"I ordered an Audigy 2 ZS from GameVe.com on a Friday and it arrived as it should have on Tuesday. Nothing was damaged or switched around/opened. The packaging was done so that it didn't get tossed around TOO much and was delivered by Fed Ex. Only problem was that I never received my shipping and payment confirmation until it had arrived. I didn't mind much just as long as I received my package in perfect condition."

"Ordered a new hard drive and video card from them last friday morning, paid for rush service and overnight shipping, wanted the stuff to get to my home address that saturday. Sadly they didn't, back at college now but parents called to let me know that my stuff is now there. Apparantly the overnight delivery they use is only guaranteed overnight if the package is sent prior to 3, it was picked up at 430 according to the tracking info which i also got today after the package was already delivered (so little upset about wasting so much money on shipping which didn't go as fast as i'd hoped). Little slow there on sending out tracking #'s. Depending on the contents of my order could be very happy, little wary after reading some of the other people's comments.

Update 10/28/03:
Opened my package last weekend to find the right hard drive and the wrong graphics card. Same brand but lower quality version than the one i ordered, the price difference from them was about 10 dollars, but list price difference of around 50 dollars so little annoyed, but not gonna bother fooling w/ their returns policy as i'm already tired of dealing with them as it is. Also doubting as to whether or not the extended warranty i bought on my graphics card will be valid on this one so that's probably another ten dollars down the hole. Figure w/ the money lost on the graphics card, shipping, rush processing, and warranty i'm down about 100 bucks, definetly last time i bother ordering from this company. Very sloppy and unprofessional.

"This is a great site. I got an awesome deal on my Radeon 9600. There was a little problem with my credit card company at first but when it was solved the package was on it's way. "GameVE.com was great. They have a phone number that they answer right away and are they were more than happy to answer any of my questions. I payed for my purchase with a money order after sending the payment on tuesday, I received the package today.( the following monday). This is an awesome turn around time and I was really suprised to see my package so soon. I was expecting the drive around mid to late week. Overall this has been a very positive experience and I would highly recommend this company as I know that I have found a company that I will certainly buy from in the future."

" Placed order for Athlon XP after PriceWatch search and had it in 3 days as requested. They supplied email with tracking and all was problem free.
It looks to me like they screwed up on some Radeon 9800's and maybe some not so good communications and infuriated a few folks. Although I had no problem this first time, based on what I read on the 9800 problems, the lack of communication, I can't say for sure I'll be back. I'm in sales and I can put up with supply problems, but poor communication is NOT excusable!

"I ordered a FIC Radeon 9500 Pro on a Monday evening at a great price: $160. Hard to believe, but I placed the order as Gameve's site said it was in stock. I had been debating between a 9500 Pro or 9600 Pro from Newegg. I should've gone to Newegg.

I placed the order late Monday evening. I got a confirmation email and my account was charged. I expected the order to ship out the next day. When that didn't happen, I gave them a bit of leeway as their site did say to give them 1-2 days for shipping.

Finally, Wednesday came around and no shipment email. I called their customer support and spoke to a very nice guy. He told me that the item was no longer in stock - hmm, but I placed my order on Monday when it was in stock. Shouldn't they have set my order aside? Guess that's not how it works. So after a bit more searching I found that Newegg had a new stock of Connect3d 9500np cards. I called Gameve customer service and asked to cancel my order. They kindly said alright. I placed my order at Newegg.

A few hours later, I got an email from Gameve. They said my order had not been canceled, despite my instructions to do so. Naturally, I was a bit peeved as I had already ordered from Newegg, but I was also happy at the prospect of still getting the 9500 Pro. So I didn't complain and waited it out.

The following Monday, the package arrived. It was definitely NOT the card I ordered. It was a Powercolor 9500 non-pro. Hardly the same card. The card was also selling for substantially less on the Gameve website. I tried to contact Gameve but they were nonresponsive about having shipped the wrong card or refunding me the difference. This kind of practice is unacceptable. I wouldn't be able to get warranty service on the card because it was different from what I paid for!

Needless to say, I will stick to the sites I've trusted for so long. Newegg won't pull a bait-and-switch on me. Sorry Gameve. You've lost a customer.

