"Customer service suck. Sent wrong part. Didn't want to ship the correct overnight. Caused me a lot of headache and never cared to have a satisfied customer."
"Excellent service and FAST shipping. Great deals on products. This is the third time I've ordered from this company and will continue to use them."
"I found this company off of a www.pricewatch.com search. They had a good price for my product, Sound Blaster Audigy 2 Platinum, and also offered free Fed Ex express shipping. After recently buying a Video card from a Californian based company, and getting it shipped by ground to Maryland (cross country), I was happy to have a shipment that would arrive sooner than one week's time. The item was shipped promptly, and I'm awaiting it's arrival."
"GameVE is an excellent company, who I trust and continue to go back to every day for my ordering needs. They have quick service, and I've never had any problem with shipment."
"I must admit my experience has been a bit frustrating. However, the fault isn't with GameVE. I had some issues with my CC address verification etc.. A problem which I've had elsewhere.
The folks at GameVE have a nice tracking system with email that logs problems and tells of progress (or lack thereof). They've been available for all but one of my calls as well. Note: time difference could have been an issue.
I have yet to recieve my card but am assured should be on the way in the next day or so.
I'd say I may come back and shop again to see if my next order goes more smoothly. (note to self: use a different CC)"
"excelent service. expect to buy from gameve.com again and would recomend it to friends"
"Ouch, ouch, ouch. Never again.
This has been the most painful internet purchase I have ever made.
Ordered an Sapphire ATI 9800NP on Oct. 9.
Recieved Sappire ATI 9800SE. Junk. I got it fast tho'.
Requested an RMA. Sent back the junk card which they recieved on Oct 23rd. Their web site claims that they process RMA parts in 1 to 2 business days. It took them at least 7.
Thursday, the 30th, they claimed the part would be shipped and I would get a tracking # in email. Never happened.
Friday, the 31st, they claimed the part had been shipped that day, and I would recieve a tracking number. Again, didn't happen.
Monday, spoke with 3 different reps, all of whom claimed the package had gone out Friday. All assured me I would get a tracking # in:"a little while". Called back a couple hours before close of business and asked to speak to a manager, who said the part had been mailed out today(November 3rd), here's your tracking number. Tracking number didn't work. Odd. He said try again @9pm. It probably hasn't been entered yet. Odd that he'd give me a time to check that is after their office has closed.
Right now, I'm trying to reach VISA, to see if I can get this thing cancelled. I am soooo done with these clowns. "
"Good web site. Great prices. Would prefer to be able to use "Ship To" address with less hassle."
"Wow. what a fun time i have had with this company. Wait, no i didn't. I should have paid the extra 20 bucks and gone newegg. But i thought hey let me save those 20 bones and try this place out. Well i got my video card in the mail. So far so good. I was in wonder staring at the box. ooo the 256mb Powercolor Ati Radeon 9600 Pro. I got home and i installed it. Yay. lots of fun. "But wait... something is wrong witht his card! it is clocked slower then a pro, but it cant be a non-pro the box says pro!" so i took it out and it was the damn non-pro, someone at their warehouse must have given me their non-pro and stolen my pro. What a pain. Now i have to pay extra money so i dont have to be without a video card for them to do a cross-ship. i wont order form these guys again.
Side note: it took them 2 full work days to ship my pro. I think that should get priority. call me crazy
Side Note 2: I will never order from this place again. Unless i save more then it would cost for them to cross ship me something else. "
"Ordered a Radeon 9600, came in excellent condition at an extremely affordable price! Bravo!"
"Very pleased with the whole experience. Had best price as indicated by PriceWatch... shipped promptly as well."
"My third order from them, I ordered 6 products from different companies late on the 29th, they shipped next day. With all but 1 company shipping after them. Every order with these pople has been a pleasure, and I certainly intend to do it again in the future."
"Price is very reasonable and even includes free Fedex Express Saver shipping! Product was well packaged in Fedex's Large Box and filled with form. Product's original box did not even have a scratch! Order arrived on time as indicated. Product running fine so far. Very happy with order. Would be better if allowing different shipping and billing address is easier."
"Ordered a Gainward FX 5200 video card on Oct. 9. Received a Chaintech FX5200 on Oct. 14. Phoned 800 line to set up RMA and return of wrong product same day and was told to use Web RMA process, which I did same day. I requested GameVE ship what I had ordered and provide a paid return shipping label for the Chaintech I didn't order and did not want.
This dealer's FAQ says a response to RMA request will be made within 1-2 days. After 48 hours passed, I emailed both the RMA and Sales departments on Oct. 16 requesting a response. I received an RMA # via email late in the day, but no mention of a paid return label. I emailed a reply immediately to the RMA and Sales departments regarding the paid return.
Having received no reply by Oct. 22, I emailed both departments again. Sales department replies and asks that I phone the 800 number and ask for the RMA department. Back to where I started before being told to use the web system.
Phone RMA department on Oct. 23 and go over the situation. I am told a paid shipping label for the Chaintech's return will be mailed to me.
Oct. 30, no paid shipping label. I phone the RMA department again... "Oh, we'll send you a label."
At this stage, I have to either assume incompetence or stone-walling in the hopes I'll give up. If the paid shipping label does not show up in a reasonable amount of days, my next step will be to cancel the order, inform my credit card company to take over from here to credit my account from their end, then hold the Chaintech until paid shipping for it arrives.
Note to California residents. Section 17538 of the Calif. Business & Professions Code requires dealers like GameVE to ship what you order within 30 days. If they cannot ship what you order, dealers are required to issue a refund, or offer you a substitute. If they send you a substitute and you don't want it, the dealer must extend:
"the opportunity to return the substitute goods or services and the vendor promises to refund to the buyer (i) the cost of returning the substitute goods or services and (ii) any portion of the purchase price previously paid by the buyer."
So if these folks send you the wrong product, try and con you into paying return shipping, and you live in Calif., the law says GameVE must pay for the return of the goods you didn't order."
"awesome prices! i bought my graphics card YESTERDAY and it came THIS MORNING! "
