you call. Hope this helps someone else out of a lot of stress and wasted money and time. Do a google search on GainSaver — I wish i did that before trying them. Yikes. "
