"I can say that this company misled me in to buying their video card. They were selling a ATi Radeon 9600 XT for 148 bucks, and it had the picture of the BBA card. I called to say when I received it that it was not the one on the site. They gave me a crappy card, never heard the brand "Xpert Vision". They began to put excuses and lie to me like saying that OEM is "Other Engineered Manufacturer", and that is a total lie. They were unpleasant on the phone when I spoke to them. The moral here is be careful what you order, I would not recommend this company. "

"I ordered a Saphire Radeon 9800 Non-pro online on Nov, 26th '03, which was $260 plus $8 S&H. At the time it was, admittingly, one of the best buys on pricewatch, even with shipping. I was billed and received an e-mail saying that it was not in stock and was on backorder. After a week, I e-mailed their support inquiring if I could have it before Christmas (it was a gift) with no response. 2 weeks after my order, they said they didn't know when they were going to get it, so I "upgraded" my order to a Powercolor Radeon 9800 Pro ($330+$8S&H). Comparing prices later I saw that I was not getting such a great deal, but I stuck with it. I received the card in 3 days, and it was definitely defective. The video was scrambled, even in BIOS readouts (before Windows and Windows drivers even loaded) and memory check jargon was garbled. It was the card, not drivers. It was now Dec. 19th, and my time for getting an actual Christmas present for my visiting in town sister was pretty much out. I called them again, explaining that it was obviously defective, and they said I had to pay a %15 restocking fee. I told them that I should not have to pay a re-stocking fee for a defective item. After 3 phone calls of arguing with their customer support, they went with this, but said I had to pay the shipping fee--which I did.
On December 21st, I UPS'ed the video card to their returns dept.
On December 28th, I received another e-mail saying I was billed for another Powercolor Radeon 9800 Pro that I *never asked for*. I immediately called them up, distressed at now having a $700+ dollar bill on my bank statement.
I was told they would refund my money for the one card that I never asked for immediately, and the first card when they received it. (They said they didn't have it, but according to UPS tracking records, they had it for 3 days, and one of their employees had signed it). After I told them this and gave them the tracking # to prove it, they changed their story and said they had a large pile of stuff they had to process through. I ended up receiving the second card (which I was told I was not going to be sent). With phone call #6 I told them I was not going to pay for shipping to return a video card I never wanted, so the CS guy said I would be mailed a pre-paid FED-EX mailing form in 2 days. After waiting for 10 days to receive this form, I called Fed-Ex and told them I never wanted the package (it was just dropped on my doorstep unsigned). FedEx said they would return it to the sender.
It now being January 16th and no refunds in site, I called GAMEVE to pursue getting my first refund for the card which they had received 3 weeks ago. (The CS dept., who always handed me a different name every time I called them, and yet when I asked for of the growing list of 7 reps I had written down, none of them were ever there except for the second phone call.) When I inquired about my refund, the CS guy said something, and I said, "I'm sorry, I'm having trouble understanding you. Could you repeat that?" The rep then said that "I was not listening" and then started being obnoxious and speaking in an over-annunciated-10 words a minute manner; ending with, "can you hear me now?" Getting defensive, I replied, "I'm sorry, but between the phone distortion and an accent I have difficulty understanding you." I wasn't trying to be a jerk-- I was being frank. On retrospect, I should have just not of even touched that subject, and he accused me of being a racist, and at which point I said that was just the reason I couldn't understand him, and I told him that for the last 7 weeks I had been infinitely patient for all the crap I had been taking from this company since I ever did business with them, and that I should have a little of that patience in return. (I had always remained firm but civil with all the phone calls). I was then told by the rep that I would get my refund by Monday 01-19-03. I gave them till Thurs. the 22 to get results on my online bank statement (it takes *up to* 2 days to show transactions), and they got another phone call from me, upon which I said "I want it done right now." SO here I am, January 26th, and I finally got my refund. I can thoroughly say (now) that I would never do business with these guys even if their prices were to be the lowest of all.

"i normally purchase my online items at newegg as they have spoiled me with great service the last few years, however they did not carry a specific video card i was after, (bfg asylum fx 5900; great pricepoint and not an XT/SE), so i decided to order from gameve.

placed order on 1/20 around 12:40pm pst. i received an order confirmation shortly after. the order was processed that evening, and i received shipping confirmation email the following day.

package arrived fed-ex around 2pm on 1/22; about 48 hours after i placed the order.

update: the card installed and worked fine. i was however concerned to find that the product had been opened, and some contents possibly missing. my email to gameve.com have gone unanswered, leaving me to change my mind about ordering from this company again.

having discussed gameve's service with others who also purchased this produce (some, like mine, were opened, some were missing parts, some were apparently oem when a retail was ordered/billed, others were doa.. i would recommend everyone stay away from this company. saving a couple dollars is certainly not worth the headache dealing with their customer support should the need arise.

"A vid card was a first time purchase from this vendor. Ordering went smooth, they confirmed quickly and shipped out right away. Received card as described and was well packaged. Installed card & found the vid card's fan not working. Did the RMA process through their site. Everything went smooth again. They confirmed RMA right away and I sent the card back. A replacement was shipped out within three days and I received it two days after. This one worked perfectly. Very satisfied with Gameve. They took care of things quickly in a very professional manner. Highly recommended and would definitely buy from again."

"I ordered a BFG GeforceFX 5900 on Monday 1/19 (a holiday!) and received the card today, Wednesday 1/21 @ 2pm. The whole deal was concluded in under three days. What's the big deal? It was processed and shipped out from California to Florida and STILL made it that fast (FedEX is so fast it's scary sometimes). Can't ask for anything more. The best part? The shipping was totally free, no strings, no hidden charges; and the card was a steal @ $177 (down to $174 as of right now, darn it). The card was carefully packed. Everything was accounted for and in perfect condition (I'm using it now). The fact that the card overclocked out of the box from default 400/850 to 475/975 (haven't tried for anything more) is just icing on the cake. It overclocks beyond FX 5950 Ultra speeds for well under half the price. Again, can't ask for more than that!"

"Ordered a retail Albatron GF4 Ti4400 and received in a decent amount of time. The card was DOA, so I shipped it back the next day. After the online RMA status remained unchanged for a week after receiving it, I called and they told me that they were out of that card and they could substitute an OEM Leadtek Ti4400. I said that was fine as long as they shipped it promptly. After another week they finally decided to ship the card. Poor RMA response time.

Update 1/29: I was contacted by Lawrence (GameVE Manager), who offered me some choices as to my return. While we will see how it turns out, I am much more optimistic about the outcome.

Update 2/19: I have since received a Barton 2500+ that Lawrence gave me a discount on, and the difference was refunded to my credit card. Overall a better experience than I expected at the end of January.

"After looking at reviews and checking BBB I was worried about my order but have to say it came before estimated ship date (two days early) and I received an order confirmation and tracking number for the order of a video card and C.O.D.