"Ok where to begin, I went into this whole ordeal thinking that these guys got it together. They cater to the REAL PC enthusiast, and to the hardcore gamer in all of us. With that being said I'll say this, WHAT A DARN SHAME.
I ordered my parts on 10/02/03, just got them today as of 10/17/03, now I did ship them ground shipping which is supposed to take awhile, but when I called gameve on 10/10/03 to see why it wasnt shipped yet they told me they were waiting on a back order of fan grills, they also told me that it was going to be a 3day air shippment since they didnt forsee this happening.
Thats not the bad part, once I got my stuff I quickly noticed the video card I got was not the Radeon 9800se I ordered http://www.power-color.com/r98se-c3.htm (based on the Radeon 9700 PCB), but a lame @$$ rip off with TSOP Packaged RAM, (i.e. weaker than a Radeon 9500).
And I know I made DARN sure which one I ordered, Cause when I noticed it on pricewatch they described it as a Radeon 9800se with 256-bit wide DDR, and thier own website showed the one off powercolors website (above).
I returned to their website to see that they quickly changed the same product I ordered (and the description) to the cheap knock off they sent me... Now with In-line TSOP packaged memory
I am now RMA-ing it, and I know it'll cost me money, which I earned, they didn't.
So in short they screwed up my order sent me the wrong video card, also the xaser fan grills were bent, and their definition of RMA must mean Radeon Managment Agency, cause if they manage to send you the right Radeon then they AREN'T doing their job, theirs must be to rip you off.
And as I said it's a shame that out of all the people who buy from them it is I who has to give them such a bad rating for service.
I do not recommend this site to anyone or anybeing at all...

"I was honestly hoping to be able to write a good review for GameVE. Their prices were very good. However, the $1350 order had wrong, missing and damaged items.

I ordered Kingston Ram, I received Elixir (a product they do not even offer for sale.) The 2 sticks were thrown in a simple zip lock baggie, back-to-back and bound with a rubber band and were used. Two fan kits were missing.

Although shipping boxes looked perfect, both computer cases were damaged. On one, the plugs for the side window fans were left loose and flopping so that their movement in shipping scratched up the side windows. The other had the extra wires and metal parts loosly tossed in the case which further scratched up the window, the plastic front cover was broken off and the top of the metal case was dented in. The bottom of the latter's shipping box had obviously been resealed with a different type of packing tape. This was obviously a case that someone had returned damaged and GameVE simply resealed it and shipped it to me. I did not report this as I did not want to pay $40 for shipping back to them and an additional 15% restocking fee. (They do charge a 15% fee even on returned of damaged and dead merchandise). For that price I could almost buy a whole new case.

I called GameVE about the memory and missing fans. I was told that the memory substitution was their error and that the fans were on back order. Their site showed the fans were listed as being in stock, and continued to be listed that way through today. Instead of taking the info on the phone, they told me to fill out an RMA request from their Web site. I did so, clicked send and was sent to a "page not found" screen. I did this on three separate computers with the same result all 3 times. I sent them an e-mail and was told, "if our RMA page do not work. Please try to contact our RMA Department by phone." One last Web based try the next morning and the RMA request went through. I immediately received an automated copy of my RMA request in e-mail and was told to wait for an RMA number. Two days later I finally received the RMA number. I returned the incorrect memory to GameVE along with hard copies of all e-mail exchanges.

Five days later, after no word from them in any form, I sent them a note asking for an update and received no reply. Three days later I sent another e-mail, this time copying the owner (****@****). The next day I received a reply from him stating, "Our RMA Agent confirms the package yesterday. If there is any delay, I do apologize for it.. it will be taken care no later than tomorrow."

Two days later I received email from their RMA department... again telling me how to ship back the merchandise (that I had shipped back weeks earlier) and giving me an RMA number. I replied promising that if they did not get this straightened out fast I would be in contact with my credit card company and the California Attorney General's office. Early the next day I received a notice that the package had shipped and a tracking number.

Five days later (17 days from filing the original RMA) the package was received with correct memory chips but no fans. I attampted to fill out another RMA request and again received the page not found error. I wrote e-mail to Lawrence and 4 names at GameVE with all of the details including the fact that their RMA page was not working. 24 hours later there was no reply. I tried the Web site again... same error. Sent e-mail again, this time I received a reply from "orderstatus" to call in the RMA. That evening the RMA site was working again.I seent in the RMA info and, once again, immediately received an automated form e-mail that my RMA request was received and would be considered, and to await a reply which would come in one to two days.

Two days pass with nothing more.

Monday morning I will be in contact with the the offices of the California and Ohio Attorney Generals, and my credit card company. 30 days will have passed so I guess I lose there. I will be posting my review of GameVE in every review forum on the Web I can find... maybe I can save other prospective buyers from having to deal with GameVE.

So, if you like to gamble, definitely buy from GameVE. Chances are if you only order a single item other than a video card or CPU (going by other reviews here), you may get lucky.
Personally, I went broke and got broken merchandise, broken promises and broken English. From now on I shop at NewEgg.com and Googlegear (aka zipzoomfly.com).
