"The exact same thing happened to me as Mike521 below. I probably even ordered the same video card, the BFG Asylum GeForce FX 5900 128MB. Gameve.com did not want to talk to me and they told me to do the same RMA thing on their website. I contacted BFG and they told me it was probably a defective card and they gave me a RMA number as well. I think Gameve.com just repackages/reshrinkwraps defective cards that are sent back to them by customers because mine was sent to me without all the original packaging. I will never buy another piece of merchandise from Gameve.com and I suggest you people don't either."
"Do not buy from these jokers. They charge a 15% fee for DOA mechandise Quote; "* All REFUNDS, including DEFECTIVE and DOA Merchandise, WILL BE charged a 15% Restocking Fee ."
See it in thier own decieveing words here gameve.com/gve/store/help.aspx
and
"* There will be an additional $6 deduction after restocking fee for items with "FREE SHIPPING" promotion."
So potentially you could order a DOA hard drive for $100 and pay $15.00 restocking, and $6.00 "free shipping" and an estimated $12.00 to ship back to them. So this $100 DOA hard drive will cost you $33.00 for a refund.
I'd like to talk about the card "deal" in general, I took part in and recieved a OEM product while reciept says "retail". No where on thier site does it say OEM version and what I got was OEM. No "shrink wrap" and no retail boxed call of duty CD is the give away. This is basically fraud on thier part. When a product is
listed on thier site a resonable customer expects full retail verions AND packageing unless specified OEM verion very clearly, as they seem to do with many of thier other products, like processors for example. Newegg and every reputable site clearly lists OEM for OEM products. Not them. "Lets not list anything and see if we get customers to bite" is thier attitude.
Third I'd like to talk about the shipping container. All it was was a fedex "LARGE"
box with no, I mean zero, packing material which left the boxed card about 10" to move about freely. This is an aweful way of shipping and I hope it's addressed.
If everything works and you get what you think you're getting ording from GAMEVE should be painless. :) However, it's when things do go wrong and your looking for honest reseller we use places like newegg.com. "
"Smooth transaction...................................................................."
"great seller and fast shipping would defintly buy from again"
"If they are as fast, efficient, with products as well packed as they were with me then they deserve a higher rating. The product I ordered is exactly the product that I got. I have not had to deal with returns so far and cannot comment on that aspect of their business. Good transaction. No problems."
"Would have liked a free t-shirt with this order. I ordered a video card back in jan. and forgot about the t-shirt deal since then, and I will probabily forget the next time I order from you. Even so, my order was backordered, but I was not made aware of this untill later that day. A t-shirt for the delay would have been nice too."
"Quick shipment, good contact. New version of product came without DVI to VGA adapter, but they sent out free of charge & free shipping. Would definitely do business again with them."
"Extremely fast delivery. Great price and service!! Am glad I found them. Will shop here again."
"It was a very good product and shipped quickley. I'm very happy with the quality of the product and may shop here again."
"I ordered an ATI Radeon 9700, Audigy 2, optical intellimouse, and a Raidmax case. I paid for 2-3 day fedex. I got the first three in a very timely fashion, but the case never came. I first sent an email asking them when it will arrive and I never got a response. Then I phoned them after the weekend which made it 5 days and after some time they found out that the case was never sent. That they didn't have them in stock and that it wouldn't be coming from them but from the manufacturer. I told them they should've at least made me aware of the situation. The response, "You got the other parts quickly." "Yeah but what good are they if I don't have a case to put them in?" So they informed me that they were going to be sent from overseas in 2 weeks so I told them to cancel the order. The next day I recieved a confirmation of my refund and they included the $15 shipping charge. So at least they did that. Conclusion: Make sure when you place and order that you get COMPLETE information about what is in stock and what is coming from overseas. Prices are good and they were efficient despite the debacle with the case."
"Very fast shipping and product arrived in perfect condition. I would buy from them again"
"Full disclosure: GameVE asks you to rate them at resellerratings.com
and offers you a free T-shirt with your order if you do so.
I've ordered from GameVE on two occasions. The first was for a the Sapphire
clone of the ATI 9600 Pro graphics card. This was several months ago and
predates the T shirt offer. The card arrived promptly but the Sapphire box was
missing the VGA->DVI adapter dongle. The box did include the SVGA
cable. Sapphire uses a small circular piece of tape to hold the box shut and it
was placed off-center over the edge such that it did not hold the box shut well
(not enough tape surface area where needed). I assumed that either Sapphire
screwed up, dropped the box, and didn't put everything back that fell out or
GameVE did... I sent mail to GameVE asking for the adapter (and sent mail to
Sapphire to confirm that it was supposed to be in the box - their web site
claimed that it was). Neither party replied to my email. I went out and bought
the damn thing for $15 (thus wiping out most of my savings from having ordered
this card at a decent price with free shipping on-line :-)) I didn't hold a
grudge against GameVE for the missing adapter (since it could have been a
Sapphire screw-up) but did for blowing off the email.
My recent order was for a Chaintech mobo and Athlon 64 3000+ to go with
it. GameVE had excellent prices on Pricewatch for these items. They were
shipped promptly and packed well. They even included the free T-shirt. You'd
think GameVE would send you a GameVE t-shirt. Not so. Looks like a trade-show
leftover - a Nvidia t-shirt from Leadtek. But heck, it was free *and* 100%
cotton.
So right now I stand 50/50 with GameVE. Poor customer service
with the first experience and everything just fine with the second.

"Package was shipped within 2 days, received on time.
Everything went smoothly with the order but card arrived DOA, currently waiting on a RMA."
"excellent. fast and quick. works great. A++. would recommend buying from here."
"I had a great experience with this seller. The website was easy to navigate, the price was excellent and shipping was free. They processed the order quickly and I received it very quickly (it was very well packaged to boot). I will definitely be ordering from them in the future."
